It has been 3 years since Paw Patrol went separate ways for the first time, but not because of closing the organization. Pups pleaded Ryder to visit their parents, since they finally found them. Knowing that pups are mature and call protect themselfes in different countries, he agreed with their offer. Zuma flew to Montreal, Canada to visit his dad and cousin, Rubble flew to UK to see her grandma, Rocky flew to Boston, since dad found work here and moved from UK, Marshall flew to Croatia to see his cousins and 4 brothers and sisters, Skye flew to Atlanta to see her big family, who finished their fashoin week in Lion and Chase flew to Chicago. His parents told him, that they won't arrive in time, because of dads work schedule in Germany, so they gave him a key to their house in Chicago. 5 hours later he arrived to their house, took the key and opened it. It was quite big house with two living rooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, outside yard and 3 bedrooms. Chase took his luggage to his bedroom, went to yard and sat on chair, looking in the sky, as he thought about his crush.

Chase: I wonder, how's her meet with her parents going.

Meanwhile in Atlanta

Skye was driving in taxi worried as her mom didn't answer on her calls, even dad didn't do so. Her parents were living in suburb of city in big house and journey to them took 2 hours. When Skye arrived she saw police and medics and quickly got off from taxi. Poilceman saw her and motioned to come to him.

Policeman: Relative of Cloud family?

Skye: Yeah, I'm their daughter.

Policeman: Accept my condolences. Your family went in heaven because of disease. After fashion show in Lion, medics told them about heart problems because of their work on scene for 8 hours everyday. Their flight to America couldn't have been a last piece of puzzle to turn off their lifes, if they had rest for week before flight. I'm so sorry ma'am.

Skye (sobbing heavily): I... got it.

Policeman went to his colleagues as Skye went to field and cried for 15 minutes, mourning for loss of her family. She started thinking where she could live. Lookout was closed, other pups were too far. Then Skye got in taxi and asked driver about closest city from Atlanta. Driver told her about Miami, but she requested about distance from her city to Boston and Chicago. The last one was much closer, so Skye requested driver to get her back to airport.

8 hours later

Skye just arrived to Chicagos suburb on bus. It was a late night and every house was closed and turned off. She kept walking until she saw Chases badge on board, looked through gates and saw house, in which one light was turned on. Skye quickly found doorbell and pressed on it. 3 minutes later, Chase exited the house to let stranger in and how he got surprised when he saw Skye.

Chase: Skye? What are you doing here?

Skye: I... lost all my family... they died because of heartache (sobs).

Chase (hugs Skye): Shhh, calm down. Come in. Hungry?

Skye (sobbing): No.

Chase led Skye in house to his bedroom, letting her climb on bed for sleep time. Then he unpacked carefully her luggage and climbed on bed too. For first 25 minutes, Skye couldn't sleep as she started suffering from nightmares of her died family. They were sleeping facing each other and Chase seeing Skye shivering, pulled her closer to himself and gave small kiss on cheek. This made Skye also wrap her paws around Chase and open her eyes a little.

Skye (softly): Thanks for letting me in.

Chase (softly): You're welcome. I know it's hard to move on after such huge loss, but if you need some comfort, just call me.

Skye in response just tapped Chases nose by hers and they rubbed each other with closed eyes. Still, tiredness affected Skye so she stopped and snuggled into Chases fur.

Skye (sotfly): I... love you... Chase.

Chase couldn't believe it at this point! His crush loves him. Maybe that's a special thing about which Skye talked about after visiting her parents. Realizing the reason of visiting, he kissed her forehead.

Chase (softly): I love you too Skye.

Next morning

The clock was showing 9:45 as Skye woke up, smelling bacon. She quickly jumped off from bed and went to check on Chase. He was cooking breakfast: bacon with cereal, when he hard steps and saw Skye.

Chase: Oh, you woke up. Breakfast is ready.

Skye sat on chair as Chase handed a bowl with cereal and plate with bacon and white break. Instead of eating, Skye went to Chase and gave him a hug on which he hugged back.

Skye: I really don't know how to thank you for your care after mine horrible yesterday.

Chase: It's ok. You have no need to thank me.

Skye: Listen, when we were sleeping, did I say that I love you, right?

Chase: Yup. I heard it. And I love you too.

Skye: You are really was my light in the dark last night (stopped hugging). 

Chase: I was, is and will be you light in the dark. Anywhere, anytime!

After these words Skye just kissed Chase on lips and he kissed in response. The end!
