I rode back with Kid. He was taking off his makeup and wig as we rode in silence. "Kiddo-Kun..." I said while leaning on him. I ruffled his messy hair. It was all crazy from the wig.

"Yes..?" He asked while trying hopelessly to fix his hair. I stopped his hands. His sanzu lines connected when he became Lord Death, a bit of ease to his mind.

"You never told me that you had a thing for Liz." I teased. Kid's pale face turned to bright red.

"I-It was five years ago!! I..." He hung his head and I giggled.

"Aww... So cute. You get so shy it's adorable." I said while hugging him tight. I looked to my hands and smiled at the ring I wore. A pure silver band studded with small emeralds. It was the promise ring he had given me when he finally came out and told me the truth. Who he really was. I met him as Kyle. Hung out with him, completely unaware that he was a grim reaper. I felt no need to check his soul since I never resonated with him. I always sensed that he was a good person none the less. I always saw what he was inside. He wasn't entirely honest with me.
