Adventure City was in danger once again from Vanessa, who got the power of the meteorite, which fell in the city recently. Not only her, but our pups as well got mighty powers from it and now they needed to stop her from destroying their home and earning more power. The most surprising thing was the fact that Skye was in the lead in this operation and her friends promised her to keep her safe, especially Chase - after their first trip to Adventure City, the bond between them became very very strong, literally, they were ready to give their lifes to save each other from danger, and it actually got confirmed when Skye saved the German Shepherd from Humdingers' plane.

Ryder: Keep it up pups! Force her to lose the focus!!

Vanessa: Not only if I'll do the same for them!

She threw a fireball towards the boy, who was not too far from battlefield, but Ryder managed to avoid it. That's when Zuma gave her another wave splash, which moved hyper fast, thanks to Chases' hyperspeed. Skye joined their combo by making a 360 punch by her whirlwind. However, Vanessa spotted it and attacked the Cockapoo, causing them to collide with each other and fly away in separate directions - only there was one problem: Skye has lost her crystal and lost her mighty powers. Chase quickly came up to her for check.

Chase: You're ok??

Skye: My powers... they're gone! Gone!!

Chase: Did she take your crystal?

Vanessa: That's right!! And now I have enough power to rule the world!!

Then she flew away to the bridge, laughing in process as Ryder and pups joined the duo. Skye was on verge of breaking down, but the German Shepherd couldn't let himself see that.

Chase: Skye... it's not over yet. Don't beat yourself.

Skye: She has power to control the meteorite! Only one crystal is more than enough for that.

Ryder: Then... we must to destroy it!

Skye: How?

Ryder: Dogfight in the sky.

Zuma: She might get very hurt!!

Rocky: And we may lose her!

Chase: No!! As long as we are with her, together, paw in paw - she won't get hurt! We promised. And you want to flush it?

Serious look on Chases' face made everyone realize that they mustn't give up. He really became a good mentor after defeating his fear of City, thanks to his friends - and Skye couldn't not to thank him, as she suddenly hugged Chases' side.

Skye: Thanks, Chase.

Chase (blushes): Anytime... Now let's go to your plane! Time is ticking.

Skye: Got it! *gets on Chases' back* To the Tower!!

Ryder: See ya at the bridge!

5 minutes later

Pups and Ryder managed to hold Vanessa as much as they could from destroying the city and the Lookout as well to gain some time for Skye, who in her plane and flew towards their villain. In one moment, Vanessas' power was too strong for pups, so they couldn't do anything as she smiled in triumph.

Vanessa: Your time has finished!!

Skye: Not in my watch!!

Suddenly Vanessa saw the Cockapoo in her jet, flying straight towards her. As meters were remaining between them, Skye activated full power and hit the meteorite, causing a big glow in the sky. Then pups heard a huge splash and saw Skyes' jet going down - that's when Chase decided to go for it.

Chase: I'm coming for her!

Zuma: Chase, wait!! It's too deep!!

But the German Shepherd didn't care, as he used his hyperspeed to dive in the water and see unconcious Skye, he quickly grabbed her and swam back to surface - when he emerged, he called the Labrador for help.

Chase: I need a wave ride!!

Zuma: On it dude!!

Soon, Chase and Skye were on the bridge as Ryder managed to plow out all water from Skyes' lungs. When she woke up, everyone hugged her, cheering from victory.

Few hours later

Skye was sitting on top of the Lookout, watching for sunset as Chase came up to her.

Chase: You're good?

Skye: Yeah, thanks for saving me out.

Chase: Oh, anytime, remember, we're all here for you.

Skye: Especially you.

Then pups laughed as the Cockapoo continued.

Skye: You know - we're quite very very close to each other in our friendship. I don't know why, but I'm developing something bigger towards you.

Chase: Oh... me too, honestly. After all this mess with powers and Vanessa.

Skye: Heh, exactly.

Then Skye walked towards the German Shepherd, who turned towards her as she pressed her forehead against his, causing both pups to blush, but don't break their move.

Skye: I may like you very much, Chase. Thanks for being here with me all the time.

Chase: Thanks for being here with me too, and I may like you too.

Ryder: Then... you should make a promise to each other.

Chase and Skye suddenly pulled away as their owner came up with special badge: both of their symbols were on it as he put it between them.

Ryder: I love how close you got to each other in your relationship. Promise me and pups that you'll always be with each other in the most difficult moments.

Then pups smiled to each other and put one of their paws on the badge, Chases' paw on Skyes'.

Chase and Skye: Promise!
