I am a scientist who works for the government. For me, it is a noble responsibility that many people dream of.

Of course, to achieve the success I have now is all thanks to my efforts and intelligence.

Following the instructions from above, I will work with 3 other people. Among them, I already knew John (Scientist cameraman) because we are close friends.

As for the remaining 2 people, it is still a mystery, only knowing that one is a boy and one is a girl. But that does not bother me much, as long as I complete the assigned work.

We were all assigned to Group C and today would be the first day I would officially meet the other two.

John: I'm John, he's Dave. Nice to meet you.

???: Who is it Oliver?

Oliver: Did you really forget? They are the people who will be working with us in the same group.

After saying that, the person turned around. Appearing in front of me was a young girl with long, smooth, soft brown hair that fell to her shoulders.

She was wearing a dark purple suit tucked into black tight pants. The top of the suit was unbuttoned to reveal a blue shirt underneath. Round glasses adorned her face.

As soon as she turned around, she smiled at us, speaking in a gentle, sweet voice.

???: Sorry, I didn't mean to forget you two, I was just so busy that I forgot ☺️

???: Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Cathy, you two must be John and Dave. Nice to meet you.

Cathy: Let's work hard together from now on 🥰

Cathy reached out to shake her hand, seeing that I was about to take her hand.

Dave: Let's work hard together.

John: "I told you I don't care, only an idiot would believe me." 😏

Oliver: Okay, let's stop here, let's get back to work Cathy.

Then she turned around and went back to work with Oliver.

During that time, the four of us became closer than before. Except for Oliver and I, who had known each other for a long time, John was extremely kind and thoughtful to everyone.

As for Dave, he was always cold and indifferent, but I knew he cared a lot about what we did and what we encountered.

And I gradually realized that I had special feelings for him. Not because he was handsome, although I had to admit that. But also because he was a kind, brave, and courageous person.

I just don't dare to admit it to him. If Dave doesn't have any feelings for me, it will be difficult for us to communicate with each other in the future.

The camera is working and I put my face in front of the camera to check.

Then I turned away from the camera and walked towards Dave.

He looked back at me and continued working.

He's cold again. Anyway, I'm used to Dave's personality so I didn't pay much attention, I just shrugged and continued working.

While I was thinking about this, Oliver called my name.

Oliver: Cathy, open gate C quickly.

Cathy: Okay, I'll open it.

What I didn't notice was that while I was talking to Oliver, Dave turned to look at me and gave me a thumbs up to the camera.

The blue portal lit up our entire lab.

Cathy: So we did it 😆

I was so happy that I rushed to hug Dave. By the time I realized it, it was too late, the other two were staring at us.

I was so embarrassed that I wished there was a hole I could crawl into. Not wanting to be misunderstood, I quickly pushed Dave away and apologized to him for my indiscretion.

Cathy: Um, I'm sorry. I was just so happy that...

Cathy: "He didn't avoid me."

Dave: Don't worry, I'm fine.

John: Ahem. Okay, let's have a party to celebrate our achievements. Anyone who isn't drunk can't go home.
