Dan woke up in an empty bed. He looked over and saw that Phil's phone was still on the bedside table, at least he hadn't just left him. Dan pulled on a jumper and went downstairs. Phil had Jeremy Kyle or something on the TV but he wasn't watching it.

"Dan, morning," Phil greeted.

"Morning, how long have you been awake?"

Phil shrugged, "about two hours."

Dan nodded, heading to the sofa, "why didn't you wake me up?"

Phil smirked when he saw Dan was walking with a limp, "I thought I'd let you sleep in,"

"What are you smiling at?"

"Nothing," Phil answered quickly.

"Tell me!" Dan insisted, laughing now.

Phil laughed, "you're limping," he nodded in Dan's direction.

Dan's smile dropped in an instant and he went bright red, "I-I-ye-um-" Phil smiled wider at Dan's embarrassment.

"You're so cute,"

This made Dan blush harder. He'd never been the best at accepting compliments and most of the time he just stayed quiet or mumbled a quiet 'thanks'.

"I'm dropping out of school," Dan said suddenly.

"W-what?"

"I hate it. I'm dropping out," Dan said bluntly.

"Are you sure that's the best choice?" Phil would respect and support Dan no matter what he did but he needed to make sure it was the right choice.

"Yeah, I'm failing as it is and I really dislike the classes, I don't wanna do it. I made the wrong choice," Dan admitted.

Phil nodded getting up to hug Dan, "do what ever you want, okay? If you think it's the best thing to do, do it," he kissed Dan's forehead before walking into the kitchen, "do you want coffee?"

Dan laughed and shouted back "yeah!"
