a small sigh left my lips as i typed my essay, which was due tonight. i started doing online school when we left new york, i didnt want to start at a new school. i took a drink from my now cold coffee, scrunching my nose in disgust.

"dom, im going to work. if you need anything call me, and yes tyler can come over." my mother told me as she stood in the doorway to my room. tyler and i had hung out almost everyday for the past two weeks. we bonded so quickly and i was happy with that, hes an amazing person to be around.

"okay momma, i love you." i responded, she smiled at me.

"i love you too, have a great night." she said, blowing a kiss then leaving.

i pulled out my phone to text tyler.

i set my phone down, going back to write the essay i knew nothing about.

i got hungry so i went to make a snack, only able to find pizza lunchables. i grabbed two and went back to my room to hopefully finish the essay.

after two hours i had finally finished. i checked my phone to see if tyler texted but he hadnt so i turned on a movie.

halfway through the movie, i heard my front door open and then footsteps leading to my room.

"i brought snacks and drinks!" tyler yelled as he opened my door, i almost shit myself from how scared i was.

"are you planning on getting high or something?" i joked.

"is that an option?" he asked with puppy eyes.

"uh sure." i responded, not entirely sure if hes being serious. "do you even smoke weed?" i asked him, he looked at me like im stupid.

"yes." he answered, crossing his arms.

i grabbed my box from under my bed, handing it to him and laying back on my bed. i had a few prerolled blunts, he grabbed the fattest one and smirked.

tyler handed me the blunt and i took several hits from it before passing it back.

"we need more friends." tyler said, i nodded in response.

"we really do." i mumbled, he handed me his backpack which was full of junk food and juice.

i grabbed my tv remote and turned on family guy for tyler. he got on the bed and sat next to me. he held several snacks in his lap with all of his focus on the tv. i laughed when i saw that he was sitting criss cross, even though i was.

"what?" he questioned, now focused on me.

"we're sitting like little kids, its cute." i laughed, he let out a sudden wheeze. which caused me to wheeze in response, both of us almost falling of the bed.

this happened almost any time one of us would laugh.

i finally stopped laughing and sat back up. tyler was still trying to catch his breath. his body slightly hanging off the side of the bed. he sat up and put his attention back on family guy.

"isnt your birthday in a few days?" he asked, my eyes widened and i looked at the date.

"4 days, i completely forgot." i said, a frown forming on my face.

how did i forget my birthday?

"how did you forget your seventeenth? your last year before adulthood?" he questioned me, i bit the inside of my cheek. i had no idea why i forget about my birthday.

"i dont know, ty." i answered, looking back at the tv.

we watched family guy until tyler was starting to fall asleep.

"tyler, wake up." i groaned, lightly flicking his face.

"what dom?" he whined, rubbing his eyes.

"lets do something fun." i suggested, he looked at me in confusion.

"does that require leaving the house?" he asked, i nodded and got up from my bed.

i pulled on sweatpants over my spandex and a hoodie over my shirt. the hoodie was troys, it still somehow smells like him which is comforting.

"where are we going?" tyler asked, sitting up and putting his sweatshirt on.

"walmart." i answered, a slight smirk on my lips.

i pulled on my vans and grabbed my keys, tyler still sitting on the bed. i rolled my eyes and pulled him up, pointing at his shoes for him to put on. he lazily pulled them on and we walked out to my car.

"are you good to drive?" he asked, his eyes still glossy and red.

"yeah, now what do you wanna listen to?" i asked, and handed him my phone so he could pick a song.

he started playing canyon moon by harry styles, i smiled and turned up the volume. it was completely dark outside, considering it was 11 pm.

we got to walmart and i got out, immediately running to grab a cart. tyler climbed into the cart and i pushed him inside.

we ran around the isles almost knocking everything over in the process.

"can we get matching onesies?" tyler asked, pointing at the giant fuzzy onesies. i grabbed two and put them on him.

i pushed the cart and let it roll down the isle with tyler in it. he was scream laughing, we were bound to get in trouble. the cart crashed into a shelf with a loud thud, clothing items falling onto tyler.

he jumped up from the cart and we ran the opposite direction, hoping no one saw us make the mess. we walked to the front of the store to check out. tyler grabbed several snacks as we checked out.

i pulled my phone out of my pocket, seeing that troy had texted me an hour ago.

i opened tiktok and searched for troy. a big smile formed on my face when i saw that he made a video of us. there was stuff from the day we met leading up to now. the caption was 'just missin my baby so i made this'. there were so many cute and supportive comments i started to tear up.

"i miss troy." i pouted, tyler brought me into a hug.

"you'll see him soon, i promise."

this might be my last update for a while. theres so much going on right now and i know that i wont be very motivated to write or do anything.
