Flowers and Photos

"Shion's gonna be a sheep."

"Yamato can be a werewolf."

"Van said he's gonna be frankie."

"Eiji, I'll let you pick your own costume."

"Kira! You'll be a mummy-bunny obviously!"

"And Eiichi's a devil."

"Ah, Hikari. You can be an angel to match with Eiichi."

Nagi was enjoying his time, looking through his trunk of costumes. He took his time in picking one for everyone, but he spared Eiji because Halloween wasn't too far from his birthday. Van had picked out his own outfit long before Nagi got his stash out, so unfortunately, he had to postpone his own ideas for him.

Hikari shifted in her seat. "Do I really have to?"

"Everyone else is doing it." The younger boy replied. "Even Yamato."

She turned to face the taller male, who was already putting on the head of the costume. "Seriously?"

"If it stops him from bothering me all day, then sure." He picked up the suit and went out to his own room to put it on.

She sighed as she turned back to the pink haired boy. "Okay then, what are you gonna be?"

"The cosmically cute idol must wear the most cosmically cute of all things." He boasted proudly as he pulled out his own outfit. "I'm an elf!"

~~~~~
"These should do nicely."
"You're giving him flowers? He already has the whole backyard."
"Well, why not? Besides, these are artificial, so they won't wilt and he can keep them for as long as he wants."
This was the couple's conversation in the flower shop. The two are currently looking for presents for Eiji's birthday, but after passing by so many shops, they ended up here, which appears to be inconvinient.
Hikari turned to the brunette. "What about you? What are you getting him?"
"Mm, I have my own thing." He replied. "Come on, let's pay for them and get back home."
"You aren't going to tell me what it is?"
"I haven't finished it yet. You'll see later on."
~~~~~

By the time the two came back, Kira and Van had finished preparing the food and Yamato, Nagi and Shion had wrapped up their presents.

"Eh? Flowers? Seriously?"

"Shut up, Nagi. I already got that comment from Eiichi."

"It's not like I'm wrong."

"Zip it, Otori. That's your second time. Three strikes and you're out."

"We're using baseball references now, are we?"

"Stay out of this, Van. Or I'll strike you out too."

"Wow, future wife getting fiesty to defend her present for future brother-in-law."

"It is a refreshing sight."

"Yamato! Shion! Don't encourage this!"

While the chaos proceeds, Kira had set up the table and is now headed for the shorter girl. He looked down on the flowers and held his hand up to touch a few petals. "Pretty... Eiji will like them."

Her face that, just a few seconds ago, had an annoyed expression, turned to him and beamed. "Right? I've been searching up flowers for a week now and this is the combo I went with."

"So you didn't pick them out based on how good they look?" Nagi asked, tilting his head cutely in confusion.

"No. The purple ones are cosmos and the yellow ones are marigold. They're both the October birth flowers. And the white ones are roses. With that color, they are a symbol of purity and peace. Really fitting for Eiji, don't you think?" She explained with a smile.

"Oh, now we have a second flowerpedia." Yamato threw in the comment to taunt the girl, who just rolled her eyes at him.

"Okay, since most of us are done, just finish up the details and I'll join in soon." Eiichi said as he headed for his room.

"He hasn't finished his present yet?" Van asked in a shocked manner.

"Well, he has been busy with other things." Hikari said, glaring at the youngest boy in the room.

"I told you, it was an accident!" The pink haired boy held his hands up in defense.

"Well then maybe you shouldn't have stolen it in the first place." She scolded. "You're lucky his spare one was still intact, but it's a struggle to look through a cracked lens."

"Hey, come on! Van was the one who stepped on it!" The younger boy continued to whine.

"To be fair, I wouldn't have stepped on them if you hadn't dropped them." Van stated.

"And you wouldn't have dropped them if you didn't stole them." Yamato finished. Shion nodded at this, making Nagi groan.

They stopped there and once evening came, Eiji arrived and the party started.

~~~~~
"A photo album?" The younger brother asked as he accepted the gift.
"Wow, I never took Eiichi for the sentimental type." Van snickered.
"Still, I think it's wonderful." Eiji said, smiling brightly. "Thank you, Nii-san."
"Of course." Eiichi replied, patting his brother's head.
The night proceeded with them looking through the album and even adding several pictures in. As the clock ticked later into the night, one by one they began to fled for their own rooms, wishing the others good night. By the time midnight strikes, the two brothers were the only ones left and they both fell asleep on the couch.
