Part 22

I stared at the wall. It was covered in photos of Clark, her friends, and her family. Photos ranged from her coming home from the hospital, to her first school dance, and finally to now. You can tell that Clark was a memorable person, someone who didn't want to forget anything good.

"I had more before" I heard Clark say next to me, her voice was filled with pain. I turned to look at the real Clark not the one captured in all the photos.

"Oh?" I stated watching her eyes cast down as she thought. I could tell, by the way her forehead scrunched together and her lips where pulled into a frown, that she wasn't as happy as she was made out to be at school.

"Yeah. I used to have pictures of my ex boy friend and I. I had thought we where going to last forever, get married, and have kids. I thought he was going to be with me forever, but I was wrong." She whispered, I could see her eyes filling with tears. "I put all the pictures of him into a box so I wouldn't have to see him. I was waiting for a good time to drop them in the river to finally say goodbye to the memories."  She said as she pulled a box out from under her bed.

I watched as she placed the shoe box on her lap gently pulling the top off to reveal stacks of pictures. There where so many pictures in such a small box.

"What's kept you from tossing them?" I asked as she handed me a picture. It was a picture of her wrapped up in a mans arms. A blanket surrounding there sleeping forms. I looked at the man closer to see that it was the same guy that was at there front door earlier.

"I just didn't have the guts to do it alone. I was wondering if you wanted to go with me? You can add something to the box if you want. A picture of who ever hurt you?" She suggested looking up at me.

"No one hurt me" I stated loudly tossing the picture back into the box and moving away from her. She cant just assume my life like that, even if she is right.

"Liar" She stated calmly. "I know that someone hurt you. Its pretty obvious you know" she stated putting the top back onto the box and sliding it under her bed.

"How about you stay out of my life? You and your brother can live without me." I stated as I stood up and began to walk to her door.

"Wait. I need you." She stated standing up.

"No, you need to leave me the hell alone." I stated walking away. I really shouldn't have friends. What he did was smart. He was smart to just forget me.

To bad that monster couldn't forget me.
