He Remembers
Hikari blinked. "Oh... Yeah I didn't think I'll be going anywhere today so I put on some plain ones."
"Did you bring any work clothes?" He asked as he dragged her to her room.
"Yeap. It should be on the right side of the closet." She replied. "Can you help me pick them out? I uh... Can't see which one would be appropriate for this occassion."
"Mhm." He said as he opened the door to her room. "You never lock, do you?"
"I don't see the point. This place has alot of security." She said.
"And a lot of male staff." He retorted. "You wouldn't want anyone barging into your room at night, would you?"
"Hmm... Guess not. I'll try to remember that next time." She replied, nodding.
"Sure you will." He teased, opening the closet and picking out a few clothes.
In the end, she wore a light blue striped turtle neck and a white skirt that reaches just below her knees. She quickly did a half braid on the left side of her head and got her bag ready. She walked out of the bathroom and Eiichi was sitting patiently on her bed.
"Are all your clothes blue and white?" He asked.
"I guess so? A lot of my friends said those colours suit me best. And I'm not sure how, but they're my favorite colors." She explained. "Blue is the best background for fluffy white clouds, or so they say..."
Eiichi smiled as he stood up. "Yeah, this isn't the first time you told me."
Hikari tensed and looked up at him. "You... remember me?"
He chuckled. "Of course." He held out a hand and smiled gently as he held her.
She sighed and hugged back. "... I hate you..."
He chuckled. "Oh, do you now?"
Her face was burried into his chest. "...No..."
"As I thought." He lifted her up and sat her on the bed, still not letting go.
Without wasting a moment, he pinned her down. He kept his smile as his face got closer to hers, stopping only when their lips were merely an inch appart. She could feel his breath and her cheeks heated up as she swallowed. This reaction made him grunt and he gave her a quick peck on her lips before letting her go.
She sat up, face still with a tint of red. "... Will you ever stop teasing me?"
"You like it though." He said, smirking.
"That's... Yeah..." She replied, growing redder. "So... Can you tell me why you acted like you don't remember me?"
"Let's get in the car first." He said, pulling her up. "It'll be about an hour drive to get to the studio from here. There'll be plenty of time for an explaination."
"Alright." After putting on her coat, she followed him out the door and soon, they hit the road.
After a bit of silence, Eiichi was first to open his mouth. "So about the whole act... Long story short, the old man remembers you and he doesn't want me to have anything to do with you. I gotta act like I forgot around everyone if I didn't want you... escorted." He leaned back on his seat. "The only one that knows is Kira. As you heard earlier, he's your classmate."
Hikari tensed up. "You knew I was there?"
"You were standing on the left side of the door. If you were to come from the dining room to the lounge room you would've been on the right." He replied.
"O-oh... Okay." She nodded. "And I think I remember Kira now... He's... Always been that quiet, huh? I mean, I remember he was at the top of our singing class... Those two sentences sound like they contradict each other, don't they?"
"Yes, and yes." He replied with a chuckle.
"Wait so... If you had to act like that the whole time then..." A blush began to emerge. "Why did you do what you did back at my room?"
"You know, when you put it that way, it's giving me a few thoughts." He said smirking.
Her blush grew more visible. "You know I don't mean it like that! Stop changing the topic!"
He nodded but his smirk never faded. "Well there were camera's everywhere aside from the bedrooms and restrooms. And the car's safe as well." He stated. "The wall thing between here and the driver's seat is soundproof so we can talk freely without the driver hearing too."
"Soundproof?" She asked. "So that's why you guys could blast music in here and no one outside could hear."
"Hm?"
"Haruka told me about her being kidnapped by all 18 of you."
"Oh that. Yeah. That was fun."
"It's like a harem between all 18 of you and her."
"Oi, that's going a bit too far."
"I would've add Ringo-san and Ryuya-san if I hadn't known better."
"Way too far."
"Don't make me add Shining and-"
He pulled her to his lap and covered her mouth. "That's enough imagination for one day. Wow, sometimes, you're actually worse than me."
She shrugged. "I'm just saying, all of you seem to be really, and I mean really, fond of her."
"That's because the music she makes are top notch."
"Yeah, that's what you all say." she rolled her eyes. "I think by far, only Cecil and Van confessed to her. She rejected both of them, but still. I caught Otoya once when he just almost blurted out how he likes Haruka but then corrected himself finishing the sentence with the word music."
"..."
"I think that's basically all of STARISH and QN. Maybe HEAVENS too, I don't know. But it's like, 'I love you...r music.' It's almost... sad, I guess."
"I'm pretty sure the only one in HEAVENS that likes her is Van." Eiichi stated. "I mean the rest of us love her, sure, but I wouldn't say we're in love with her."
"Oh? How do you figure?"
"Shion and Yamato never had any actual conversations with her yet. Even if they have, it's bound to be about work instead of casual talk. Nagi is dating his candy jar, Kira seems to respect her specifically as a co-worker and Eiji is just that much of an angel to everyone." He explained. "And I'm with you so that's that."
"Funny story, the night before we came here, all of STARISH told me a ton of things about all of you guys. And all of them also told me to watch out for you the most because apparently they think you're the predator and I'm prey. I'm not sure why, but Otoya was laughing when everyone warned me."
"... So much for being a friend, Otoya."
"What?"
"Nothing. Continue on."
"Okay. So Tokiya is the absolute most strict about it. I guess you left him a bad impression or something?"
"... Uh... Maybe..."
"Mhm. And then Ren accussed you of being a flirt, which is weird because he's a flirt too. Masato told me that the most trustworthy between all of you are either Kira or Eiji. Syo 'vowed' to protect me if any of you guys tried to hurt me. Cecil said and I quote, 'If anything happens, be sure to call any one of us immediately'. I mean, I don't get it, you're all nice to me since day one. Well, day one is only yesterday, but still."
"... Uh..."
"I think Natsu-kun was the only one who was supportive about this whole trip. He even told me that he expected that I'll be grinning my whole way home. And he's excited to hear stories about what I did while I'm with HEAVENS."
"... I'll be sure to thank Shinomiya Natsuki for not thinking like we're the devil's spawn..."
"When everyone's done, Otoya told me not to worry about it and that you're actually a nice person, in some ways more than others. He told me that you just come off as intense and intimidating most of the time."
"...Okay."
"Now that I think about it, he's kinda right. Mostly about the intense and intimidating thing. You're also pretty arrogant."
"Okay."
"And you're also kinda scary and impulsive now. Not to mention a bit of a hot-head."
"Okay."
"But I think that's actually kind of cute. You acting like a toughnut when I know you're a complete softie inside."
"Okay."
"You've stopped listening to me, haven't you?"
"Okay."
"Yeah, you did."
"Okay."
"Did I just break you?"
"Okay."
"... Stop."
"Okay."
"Eiichi, stop."
"Okay."
"Eii. I'm warning you."
"Okay."
"OTORI EIICHI."
