Dearest Reader,

I will keep this as short as I can, as readers deserve to read the story, rather than slog through the ramblings of an otherwise muted author. (I promise, chapter updates will continue next week.)

As you the reader and I, the author, stand on the halfway point of this story, I can't help but admit to you, that in the words soon to follow, there is a measure of anticipation that both scares and excites me.

Never before have I let loose this kind of story upon the eyes of others, and realizing the scope of dedicated readership gives me a swelling of pride that I could not have felt doing any other passion project.

Now, with all that said, I feel it is important that I confess to you, oh reader, the secret of this story.

This is, in fact, a completed novel.

I finished writing this book while I was in college, studying for my undergraduate degree, and have been editing it ever since. It has been a profoundly enriching experience writing this story and I feel that within these humble prose, there are reflections of both myself and of many others whom I have had the privilege of becoming as much a part of their lives as they are of mine.

I now present this story to you to read and enjoy.

May you find satisfaction in the chapters I continue to edit and post in the coming days, in the same manner that I have been incredibly honored in the crafting of its every word.
