Trinkets

Present are usually given to the person you have strong bonds with when it's a special occasion. Anniversary, birthday, Valentine, Christmas, and much more. For Naruto since he was small he never had the luxury of a special someone. Being an ANBU always had him running around towards very dangerous missions. His dream so close now that he was stronger from back in the day when he was smaller. The Hokage tittle will be given to him, he knows it.

Naruto never had the opportunity to give a present to someone, especially since he has always been alone. Even if he did have his team mates, Sakura and Sasuke, during festive times they would stay with their families and celebrate. Sakura would eat with her mother and father, Sasuke would spend his time with a family gathering in the Uchiha compound. Kakashi-sensei was probably out with old friends. Hinata was with her own family and so forth. December drew near, the village hidden in the leaves were covered by a thin layer of snow. He strolled out of his apartment and went to the market to buy more ramen.

Sasuke walked along side his brother as they picked out a Christmas present for their mother and father. Getting distracted Sasuke looked to his side when his eye caught a glimpse of a familiar golden blonde haired boy. Naruto? Sasuke thought.

"I'll be right back Ni-San." Sasuke called back to his older brother. Noticing the call Itachi saw Sasuke walk towards the blonde boy he had met some time ago in a mission, he gave a knowing smirk at Sasuke as he blessed them quietly in his mind.

"Oi, Usuratonkachi!" Sasuke shouted at the blonde.

Naruto being in his own little world was thinking what to do in hi apartment this Christmas. He thought about maybe training like always, but that was getting boring. Maybe he could go visit his friend? No he though otherwise, he wouldn't want to disturb them when they're having a good time. Should he summon one of his toads? No, they're probably doing something themselves as well. A hand landed on his shoulder as he tensed, looking back he relaxed when he saw the familiar dark eyes he had grew fond of. His rival and team mate, Sasuke Uchiha.

"Oh hey there Sasuke!" Naruto grinned with as he greeting his team mate.

Team mates, strange, he has never actually called them friends before now that he thinks about it. He always called them team mates, did he even consider them as friends? They didn't treat him like other teams treat themselves, so I guess they aren't friends. And Naruto sure didn't consider Sasuke his friend, since the finish of the chunin exams he had a someone forbidden feeling inside of him everytime he saw Sasuke. But saying that aloud would jeopardize their connection, so he kept it to himself like every other feelings he had.

"What's going on?" Naruto said as he saw his teammate.

"I'm picking out a present for my parent with Ni-San." Sasuke said nonchalantly, but inside he was freaking out. Every since ehe laid his eyes on the blonde beauty he had been crushing badly. "What about you?"

"Nothing much, just stocking up on food." Naruto said as he held up two bags of instant ramen noodles.

"How many time do I have to tell you to not eat so much of that junk?" Sasuke sighed in disappointment. "Isn't Iruka making you food for Christmas this year? Maybe you should consider getting ingredients for actual food."

"Iruka-sensei?" Naruto raised a brow in confusion.

"Yeah, don't you spend Christmas with him?" Sasuke assumed as he tilted his head also lost at Naruto's confusion.

"No, I always spend Christmas alone, I don't have anyone. So I usually spend it training." Naruto stated as if it was obvious. "I have to go Sasuke, these noodles aren't going to cook themselves!"

Naruto left Sasuke speechless on the street as he saw hood best friend run with a smile on his face. Alone? Ever year?  Tears had accumulated in his eyes. He felt hurt and guilty at what he had just heard, all this time he had thought that he spent time with Iruka-sensei because they were really close, like father and son. But that wasn't the case, he was always alone, how he kept such a darling smile on his face was a mystery to him.

"Otouto?" Itachi spoke as he walked towards his little brother. "What's wrong?"

"I need to talk to father and mother." Sasuke said as his eyes took interest at the ground, hiding his tears as much as he could. Leaving in a flash he had appears in front of his compound and speed walked towards his family's main branch house.

Her burst through the door and called for his mother and father. "We're in the kitchen!" His mother's feminine voice spoke from their location.

Speed walking he entered the room, his father leaned against the sink while his mother fanned her self, a blush on her cheeks. He knew he didn't want to ask what had happened, he didn't need to know anything about his parents love actions unless he wanted to throw up the contents in his stomach.

"I ask for a request." He spoke politely.

"And that would be?" His father spoke, curiosity in his eyes as he lifted an eyebrow.

"To spend Christmas with Naruto." Sasuke said, trying to supress an oncoming blush.

"Finally making a move?" His father said with the all known famous uchiha smirk.

"I-I'll do not know what you m-mean." Sasuke said trying to cover up his tomato colored cheeks.

"I'm your father Sasuke, I know when a boy falls in love." He chuckled, he stepped forth and placed both of his hands on his sons shoulders. He had finally grown into a true man, and now he needed to be beside his one true love. "I accept the request."

"Thank you father." Sasuke said as he smile a bright smile at both his parents and left to run towards his sweet heart's apartment.

Heading towards the said apartment, he thought of what to say to Naruto. Should he risk finally say how he feels? No, what if he ruins their current friendship? He'll figure it out once he gets there. Slowing to a walk he walking up the stairs and arrived at Naruto's door. Raising his hand to knock a sudden thought came to mind.

He'll be alone.

With Naruto.

In Naruto's apartment.

Alone...

... Alone!

Realization came through his mind as his entire face turned crimson at his dirty thoughts. Not to mention the many dirty dreams he's had of him in his own room or even in Naruto's apartment.

"Sasuke?" Naruto's voice sounded surprise as he stood now in the opened door.

Naruto had felt someone outside of his door, thinking it to be Konohamaru and his little gang like usual he had opened the door. But it wasn't the honorable grandson of the third Hokage. It was the beautiful sharingan holder, Sasuke Uchiha. He looked at the shocked eyes of Sasuke as his expression turned to his usual relaxed and cool personality.

"Hey Naruto." Sasuke said, shocking the poor blonde boy even more, Sasuke never said Naruto's name like that before.

He would glare first or say it in a sassy way. Or he would say usurantokachi most of the time. All in all, the way Sasuke said his name this time sounded as if he wanted something in return, or if he hadn't been born with an oblivious state of mind towards the emotions love he would had seen that is sounded slightly seductive yet a little nervous as well.

"May I come in?" Naruto snapped out of his thoughts when Sasuke spoke.

Not saying a word Naruto just nodded and stepped to the side to let the youngest uchiha pass through his door and enter his apartment. He had never let anyone in, not Sasuke not Sakura, hell, not even Kakashi-sensei stepped foot in his apartment, only Iruka-sensei did so when he would visit and restock the fridge once more for lack of an actual nutrition meal.

"What are you doing here?" Naruto said as he saw Sasuke look around curiously and settled on Naruto's bed in which Naruto tensed.

Naruto sat across the room on a wooden chair, making sure much space was between them. Being in the same room alone with the uchiha made the jinchuriki nervous. Especially since it was his apartment, just thinking about how Sasuke left his smell or Sweet tomatoes and flowers everywhere made him want to pounce and take him then and there in his bed. But he had to restrain himself if he wanted to keep their friendship in tact.

"I decided to spend the night with you, and Christmas as well." Sasuke declared, he didn't meet Naruto's eyes, he knew he hadn't the will to look into those bright blue eyes without blushing or pouncing at his best friend.

Hearing the sudden announcement Naruto stared at his ravened haired teammate in shock. "Huh?" He said confused.

"I'm staying for the week, so get ready and be a good host." Sasuke said, pointing an accusing pale finger at Naruto.

In a sudden motion Naruto had pushed Sasuke down on his bed, grasping both of the Uchiha's hands and lifting them over her head he stared into Sasuke's shocked eyes. Naruto had a scary expression, one he had never shown before. His now serious and lustful gaze, stared deeply into Sasuke, igniting something inside of him.

"Sasuke." Naruto said in a husky voice as he leaned in slowly. "Being in my house for an entire week will be dangerous for you."

"H-How so?" Sasuke squeaked, he felt excited for some reason, but he knew. He knew very well that in this situation he wanted Naruto to ravish him completely.

"If I told you, there will be no backing down." Naruto leaned in dangerously beside Sasuke's ear, making Sasuke blush deeply by the sudden hot breath.

"An Uchiha never runs away." Sasuke said in a breath.

"Alright, but I warned you." Naruto said as he placed a gentle kiss on to Sasuke's neck, making the ravened haired boy moan slightly. "Be prepared for this week, I'll make you an Uzumaki soon enough."

Naruto knew he never felt any kind of friendship with the Uchiha, no, now after this very he knew he hated the idea of being his friend. He wanted something more, something permanent.

Christmas came and Sasuke woke up to have the other side of the bed empty and cold. His lower back hurt, but in his mind it was completely worth it. Standing up on unstable legs he limped over to the stove and looked at the clock. It was seven in the morning yet Naruto wasn't in bed, and not to mention it was Christmas.

He heard the door to the apartment open and in stepped a blonde head of hair covered in many layers of clothing.

"Man it's freezing!" He whined.

"Where did you go?" Sasuke said with a smirk.

"Just to make sure the present was finally finished." Naruto said with a grin, it became wider as he looked at Sasuke's confused face.

"Present?"

"Yup, merry Christmas Sasuke." Naruto said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box.

His eyes widened at he saw the Orange box, walked towards his liver, Sasuke grabbed the box and opened it. Inside held a necklace, decorating it was a single blue Crystal. A breathtaking blue, just like Naruto's eyes.

"A single trinket, so when you head off to your mission you can take me with you as well." Naruto said as he reached forward and cupped Sasuke's cheek in his hand, bringing him close into a sweet long kiss.

"I have something for you as well." Sasuke said, as he went to the bed and reached under it, he retrieved a small box and handed it to Naruto.

Smiling wildly, Naruto opened it the black box and almost screamed in excitement. The box held a pair of rings, one black and the other orange. Sasuke grabbed the orange and left the black one for Naruto.

"At first when I came over, I wasn't so sure how to give this to you unless I confessed. But seeing as you did all the work it didn't matter." Sasuke said as a small smile laid on his lips.

Naruto chuckled as grabbed the black ring and slipped it onto his ring finger. "I'll take it as a proposal." He whispered seductively towards Sasuke.

"Baka." Sasuke blushed as he turned away from the blonde idiot.

The idiot he loved.
