Alex had sat at the other end of the sofa and just watched Jeremy Kyle or whatever the fuck was on the TV.

He noticed that Dan and Phil were extremely touchy. Not just 'I wanna hold your hand' touchy but they were just distractedly touching each other and they looked at each other when the other wasn't looking with such passion, it was beautiful.

Dan was trailing his fingers up and down Phil's arm and Phil's other hand was resting just above Dan's knee. They were both obviously in love. Alex almost felt bad for Phil. He didn't, just almost. Phil had gone through so much shot with Dan. He got cheated on, the broke up, they were both depressed for a year whilst they watched the other look happy, Dan apologised twice and that got them here.

Alex had been through cheating. His boyfriend, Gregory, had cheated on him with a girl which just made it worse. Apparently, Greg didn't actually think he was gay or even bi. Just straight. So instead of breaking up with him, he decided to go behind his back.

Being cheated on was possible the worst thing you can experience on a regular day to day basis. I didn't just hurt. You felt unneeded and unwanted. Like an unskippable thirty second advert. A nuisance.

Alex had since recovered but Dan was the first time he'd been on a date since. I was kind of heartbreaking to see him so happy after everything that'd happened,

but love works in mysterious ways.
