Skye was flying through the obstacles around the stadium in Adventure Bay, it was an intense afternoon for her as Ace Sorensen announced about tournament for all flying pups from whole USA. The Cockapoo was called to defend colors of her town as she trully wanted to prove that she was a really good pilot, sometimes Skye felt that she was the least rated because of her size and utility and it was a good chance to prove otherwise. However when she saw which times her future opponents were performing, she realized that she won't stand a chance - so the Cockapoo started training since early morning. Every time she was close, but not enough and it made her almost break down. Ryder and pups were also here, supporting Skye, Ace was there too, but after every attempt, they started accepting that it might be impossible.

Zuma: I don't want to be harsh with you dudette, but you're very slow against them. You're surely fast, but look how fast they are!

Rocky: Yeah, even with upgrading your pup-pack to regulations of the tournament, it's really hard to be as quick as them.

Ace: Guys, at least let her try. It's her first time, and you mustn't put a high score immideately.

Ryder: She's right pups. We must be proud of what Skye does right now, she makes us proud.

Zuma: I agree, just... yeah, I expected more than this.

Chase: It's all fine. 

Skye though wasn't so optimistic at them, she was walking back to Lookout on verge of crying. After long day of training, it was a hard hit on her confidence in tournament. So instead of going to Lookout for dinner, she requested Ryder to go somewhere else to calm herself down and her owner allowed the Cockapoo to do so. Still, she wasn't alone as someone came up to her - I bet you guessed who it was.

Chase: Mind if I tag along?

Skye: Oh, it's you. Here.

The German Shepherd nodded and sat down beside her before starting his talk.

Chase: You alright?

Skye: Sort of. Tired a lot, both headings.

Chase: I know.

The silence between them appeared as the Cockapoo looked at Chase - she had very good bonds with him and knew that he was the pup for who she can let it all out about how she truly felt.

Skye: I'm really afraid that I'll mess up.

Chase: What? 

Skye: Let's stand against the fact - I'm massively slower than everyone else who'll participate. I appreciate all of your support, but...

At this moment Skye was sobbing quietly, so Chase pulled her to himself, making both pups blush from the touch as he started whispering in her ear.

Chase: Calm down. I know that you feel unconfident about yourself. But I'll be opened for you Skye - I truly believe that you're the best pilot pup in whole world. All people in Adventure Bay think so too.

Skye: You really mean it?

Chase: Of course I do! You give one of the biggest impacts on our missions - who else can find and check the situation around very quickly? Who has managed to stop Duke of Flappington?

Skye: Well, we did the second one as a team.

Chase: But still, it was YOU, who decided to go against him. Yeah, these pups might be faster, but you're surely braver, smarter and not to mention - cuter than them.

Skye: Awwww, thanks Chase. I'm so grateful for all things you said to me.

Chase: Even if you won't win - don't be ashamed. We'll be always here for you.

After this talk, Skye felt much much better and walked back to Lookout with Chase, feeling very confident in her abilities to fight against other pups in tournament.

Tournament day, New-York, USA

Commentator: And now Skye, the Air rescue pup from Adventure Bay is starting her flying lap! Give some cheers for her, come on!!

The crowd was cheering for Skye as she started her attempt. Paw Patrol and Ace were also here, supporting their friend for whole lap, still, Chase was watching at her not saying any word because he clearly knew that she can make a fantastic perfomance. Few minutes later, Skye passed through whole checkpoints and finished her lap, then flew back to the team.

Zuma: That was mega lap dudette!

Rocky: Way to go, Skye!

Marshall: Nice one!!

Skye: Haha, thanks.

Chase: I knew you could do this.

Then they looked at screen which showed Skyes' time, which was surprisingly enough for second place - yeah, not a victory, but for the first time participating it was mind-blowing, even tournament winner accepted it and shook his paw with Skyes'.

Back at Adventure Bay, same day

Everyone were celebrating Skyes' success, congratulating her with her fantastic debut, while she was playing with other pups, Everest and Tracker were also there.

Jake: So when the next round?

Ryder: It goes every year, so we have time to perform better.

Ace: I'm pretty sure that we had our factor to feel that confidence.

Then pups arrived with Skye in front of them and everyone smiled at their star.

Skye: That's true... but I wouldn't do that without my mentor.

Ace: Your mentor??

Everest: Heh, I wonder who's that.

Skye: Well, let me show you.

The Cockapoo came up to Chase, who giggled nervously from that and suddenly kissed the German Shepherd making everyone cheer from sudden romantic moment, then our couple hugged each other as everyone were clapping.

Ace: Hey, since when you two are a thing now?

Chase: Ehh, let's just say, it was durinng our trip back.

Marshall: Aah, that's why you went to our vehicles and closed the door.

Everyone laughed as Skye looked at Chase and rubbed her cheek against his as he responed to that. The end!
