Eden

Floyd took a long look at Synth as he injected him with a sedative and noticed the glow in his body growing weaker.

“He's dying," he confirmed to the others. “We need that passkey. We don't have long."

As Willow left the room, unconsciously leaving behind a trail of icy footprints, Viva noticed something shiny tucked in Synth's dimming hair. She reached in and pulled out the glass heart. No clue as to where it came from or what it was for, she thought it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

Elsewhere, John Dory was gently bouncing Hope up and down in his arms, in yet another attempt to get her to stop crying, as he strolled through the corridors.

“Come on, Hope..." he groaned. “I love you, baby, but please stop crying..."

“May I recommend a sample of classical music scientifically proven to help soothe infants?" F.I.O.N.A. suggested through a speaker.

“Hope is my baby, I should be able to– ACK!" John Dory was cut off by a high-pitched scream and pressed his free hand against his temple. Then, he heard a piano playing through the speakers and blinked in surprise as Hope's cries turned into giggles.

“Problem solved," F.I.O.N.A. confirmed.

“Great, even a computer's a better parent than me," John Dory grumbled. Suddenly, he felt his foot slip briefly and stopped to find the frozen trail. John Dory looked up and noticed Willow.

“Will, what's up?" he asked in concern.

“I'm fine," she said. “Just need to prepare for Eden."

“Maybe you should take a break?" John Dory suggested. “You're turning the floor into an Olympic skating rink."

“I said I'm fine, Da– Ugh! John!" Willow groaned in frustration before slamming a door to shut everyone else out. Hope didn't cry, she just blinked in surprise.

John Dory had understood Willow for long enough that he knew not to intrude on her personal space. However, he couldn't help but press his ear against the door in an attempt to maybe hear what was bothering her.

I never thought

That I would have blood on my hands

But then there came that night

I got up to fight

For reasons I still don't understand

But what I know for sure

Is that somehow my life improved

But who's to say that those changed

Me for the better won't somehow end up doomed?

So, I...

I'll be your keeper

Do whatever it takes

I'll make the mistakes

I'll keep you safe

And keep you breathing...

Viva was going through a similar internal struggle. She held the glass heart close to her chest as she recalled Synth's words before the attack.

“I was nervous, too, when I first moved here. I didn't really know anyone. But then, I met Willow and Poppy and Flower and Dubstep. They helped me feel less lonely. And you're not alone, Vivita. You got me and all of our friends and family."

Maybe Plasma was right, she thought. Things were a lot more dangerous now. Which was why she had to fight tougher, smarter, and harder. Whatever she had to do to save Synth, tell him how she felt, and start a life with him in Pop Village, she would do it.

When I saw your face

You made me feel like a stranger in a brand new place

And it felt so good

To be understood

But there's so much I wish that I could say

So, I...

I'll be your armor

Do whatever it takes

I'll make the mistakes

I'll spend my life

Being your partner

Willow: And I don't know what we might face

But I know I can't replace you

So I'll do anything to save you!

Viva: And I will try to make your dreams come true!

Both: Whatever we go through

I know I...

Willow: I'll be your keeper

Viva: I'll be your armor

Both: Whatever it takes...

Willow: I'll make the mistakes!

Viva: I'll make the mistakes...

Both: Whatever it takes

“Entering Eden's atmosphere now," F.I.O.N.A. announced, causing the Trolls to rush into the cockpit. As John Dory buckled Hope into her car seat, Willow flew up and looked out the viewport to find a blue and green planet dead ahead.

“There's something very familiar about this place..." Willow said to herself as the ship flew over an ocean, then a city, and finally a suburban neighborhood where the people looked like animals (kind of like that bunny and fox movie).

“Well, at least it's got water," Trollex pointed out. “I need to stay moist."

“Ew, moist," John Dory cringed as he landed the ship. Then, he unbuckled Hope out of her seat, and dropped her in a baby carrier strapped to his chest.

The inhabitants of Eden looked down in surprise as the Trolls walked out of the ship.

“Helllllloooooo!" John Dory announced very slowly as he made funny gestures. “Me, John Dory! Me and me friends! Fly! Fly! In great metal bird! Through black nothing! Swoosh! Lightspeed! And here, we arrive! We offer only peace and seek only guidance!"

“Is he dancing about flying in a spaceship?" a flamingo woman asked.

John Dory's face fell in embarrassment. “Yeah, we just... Yeah. I thought... Sorry!"

Willow groaned as everyone began walking away. “Great. Now, you offended them."

“Well, she seemed to like it," Viva said optimistically, pointing to a smiling little bunny girl wearing a pink and yellow dress.

“You funnies," she giggled. Despite her being three times his size, Floyd was the first to approach her.

“Oh, yeah? You liked my brother's silliness?" he asked sweetly. She nodded. “Hey, do you think you can help us? We're just trying to save our friend."

On a much sleeker ship, Starlene kept looking back at the critter sitting on George's lap.

“Filthy little cretin," she groaned in disgust. “Why did you bring that on board?"

“I will train it in the ways of the House of Glitterbourne," George declared, then noticed her licking herself. “I will train her not to do that."

“What would all of my colleagues think?" Starlene muttered. “You don't even know what it eats. Kill it, now!"

“You're not the boss of me!" George argued. Starlene just raised a finger at him as Eden appeared overhead.

“Plasma's here, and so is the herring," she realized. “To save ourselves, we have to bring it to the Idealist before his own people do."
