Skate's up Part twelve: Actions of Regret

Scene cuts to Skate in the plane's engine room as he walks up to the engine itself.

Skate opened up the engine compartment and sees the flammable sticker he heard about. He then thought of a way he can get around this since he doesn't want to burn himself. But he also worried about something else. 'On one paw I really wanna stop the last race from happening so I don't have to do anything too drastic. But on the other paw I really wanna win.'

Skate tried to get back on track and pulled up a match, setting it on fire. But even then, he couldn't hide the regret he felt inside. 'Don't show vulnerability Skate. You have to win, for both your family and to beat Scooter.'

Skate looked at the flammable sticker and wondered how he can get around burning himself. Although it was low brow, he got an idea and turned around, putting the match up to his butt, with his butt being shown. Skate lifted his leg and grunts as he ripped a five second garlic fart (brrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuup).

The fire ended up burning the engine and Skate also smelled something off and sniffed to catch it. Little did he know that it was coming from his rear end and saw that his butt has been set on fire, with him then speaking calmly. "And the pain kicks in now.

Justin was walking by as he heard Skate cry out of the engine room while screaming in pain. Hoping Skate would be okay, Justin grabbed a fire extinguisher as Skate rubbed his butt on the floor to ease the fire. Justin sprayed Skate and the Chocolate Labrador sighed of relief, glad that the flame has been put out.

Justin walked up to Skate, hoping that nothing serious happened to him. "Skate; are you alright?"

Skate stood up and gave Justin a blunt look and cynical voice. "Well considering that I set my butt on fire, yes; I'm perfectly fine."

Justin looked back into the room, becoming curious as to what Skate was doing in there. Skate and everyone else was well aware that room was off limits. "Why were you in the engine compartment room anyway?" Skate flinched, hoping that Justin wouldn't catch onto his plan, only for the German Shepherd to look at him with concern. "Don't hide this from me Skate."

"Well see, I would tell you, but then you'd tell the entire world, and then they'd hate me." Skate explained with a worried look.

Justin gave a blunt look to Skate and then felt the plane move a bit. This helped him catch onto what Skate had done, becoming worried as well as mad. "Did you burn the engine!?"

"Heh. Yeah." Skate answered with a smirk and then he walked off, only for Justin to grab him by his collar. "Hey, back off dude!"

"Yeah buddy, I'm not one to let someone get away with something like this." Justin stated with strictness. "If it was just minor sabotage then I'd be fine with that; but not if it's at the cost of others lives."

"People aren't gonna die from this Justin." Skate chuckled a bit. "As long as we actually get to Egypt, we'll be good."

"If we even survive long enough to get to Egypt." Justin replied with worry.

"Which we will." Skate assured Justin, trying to hide up another part of his plan. "Because you're not as cool as me, so I know more." Justin rolled his eyes and walked off with Skate, who tried to break himself free.

Scene cuts to the plane landing somewhere in Egypt with the plane then breaking down.

Scooter and the others got off of the flight, wondering what could've happened. Scooter looked at the plane and wondered what could've went wrong. While he didn't have a definitive answer himself, he knew that this was serious. "Anyone else know why the plane went all cookoo when we landed?"

"I have a thought."

Justin was shown to still be on the plane as he threw Skate down the stars, which Skate slid off of and makes his landing. "Yeah yeah, start pouting and getting all mad. It's not gonna make us leave."

Nora walked up to Skate and grabbed him by his chest, glaring into his eyes with seething anger. "What did you do?"

"I just messed with the engine a little bit." Skate answered in a cocky tone. "Believe me though; the hottest country wasn't my destination. My original plan was to have all of us land in hawaii."

Nora slammed Skate down on the floor and stepped on his chest. "You risked all of our lives just to make us miss the finals!?"

"Good guess." Skate said with wit. "And if it makes you feel any better, I didn't intend on killing anyone."

Nora smirked as she looked at the ideas for Skate's punishment, having a select few in mind. "It doesn't."

Nora kicked Skate aside with Scooter walking up to her and speaking calmly. "That'll do Nora." Scooter walked up to Skate with a serious tone in his voice, letting his free spirit go to call Skate out. "Skate, do you have any idea what could've happened if we crashed?"

Skate scoffed, feeling that Scooter was taking his intelligence too seriously. "If I thought about it, (Stands up) I wouldn't have done it."

"Exactly. You hardly ever think." Scooter pointed out, knowing that Skate hardly thought out his plans. "You just make your plan and go forward with it."

"Well sometimes I have to use my brain power to kick your butt." Skate replied, which upset Scooter even more. From what he was hearing, Skate cared more about winning than anything else. "I can't win if I use it all."

Ally walked up to Trip and leans over to him whispering with a sense of worry. "You sure they're not brothers? Scooter seems concerned about what Skate did."

"Lord knows I wouldn't adopt him." Trip whispered back, not wanting Skate under his custody.

"You're not gonna win everything Skate!" Skate flinched upon Scooter's tone change, seeing that Scooter had become almost explosive. "Even if you win often you're bound to lose at least once. But even then, that's fine. You don't have to let it affect you. You can just move on and grow from the experience."

Skate started to regret what he did throughout the entire Skate's up tournament.

Scooter kept speaking with his serious tone, still sounding rather inspiring. "It's a part of life and we have to accept it. (Smiles) And hey; if we kept on winning then it'd just be boring. Without losing, what kind of fun is there to have? (Scowls) But if you're so worried about losing that you try to stop the finale from happening, then it shows that your courage has fallen flat."

Skate looked back on everything he's done and spoke up with remourse. "I'll...I'll be back dude." Skate walked off to reflect on what he's done with Scooter sighing and looking over the cliff. Trip walked up to Scooter and put his paw on his shoulder for comfort.
