Self Control
Eiichi peered down at her face. When he finished the song, he had to admit he knew she would cry, but he still feel a tad guilty about it. She fell asleep quickly too. Must be tired...
He scowled at himself. Wow, yeah. What a great person you are to make her cry like that. Amazing job, you stupid glasses-wearing asshole.
All kinds of negative thoughts came flying into his mind at once. Particullarly about his glasses. He has no idea why nor how he came to dislike them so much, but he does. Does he have a thing against glasses? No, you're just finding stupid reasons to hate yourself.
The girl beside him stirred and he froze. He turned back to her and he was surprised their eyes actually met. Almost as if she could see him.
He wanted to ask a lot of questions about her opinions of him. What she thinks about his personality, what she feels when she's around him. Instead, his absolutely amazing brain rejected the request. "Why the heck are you still up?" And really politely too.
She didn't seem to take any offense in it and instead, blinked. "You're not gonna sleep?"
He inwardly scoffed, but answered. "I will. In just a bit."
She blinked again. Then, her hand reached out towards his face and touched the rim of his glasses. "Eiichi, you should take those off if you're gonna sleep." She plucked them off of his face.
Now it was his turn to blink. Multiple times. Things were blurry, but they're not that bad. He took the glasses from her hands and placed it on his desk.
"Eiichi."
"Hm-" He turned around when he was called again and was surprised to have his back pressed onto the bed, her lips suddenly meeting his. What made it more surprising was that this was the first time she initiated it.
The negativity left and all he could think about was how soft her lips were. He wanted more. Much, much more. And he will get what he wants.
He flipped their positions and started kissing back. Roughly. This really isn't the kind of thing they should do at almost 3 am, but he doesn't care about that. Not a bit.
She flushed. This wasn't the plan... She had heard him mumbling about things beneath his breath and only wanted to calm him down. She knew he wouldn't listen to her unless she got his attention somehow. And the kiss was the only thing that came to mind at the time.
His lips left hers and they trailled down her cheek before going to her ear. It had just barely grazed over and the warmth of his breath made her turn bright red.
His hand went down and held hers, caressing it gently with his thumb. He went on his side and used his other hand to pull her closer. While her one hand was still being held, her other landed on his chest.
She felt her heart beating faster. And with her hand on his chest, she could faintly feel his too. Good lord, she fell hard for this man. It wasn't just some petty high school crush for her anymore. The rest of HEAVENS were really supportive of them too. It made her happy.
When she first came, Hikari was scared. She knew Eiichi would be here, but she didn't know how he'll react when he sees her again after so long. The anxiety became worse when he acted like he doesn't even remember her. She remembered how much that tore her heart and until now, she doesn't know how to feel about it.
He patiently observed her. Being honest with himself, he's more comfortable around her than his own brother. She was strong-willed, caring, and nice to just about everybody she meets. Well, not that Eiji isn't, but there was something about her that just made her latch on him.
He looked down at the girl... Well, perhaps he should say 'woman' now, seeing as how they're both in their twenties. He inwardly laughed to himself as her remembered their height difference again. Nah. I'm sticking with 'girl'.
He stopped trying to humor himself when he noticed how sad she looked. He could hardly see without his glasses, and to make it worse, the lights were off, but he was sure he saw her frowning.
His hand went from her back to her face. He was right, she's crying again. It was starting to bother him. She had been crying a lot lately. She wasn't like this back at school... Was she? He had to admit that he wasn't sure how her life outside of school went. He knew about the orphanage, but she never once invited him over. Perhaps she didn't want him to worry? Well, he is now.
He caressed her cheek gently and placed his lips on her forehead. He felt her struggling to hold it back. He kissed both cheeks and went to her ear. "Don't hide from me." He said sternly.
"Hide...?"
"You're clearly having trouble saying something."
Her mouth opened slightly when he said that and he took his chance to kiss her again. She melted into it and went limp. He didn't want to let go. Not even when his lungs started burning. He kept them both like that.
When she reached her limit, she forcefully pulled away and started coughing and panting. He was panting too. Both of their hearts were going at alarming rates. They both had their backs on the bed.
When Hikari finished calming herself down, she listened to Eiichi breathing. He had calmed down too. Taking a deep breath, she gathered her courage and sat up.
Eiichi felt the weight beside him shifting and grunted when he felt something pressing down just below his stomach. He looked down and found her nesting herself on top of him and apparently trying to... cuddle him? What the heck is she trying to do? It's around 3.30 am. Stop making me want to fu- He snapped himself away from those thoughts before the word could form in his head. He doesn't need that right now, and sure as heck he doesn't want her to pull away again.
His mental morals frowned when his hand began moving on its own. He traced down her back to her sides. Eventually, he got hold of her thigh and just grazed over there for a bit. She curled up on him more. He took a much bolder action and his hand went in through the side of her pants. When he made contact with her skin, she shivered and blushed. "E-Eiichi..."
Her voice snapped him back to reality. He looked down at her, confused at first, but then flushed red and immediately removed his hand. "S-sorry... I didn't... That wasn't..." Oh gosh, how he hated screwing up. Just because he couldn't control himself this one time. "I... Really didn't mean to..."
Her response was the opposite of his expectations, but not exactly hard to imagine. "It's... It's fine... You stopped when I asked you to, so it's okay." It was Hikari afterall.
You're making me feel worse by being so nice about it! Can't you just scold me for once?! "I feel like I just... attacked you... Or something..." He said hesitantly.
She snuggled into his neck, trying to make him feel better. When she did less than succeed, she decided to just kick start another topic. "Regarding to what you said, about hiding... Eiichi, why do you like me?" She's not good at choosing one though.
He scoffed. "We've been dating for years and you're still using the word 'like'?" Very not good.
He chuckled, but she could almost hear hate in his voice. "My feelings for you go way beyond 'like'. I love you with all my heart and there's not a soul in the world that can take your place. Every single part of me wants to keep all of you for myself. I don't want you to look at anyone else, nor do I want others to look at you."
She frowned. "Eiichi..." Please calm down.
"I struggled everyday to make myself perfect for you. But you still turn away. Every. Single. Time."
Eiichi...
"I know I'm not the best person in the world, but at the very least, I try."
Please stop...
"If I'm not good enough for you then just say so,"
This is just like last time...
"And stop making me suffer."
Her heart sank. She forgot about how much jealousy could affect him. She stayed silent, thinking about what to do or say. She can't move away now, not with his arms around her. Her mouth opened for a bit, but when no words came out, she closed it again. It repeated to do so for a few times. Eventually, she ended up just keeping it shut.
Good heavens, she just wants to apologize. Why was it so hard?! She let a small sigh escape and hid her face in his neck. She felt angry, but she wasn't sure about who it was directed at. She deserved that scolding, but she can't help but blame his uncontrolled jealousy too. That alone however, wasn't enough to make her snap.
Then she felt one of his hands moving. It went from her spine to the back of her head, stroking it. Is he not mad anymore? She purred and let herself relax. "Eiichi, I-"
"I'm sorry." He muttered.
"Eii-"
"It was stupid-"
"You-"
"-immature, selfish-"
"Hey-"
"-rude, stupid-"
"I-"
"-unbelievably uncontrolled-"
"It's not-"
"-stupid, stupid and STUPID-"
"Eiichi!"
He clamped up his mouth. She was surprised. He's the one obeying her right now. This rarely ever happened.
"I'm sorry." He repeated, ripping her off the train of thought.
She nodded. "Forgiven... I'm sorry too."
He smiled. "Forgiven."
