Sweet Strawberry

Team seven had finally finished one of their D ranked mission, they had been pulling out weeds and were fresh out the bath to regroup.

Naruto in his usual orange jump suit, his head protector neatly on his forehead and walked casually towards the front of the Hokage's building. His fingers laced behind his head, whistling a little tune. Seeing as Sakura was already there he decided to pick up a conversation.

"Hey Sakura!" Naruto grinned his usual playfull features brightening even the darkest of days, although that day wasn't dark. Far from it even, it wasn't scorching hot, but they wouldn't call it a cool day either. Especially when they were standing in front of the Hokage's building without any shade.

"Hey Naruto." Sakura said with a roll to her eyes, a small playful glare thrown towards her blonde friend.

"Guess who I saw on the way here?!" Naruto shouted, his usual loud tone as he dropped his hands from behind his head and stood closer to his team mate.

"Mm? Who?" Sakura said curious. She was always like that, she liked hearing gossip and sticking her nose to people's arguments and problems. A nasty habit that will get her into deep trouble as Naruto had warned her before.

"Hinata~" Naruto sang out their shy and quiet friend's name and chuckled as he saw his pink haired friend blush and scowl. She turned around ignoring her friend, but in truth she had a small smile plastered on her lips as she though of her crush.

"Shut up baka! You're making it sound so obvious." Sakura said turning back as she hit her blonde friend on the head earning her a satisfying yelp.

"But didn't you want her to find out?" Naruto said confused and oblivious to the situation.

"Oi, usurantokachi." Sasuke grumbled out. "You're too loud."

"Shut up teme! Butt out of our conversation!" Naruto countered as he glared at his rival.

"Hn." Came the famous response of the Uchiha.

Kakashi walked towards his student, catching the eye of Naruto as he suddenly grinned and came running towards him, asking him about what they were going to eat.

"Hey Sasuke." Sakura whispered, even though their blonde friend was far away not to hear them, she wanted to make sure.

"Hn."

"When are you going to tell the block head you like him?" Sakura snickered as she saw a small red dust form on his cheeks.

"Tch." Sasuke frowned but made a small smirk as he shook his head at his team mate. "I've been dropping little hints here and there, but you know Naruto, he's too innocent for his own good. I'll try making it obvious when I get the chance."

"Ahhh~ Sasuke you sound like a girl." Sakura chuckled as Sasuke glared at her and stuffed his hands in his pockets, heading towards his sensei and the love of his life.

"I don't see you getting any close to Hinata." He called back.

Sakura was about to respond back with a snarky comments when their bright friend cut her off. "Cake?" He said confused.

"Yes, you've never tasted cake before?" Kakashi questioned, his eyes widening in realization.

"Nope, I always ate ramen when it was my birthday because cake were too expensive." Naruto explained his situation.

"We're going to have to fix that." The copy cat ninja muttered as he left his students into a dessert store.

Kakashi sat down with a grunt in one of the booths as his students followed suit, Sakura beside her sensei while Naruto sat at the other side of the table with Sasuke. Naruto was unable to comment on the arrangement since he was too occupied and excited to eat his first cake. What would it taste like? Would it be sweet? If so, how sweet?

"Hello, I'm Yuko, I'll we your waitress for the evening, may I take your orders?" A waitress said with a sweet smile.

"I'll take a blueberry tart, Sakura?" Kakashi ordered for himself, as he turned towards the pink Haruno beside him.

"A chocolate smoothie please." She said.

"Sasuke?" Kakashi turned towards the raven head.

"I'm fine, I don't have that much of a sweet tooth." He said as he leaned forwards, his elbows rested on the wooden table.

"And you sir?" The waitress said she turned towards Naruto.

"I'm new to the whole cake thing, so I don't know what to order." Naruto said with a nervous laugh.

"Well that's quite alright, would you like for me to choose for you?"

"Yes please." Naruto said.

"Then I'll get you the strawberry jammed three layered cake, it's very good and also one of my favorites." She said she bowed and left to make their orders.

"This is very exciting." Naruto said with a wide grin, not noticing the way Sasuke had been staring at him for the past ten minutes that they have been waiting.

Finally their orders arrived, Kakashi and Sakura eating slowly at their food. Although Kakashi hid his face expertly from them, much to the teams disappointment. Naruot didn't eat though, he was so excited that he looked towards Kakashi and asked him what he should eat it with.

"There's a strawberry jam that goes well with any cake." Kakashi responded.

Nodding Naruto stood up to catch the attention of their waitress and waved and extend arm towards her. She turned at the motion and smiled at him.

"May I get your strawberry jam please?" Naruto shouted from across the room, which made the waitress blush of embarrassment, but either way she nodded and left to the back.

While Naruto was talking to Kakashi Sasuke was looking at the big strawberry that sat on top of the cake slice. It shined, he even felt his mouth water slightly. Deciding his fate he grabbed the fork beside the plate and stabbed the stranger with it. He picked it up and saw Naruto stare at him in shock. But soon enough it turned into rage.

"Oi! Teme, what do you think you're doing?!" Naruto began scolding his teammate. "I waited thirteen years to eat a cake this delicious looking, and your not going to run by-"

He was cut off by the Uchiha, too shock to do anything he let Sasuke do what he wanted. Sasuke grabbed Naruto's chin and guided it closer towards him. The fork with the strawberry on the end lifted up as he placed it into the entrance of Naruto's mouth. Making Sasuke blush slightly at the intimate act, as Naruto blushed as well.

The rest of the time they were in the store, Naruto ate in quiet with a blush. Standing up while Kakashi went to pay, Sasuke came up to him and slipped his hand into the blonde's hand. Not saying anything Naruto rubbed his neck with the other and they left hand in hand to spend the rest of their day together.
