Mikey jumped forward as soon as the credits started rolling after the episode. "Alright!" he shouted. "Next season!"

Had I had anywhere to be or go, I would've stopped Mikey by now, but Casey, April, and Raph had joined us, and Mikey had just ordered another four pizzas.

"Where's Leo?" I looked up at Raph, who was lounging on the couch above me. I glanced over at my phone again. The text I sent to Leo remained unanswered and unread.

"He's probably looking for Karai or something." Raph waved off the question dismissively. "He doesn't love it when she bothers his family."

"He loves it when she bothers him." Casey snickered.

"Family?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I mean... y-yeah, duh. I mean pretty much anyone who knows us too well has to be family or enemy, so..." Raph spluttered. Mikey laughed.

"Yeah -- we're totally bros, bro!" He dove onto his beanbag next to me, punching me on the arm. "Onamaha means family." He said matter-of-factly beofre throwing popcorn into his mouth -- and completely missing.

"Ohana," I corrected him.

"And family means no one gets left behind," April continued for him.

"Or forgotten," I finished, glancing down at my phone again, biting my lip.

Leo appeared three episodes of SRMF5 later, one of his katanas in his hand.

"Leo!" Mikey jumped up happily when he noticed him. Leo looked up and smiled half-heartedly.

"Hey Mike," he sheathed his sword just before Mikey wrapped him in a bear hug. I stood up with Raph, wincing as my back cracked obnoxiously.

"Where were you, dude?" Raph planted his hands on his hips angrily. "You've been gone for two hours. Mikey's been rotting our brains with tapes."

"Hey!" Mikey complained.

"I couldn't find Karai," Leo knocked loudly on the door to the lab, waiting for Donnie. "Only a few dozen Foot Bots."

"That's what those are, huh?" I regarded the few scratches on his fists and face.

Donatello appeared at the door. "Well, well. Look who showed up."

"Don, can I just get an ice -"

"No," Donnie folded his arms. "Gone for two hours? No text? No note? There was nothing Leo. You could've been dead and we'd have no idea."

"Sorry Mom," Leo rolled his eyes. "I just wanted Karai to know --"

"And you could've told us," Donnie interrupted. "We know whenever you see Karai you don't exactly act aggresive."

"I do too!"

"Calm down, Raph." Raphael rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, clever," I mumbled to him, feeling like an intruder.

"Fine," Leo shoved Donnie aside. "I'll get it myself." He stalked into the lab, fuming.

"This is my fault." I sighed.

"That's not true," Donnie argued sharply. "He's always going after Karai -- he just used the attack as an excuse to go see her."

I slumped back into my bean bag chair and stared at my half-eaten slice of pizza. I still felt responsible for making Leo go after Karai, even if he wanted to in the first place.

It was 2 in the morning when Mikey finally decided to save the fourth season for later. Casey was asleep, leaning on Raph. April was stretched out on the floor next to me, yawning. My eyelids were feeling pretty heavy, and once Mikey switched the TV off, the only light came from dappled squares from the sewer grates above the liar.

Mikey settled into his beanbag next to me again. He took a deep breath, leaned his head back, and sighed contently as he listened to cars rev by. "Totally rad," I heard him murmur to himself. I grinned.

"Always loved the night," Mikey continued. "Ya know?"

I nodded slowly before realizing he couldn't see me. "Yeah."

"I like it when there's a pause in everyone's conversation, no cars are driving by, and you can hear the music from that real fancy restaurant a few blocks down." Mikey said.

"Gustavo's?"

"Maybe. Or Jeffrey's." Mikey laughed. A car drove by above us. I closed my eyes, ready to crash.

I heard Mikey next to me. "Hey thanks dude."

"For what?" I asked through a yawn.

"I was starting to get bored, man. I mean it was great when April showed up and all, and we got to meet a human, but with you... Hey, it's like I got another brother, bro."

I wanted to respond, but by then I had fallen asleep.
