Chapter 11

***POV CAMERAWOMAN

I slowly woke up, squinting against the bright light that hit my eyes. It took me a moment to adjust to the light, but I realized that I was in my race's repair area. The first thing I did was force myself to sit up from the bed.

Camerawoman: Ouch, that hurts. Wait, Dave.

He fell asleep with his head against the wall in the room, his hand tightly holding mine. Noticing the movement, Dave opened his eyes, along with a few snores. When he was fully awake, he immediately hugged me tightly and refused to let go.

Plunger cameraman: Why Cathy, I told you so many times not to risk your life. Why didn't you listen to me, I thought I lost you.

Camerawoman: I'm sorry. They attacked so suddenly that my army and I didn't have time to prepare.

Camerawoman: How long have I been unconscious, Dave?

Plunger cameraman: It's been three days Cathy. When I found you, you were badly injured, covered in wounds all over your body.

Camerawoman: But how did you find me, I was clearly crushed by a collapsing building.

Plunger cameraman: I don't know, at that time you were found sitting with your back against a hidden corner in an unconscious state.

I'm in shock right now with what I heard. How could that be possible, at that time I thought I was going to die under that pile of rubble. How could I have escaped, someone must have helped me. But who was it I can't remember?

Camerawoman: Who saved me?

Plunger cameraman: That's not important Cathy, what's important right now is for you to rest well. I have to go on a mission.

Camerawoman: I know, you just do your job :)))

He didn't forget to place a light kiss on my lips before leaving the room. Looking at the back that had just left until it was completely out of sight, I also lay down to help myself feel more comfortable.

Even so, I still couldn't stop wondering about the person who saved me, the strange thing was that I didn't have any memories of that person, everything was extremely vague.

THREE DAYS AGO

***POV PLUNGER CAMERAMAN

I had returned to the base, it was already late, she must have completed her mission. Honestly, I just wanted to fall into her arms and have a good sleep.

But since then, I still haven't seen Cathy's figure. Could it be that she hasn't completed the mission yet? I don't know why I have a bad feeling about this.

Suddenly, I heard whispers outside the base. I ran to check, in front of me were Cameramen 3.0. Weren't they with Cathy, where is she?

One of the Cameramen convinced the others about something.

Cameraman 3.0: Commander, she... We have to help her... In order for us to escape the attack of the giant Astros, the commander stayed with Fred.

Processing the information I just heard, I quickly rushed forward, grabbed the cameraman's collar and questioned him angrily.

Plunger Camera: TELL ME WHERE IS SHE?

Cameraman 3.0: The... battlefield west of the city.

Without hesitation, I used the Jetpack to fly there as fast as possible. Cathy just waited for me a bit.

***POV???

After reporting to the secret agent about the Computer race starting to join the campaign according to his will, I left the room, turned on stealth mode and went to the battlefield to check what was going on outside.

My attention fell on a person who was fighting the huge Astros alone. Looking closely, I realized that it was a girl I knew before, Camerawoman.

Camerawoman, why is she fighting them alone, where are the other cameramen?

Even though she was outnumbered by herself, Camerawoman still fought back tenaciously. Until at some point, I noticed her exhaustion, she must have reached her limit. An Astro quickly finished her off by shooting at the building near where she was standing.

I waited until they all left before approaching, turned off my invisibility, and rescued Camerawoman from the rubble. I carried her princess style and continued to do so until I found a hidden corner and put her down gently.

???: I'm sorry, if I show up before the building collapses, they will notice my existence. I can't let myself be noticed by anyone, be it you, Plunger, or her.

Camerawoman opened her eyes and looked at me in shock before uttering a sentence that was interrupted by pain.

Camerawoman: Dark Speakerman, are you still alive? How come.

Dark Speakerman: That's something you have to forget from your memory, please take care of Speaker woman for me.

I said then I shined a green light on Camerawoman, it will make her faint and lose her memory of meeting me today. After that I also quickly left because I noticed the appearance of Plunger cameraman very recently, he must be looking for Camerawoman.

Dark Speakerman: See you next time Plunger. We will have a chance to meet again, soon.

***POV PLUNGER CAMERAMAN

Looking around the area to search for Cathy, I noticed a small noise coming from a hidden corner in the row of buildings. Carefully approaching with two plungers in hand in case it was a trap.

But I quickly dropped my Spiked plunger when I realized it was Cathy. In a serious state of injury, her body was in tatters, her military uniform was also not intact. It was even slightly torn, revealing her body covered in bruises from heavy objects pressing on it and the broken camera lens.

It took me a few seconds to overcome my shock and run towards my wife. Quickly taking off my coat, I quickly covered Cathy to cover her exposed body and immediately picked her up and flew back to the base for emergency treatment.

I have witnessed too many sacrifices of people around me in my life. That is enough, I don't want to lose anyone else, especially Cathy. This life will have no meaning to me without you by my side, so please live, don't leave me alone.

***POV PLUNGER CAMERAMAN

After completing the mission, all I wanted to do now was to see if Cathy was okay. Gently entering her hospital room, I saw that Cathy had been asleep for a long time. I sat down on the chair and looked at her for a while, just like a little cat. She looked so peaceful. How nice it would be if she could stay peaceful like this forever.

Plunger cameraman: You must be very tired, it's my fault for not being able to protect you properly.

I gently stroked Cathy's face lovingly and felt her hand caressing mine. She woke up.

Camerawoman: It's not your fault, you've always protected me. Haven't you?

Plunger cameraman: Cathy.

Camerawoman: Neither of us knows what will happen to ourselves or each other in the future. So for me, just being together right now is enough.

Cathy was right, no matter what happens in the future. Both of us will face it together.

Plunger cameraman: I will become strong to protect you.

Camerawoman: Me too. Let's work hard together.
