HHHHhhhhh I get Colored Pencils Easter!!! I really want to COLOR (but not ruin things lol) does anyone have any helpful tips with them?

Me: Hey mom look at these cool colored pencils!
Mom: Cool.
Me: Can I pwwwease get them :3
Mom: Not till Easter.
Me: o-o             What if I pay for half of them? (I only had five dollars with me, taken from my jar for art stuffs holding about eighty something dollars lol)
Mom: Easter.
Me: But!
Mom: Eee-ster.
Me: Fine, let's go find grandma.
