Chapter 17 |

Paxton's weight pushes against her, laying them both on the floor of her dorm as his hands start exploring the body hidden under her heavy sweats. A smile spreads on his face as his cold hands slip under the sweatshirt. Adelaide shivers in response.

A deep blush covers Adelaide from head to toe, her mind racing wondering if Paxton could notice that this was the first time she had made out with someone. Is it obvious? Is she doing it right?

She's slowly pulled out of her own mind when Paxton allows himself to sink deeper into her and his full length is pressed above her.

Adelaide's hands come up before she even thinks about it, gently pushing his shoulders away.

He immediately pulls off of her, a frown covering his face as his eyes scrunch up in worry.

"I'm sorry," he blurts out before she can say anything.

She shakes her head sitting up with him. She quickly grabs his hand tightly into her own.

"No. It's nothing you did." She doesn't even know why she's pushing him away herself. Promising him something when she doesn't even know the reasoning behind it but the thought that he might think she didn't want this hurts her even more. Worries her in a way she's never felt before.

"What's wrong?" Paxton asks, his face clearing and he takes the time to really look at her, taking in her every move.

"It's just-" she doesn't know what to say, or how to even continue her sentence but Paxton is patient waiting for her to continue his eyes never leaving hers. "I've just never been with someone like this?"

Her voice ends in a question, confusing her but Paxton nods his head immediately in understanding.

"We don't have to continue if you don't want to." She feels her face fall slightly and he gives a deep chuckle in response. "Or we could work keep boundaries in mind and continue."

He smirks at her and the sureness of his words and the way he's so confident in himself that she can't help herself from reaching up and pulling him into another kiss.

This time Paxton allows Adelaide to decide how far and how fast they take things. Always working off of Adelaide and what she wants. Making her confident and comfortable as they continue.

The pair make out for a while Adelaide's hands staying firmly on Paxton's chest while Paxton keeps his own entwined in her hair, softly tugging every now again on the long strands.

Finally Adelaide pulls back.

"Do you - um - want to watch a movie with me?" Her chest gives a shake, she feels like a little kid in middle school asking her crush for a pencil or something.

As the blush starts forming on her cheeks Paxton can't help but chuckle her softly at her.

"I would love to." He gets up quickly leaning down to help Adelaide up on her shaking legs.

She allows him to practically pick her up and move her towards the bed, they lay down in a tumble of body parts. She can feel the excitement still thickening inside his pants, her throat goes dry as it presses against her. However if he can ignore then she can as well.

She moves underneath him ever so slightly, moving over to allow him to fall into place beside her. They stay wrapped up in eachother as he turns the tv on. Adelaide doesn't even have time to look at the screen before he's pressing play. As she looks up at him his eyes are solely on her.

True to his word Paxton waits for Adelaide to make the first move. Her eyes slowly drifting down to his lips before he's leaning down to her pulling her into him even more.

The sweet taste of Paxton enters her mouth, an explosion of passion over taking them as they explore each other. Adelaide finally allows her hands to move off of his strong chest. Paxton lets her explore his body, allowing her to lift the sweatshirt from his body and feel the flesh underneath it.

He mouth slides into a smirk in the kiss, leaning further into her touch, egging her to continue exploring. She's fascinated by the feel of his muscles tightening underneath her hand, he leans away from the kiss eyes watching her every expression as he hands explore.

"You are literally all muscle aren't you?" Her voice is filled with admiration but Paxton just smiles down at her.

"Your gonna have to use those soft hands and find out for yourself." His words are deep with promise and when she finally pulls her eyes to his they are dark with lust.

Her eyes match his as she leans closer to him letting her body control her movements and trying not to overthink every movement.

Her mouth slides down to his throat, taking in the deep heat of his skin between her lips. She opens her eyes watching the way it bobs almost nervously as she watches. Then her tongue finds the ridges of his neck and she lays the tiniest of kisses along it.

Underneath her Paxton groans. The sound makes her chest and stomach ache with want.

She leans up to his lips again.

Most of the night is spent like that, Paxton allowing Adelaide to take control of everything and letting her explore every part of him that she wants.

Not everything she does is sexual, most of it just her learning his body and with every touch has his erection painfully throbbing in anticpation.

The movie eventually ends completely forgotten in the background. Eventually Adelaide pulls back sedated and tired.

"Thank you Paxton." Her voice is clear and open.

He can't help but smile at her as he pulls her back into him, a deep cuddle bringing warmth and openness.

"Anything you want Adelaide."

"Stay with me tonight?" The words are low, shy in their nature but Paxton doesn't have the capacity to say no. Not tonight anyway, there's no way he's removing himself from her warmth.

She falls asleep quickly in his arms as he is encompassed in her scent he slowly falls asleep as well.

The sun shining through the blinds wakes her up the next morning, as she rolls around the bed she's not surprised to find the side Paxton had fallen asleep on cold. However, it does send her sitting up, suddenly wanting the thick blanket off of her skin, she harshly kicks it away.

"Whoa, what did the blanket do to you?" The smooth voice of Paxton pulls her glare from the blanket up to him as he kicks the dorm door closed behind him.

He looks perfectly perfect in some new clothes and holding out a coffee and breakfast muffin out to her in offering.

Unconsciously Adelaide bites down slightly on her lip in response and Paxton's eyes immediately drawn to the movement watches her. Without an ounce of hesitation he leans down and pulls her lip from her mouth before bitting down on it himself.

She gasps at the act making him chuckle before leaning down.

"Good morning." The deep rumble of his voice vibrating through Adelaide's chest.

"Um. Morning."

Adelaide not one so normally ruffled by a person much less a guy is shocked by her own need to hide under the blanket.

Instead she takes a deep breath and pushes the blanket off. Grabbing the muddin and coffee from Paxton, before walking to her chair and sitting down. When she finally has the guts to look up at Paxton he's just watching her with an amused grin.

Instead of saying something she will definitely end up regretting she takes a long sip of the coffee.

Her coffee.

"How did you know my coffee order?" Her eyes turn accusingly towards Paxton.

"I just told her to make me the strongest thing she legally could and this is what she made." There's a lightness to his tone that makes her think he's joking but at the same time that is how she takes her coffee most mornings.

Instead of answering him she takes another drink and starts picking apart her muffin.

"Pax-" She starts but is cut off by Paxton currently tripping over one of her sweatshirts and face planting into the ground.

She can't help it, all the awkwardness that had been that had been making her body and mind stiff immediately falling away as she openly laughs at the guy currently laying face first on her floor.

The rough chuckle of Paxton quickly joining in. She lets all the stress leave her body as she slides down the chair onto the floor besides him.

Rubbing his back she mockingly says.

"You alright there?"

It sparks another laugh from Paxton that sets something alight in her chest. A want, no a need to hear it again.

She leans over him spinning him around so he's laying on his back.

"Anything broken?"

He smirks up at her, only happiness and humor in his expression.

"Apart from my ego. No everything is perfectly fine."

She laughs with him, until his hand reaches up to her back and pulls her down towards him. Face to face. A mere second passes before they are leaning into each other sharing another kiss.

This time she is much more open to it. The taste of him exploding once again in her mouth until he's all she can taste.

"Pax." She whispers agaisnt his lips wanting to pull away but enjoying his taste too much. He doesn't bother listening because as soon as her lips are out of reach his mouth is fluttering down her neck, sucking and biting his fill of her.

"Say it again." He groans into her neck, a swarm of butterflies erupts in her stomach. She can't bring herself to say it again.

She pushes harder at his chest until he finally backs off, the grin on his face when he does makes her own smile encase her lips.

"This can't ... We can't." She doesn't know what she's saying, her mouth just opening and words tumbling out before she can even think them through. A solemn look crosses Paxton's face for a split second before a smile replaces it.

"I know. And I completely agree. This really can;t be anything more than a friendship."

She shakes her head, cutting him off.

"I can't be friends with you. I can't be friends with a guy from the Hockey team, my professional reputation has already taken a hit from the team. I don't need anything more disrupting that."

He nods his head, sitting up beside her on the floor.

"I mean I can't really be seen with you wither, I might be a good player but with the amount of people wanting to be on the team I would immediately lose my spot from the team being friends with you."

Adelaide's mind fills with thoughts of never seeing this Paxton again, only seeing the rude, mean Paxton that the team forces him to become.

"Maybe however, we could keep our friendship secret. Like the tutoring. We can meet here and hang out with each other. You know just be casual, secret ... friends."

His words are almost thrown out there, he doesn't meet her eye as if afraid of the rejection she could through. She only just stops herself from throwing her arms around him in excitement.

"That sounds ... nice."

She grins over at him as he sends her a dazzling grin back at her.

"Okay ... Friend."
