Perfect

"WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BAKEY!"

That was the first thing Eiichi heard that morning. It was followed by a slapping sound and a muffled voice. Annoyed, he groaned and rubbed his eyes before opening them. "What." He was too sleepy and too iritated to put the question mark at the end.

"Breakfast!" Nagi exclaimed with a smile.

He blinked. "What?"

"We have breakfast for you." Van said from behind the younger boy. He held up a tray with eggs and bacon on it, forming a smiley face.

He blinked again. "Why?"

"Don't you know what today is?" Nagi asked, with an eyebrow raised.

"Friday, September 1st. Why? What's so special about today?" Eiichi asked, reaching for his glasses. Looking at his calendar, nothing was marked on it.

"I can't believe you. Everyone remembers what this day is except for you." Van said, facepalming dramatically. "Including Ittoki Otoya."

"Again, what?"

"Forget it." Nagi said, rolling his eyes. "Just come outside when you finish breakfast. Hikari's waiting."

"Waiting for what?"

"YOU! Ugh... It's hard to talk to you when you're sleepy." The pink haired boy grunted.

"Well I wasn't the one who asked to be woken up at 5 am." Eiichi sighed. "Fine, I'll be right out."

"Great!" Van exclaimed, picking Nagi up, who protested. "We'll see you later in the afternoon!"

"If you need me in the afternoon, why did you wake me up now?" He didn't get his answer.

Walking out of his room, fresh from the bathroom, he looked around. Nothing big seemed to be happening so he wondered why he was up this early. Tray in hand, he decided to go to the kitchen and clean it before doing anything else.

Once he did so, he wandered off to some other part of the building. Upon entering the living room, he found Kira reading a book and Hikari asleep on his lap with a blanket covering her body. The raven haired male looked up at the brunette and nodded in greeting. "She stayed up for most of the night." He explained.

Eiichi nodded, stepping closer and brushing a few strands of hair away from her face. "Why though?"

"You really don't remember what today is. Just as she predicted." Kira deadpanned. "You'll get it later. You have a morning job." He took Hikari's phone and showed it to his leader, who looked at it with an eyebrow raised.

"Okay, why didn't anybody tell me this yesterday?" He placed the phone down with a sigh. "Alright, guess I'm leaving then. See you, Kira."

"Stay safe."

"I'm always saf-"

"And remember the speed limit."

"... No promises."

The black haired boy sighed as the door closed. He went back to his book while silently patting Hikari's head.

~~~~~
"Left a bit. Left a bit. Down a bit- Stop! Argh... Just up a bit. THERE! Yeah! That's it!" Nagi directed Yamato as the older male position a few banners up on the wall.
"Eiichi's gonna love this!" Van exclaimed, covering the window with coloured paper.
"Not to mention, Hikari has that special gift for him." Eiji said, putting a tray in the oven.
"Nothing could beat that ring though." Yamato stated, stretching his muscles.
"It's a pure sign of his love." Shion said with a smile. He was currently helping Kira make dinner.
"Oh, I can think of one thing." Nagi said with a smirk. Kira's ears twitched. He felt a bit of concern at where he felt the conversation might be going.
Yamato raised an eyebrow. "Well go on then. Spill it."
The pink haired boy's smirk grew larger. "Her vi-" Before being able to even start the word, large hands were clamped on his mouth and all that came out were muffled voices. "Mf? Hmpff! Kwifa! Kwifa wef mew gwoh!"
"You're on a time-out." Kira said as he dragged the younger boy to the couch.
"Whaf?!" Nagi was forced to sit, with Shion anchoring him down. "Shion! Let me go."
"Until Eiichi is back, Kira is in charge." The snow haired boy replied, hugging Nagi tighter. Pouting, the younger boy sat still.
"Okay, but seriously," Van said, getting their attentions again. "What do you think her present's gonna be?"
"What does he like?" Yamato asked.
"Car racing." Eiji replied. "And..."
"Their secret spot." Kira stated.
"Oh! I remember her saying something about that!" Nagi exclaimed. "Van, you too, right?"
"Yeah." The eldest male nodded as he grabbed for some tape. "Some kind of secret flower garden or whatever."
"... It's no big secret. There's a part of our school's yard that's closed off by some trees." Kira said. "The other kids said that it's haunted because it looks quite dark, but it's actually quite a serene place."
"Kira has been there before?" The answer Eiji got was a nod.
"I thought it was just the two of them." Van said.
"It was. But sometimes they'd invite me too."
"Hey, are you guys just gonna talk or are you gonna help with blowing these things up?" Yamato heaved as he blew up his fifth balloon.
"Coming." Eiji picked up a balloon and began helping him.
~~~~~

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEADER!" Confetti pops, balloons bouncing, the delicious smell of food and a stunning cake.

Eiichi could only stare at the decorations in front of him. The words "We love you, leader!" were written on a huge banner and it was hung on the stairs. Lots of 'thank you's were written on the walls with diferent colours and hand writings, a few had drawings of him too. There were lots of presents kept next to the piano, in which case he assumed they weren't just from HEAVENS.

Right, we had just released our birthday dates as of two months ago. So those would be from the fans.

That would also explain the amount of drawings of him around the room. Still, to have set up this much in fifteen hours with only seven people? His friends are amazing.

"I'm... Thanks." That was all the brunette could manage to say.

Nagi smirked. "What? Cat got your tounge?"

"You completely forgot your own birthday." Van teased. "Like, Nagi even hinted the date and all, but you didn't even notice."

"If you're that tired, then rely on us a little." Yamato said with a huff. "Well, that aside, you have been dealing with more than just work."

"You mean the thing with Sora's parents?" Shion asked.

"Yeah, that."

"Speaking of which, where is Hikari?" Eiichi asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Ah, about that..." Eiji sighed. "Sora-san got called away at the last minute. The person on the other side of the phone must've been desprate because they were yelling at her to hurry and all that."

"She also took her present with her since she wants to give it to you in person." Nagi continued with a hum.

"All you can do is wait." Kira said, placing a hand on the brunette's shoulder.

He nodded in reply, though he had to admit he was upset about it. The rest of them didn't let him think any more of it and made him enjoy the party. Soon it was over and the clock struck 10 pm, but there was still no sign of their manager.

~~~~~
Taking deep breaths, the raven haired girl ran through the hallway. The clock read 11 pm, so there was still a bit of hope left. She stopped in front of Eiichi's door and took a minute to catch her breath. Then she knocked.
No one replied.
She tried again, but it led to the same result. Her hand rested on the door knob and she was surprised to find the door unlocked. She pushed it open and found his back facing the door, breathing steadily. Assuming he's asleep, she hung her head and kissed his cheek, muttering an apology before proceeding to leave.
Before she could though, his hand grabbed onto hers and pulled her back on the bed. Both of his arms firmly around her waist, he was now in a sitting position with her on his lap. She was caught by surprise by the sudden move, but managed to surpress her scream into a squeak.
He kissed the back of her ear before mumbling, "Why were you late?"
A blush formed on her cheek, but her expression is still one of guilt. "I'm sorry. I was doing my best, but there were a lot of delays in the meeting."
"Is that so?" Even though he asked, he didn't really care. His nose nuzzled into her hair and he took in the faint scent of apples.
She hummed in response and relaxed against his body. "Happy birthday, Eii. I got your present in my bag-"
"That can wait." He gently pushed her off and stood up, pulling her out and leading her to the garden.
"Eiichi, what are we..?" As they got closer to the patio, she could see more and more leaves turning into different colours.
He placed his phone on the table and a song began to play. It was in English, but she understood most words so it was fine.
Turning back to her, he held out his hand. "I didn't get to hold you at all today. So then, shall we?"
"It's... Almost midnight though?"
"We have over forty minutes." He took her right hand and placed her left on his shoulder. "This will only take five."
Holding her waist firmly, he led them to dance among the few flowers in bloom. Listening to the song, she couldn't think of just how perfect it fitted in to their situation. It quickly ranked up to one of her favorite songs.
They really were kids when they started liking each other. They didn't know anything about it and just went with the flow.
A thick blush formed on her cheeks when the second part began playing, making the elder male chuckle. He lipsynced to a few of the lyrics right before the reff started again, making her blush more prominent, but her eyes never left his.
By the time the song was over, they had stopped dancing and were just holding onto each other. He smiled. "See? Only five minutes."
She stiffened a giggle. "Yeah well, we better head inside if we don't want to get caught."
"It's almost midnight and we're behind the building." He brought his face closer to hers. "Who would be able to see us?"
Her blush never got the chance to disappear as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Don't jinx it."
Neither could've cared less. It was dark and silent, but not empty. The wind brushed past their litte warm space in the yard, bringing one of the last days of summer to an end.
So here's the part where we actually get to Eiichi's birthday :')  I'm... 6 months late to it, but hey, it's pretty fluffy, like I promised from last chapter :D
