PUPS ARE ANTHROS!!

Chase and Skye were driving to the airport of John Kennedy in New York for Skyes' surprise. Our couple was dating for 4 years already and just yesterday, the anthro Shepherd made a proposal to his girlfriend. An early evening arrived at this point as they almost arrived to their destination and actually, Chase even didn't know what did Skye prepare for him. Not to mention, the airport was quite a very familiar place to them as she used to make private flights and he was doing police patrols on helicopter. 

Chase: Are we going for early honeymoon?

Skye: Well, my company is not allowing to have evening flights. 

Chase: So why are we at the airport?

Skye: You'll see Chasey, just wait.

Soon our couple was on territory of the airport, driving through roads for airplanes as the anthro Cockapoo checked her phone and turned it off with little smile on her face - seems like she got a message she needed. Few moments later, they stopped near little jet and got out.

Chase: Date in airplane?

Skye: Why not, but we're here not for dinner.

It made her boyfriend confused as he followed Skye inside of jet, then she motioned him to get inside of pilot cabin and took the seat of first officer as Chase took captains' seat. It took 4 minutes to fasten their seat belts, check all equipment and turn engines on.

Skye: Dispatch, this is November 0204, waiting for taxi instructions.

Dispatch: November 0204, you're clear to go to runway 31R, contact when you're ready to take off.

Skye: Roger. Alright, take control.

Chase: What?? Me?

Skye: Sure, I really want to know if you're a good pilot.

Chase: Ok then, I have control.

Then their plane started moving through taxiways to runway, at first Chase was moving very slowly, but eventually he started going faster and 7 minutes later, they stopped at the start of runway - Skye was already impressed that her boyfriend can actually control an airplane that good without any experience.

Skye: Dispatch, November 0204 is waiting for take-off, runway 31R!

Dispatch: Copy, November 0204, you're clear to take-off, climb and mainain FL040, heading 290.

Skye: Roger that!

Chase: Ok, here we go.

Skye: Just levelers to the end. But steadily.

The anthro Shepherd obeyed his girlfriend and soon they got up in the air as Skye raised gear, then Chase moved to current heading which was instructed and started flying higher, but with one problem, which was gladly not so ciritical.

Chase: Mmm, our speed is going down quite a bit.

Skye: Pull your helm away a little. *Chase did so*  Yes, that's it... don't worry, it's a typical mistake for beginners.

Chase: Like giving a maximum angle while climbing?

Skye: Haha... Chasey, since when you know some termins from flighting?

Chase: Erm... you actually requested me to help with exam.

Skye: Oh yeah, I forgot.

Soon they were flying at 1200 feet around New York as Chase set and turned the autopilot on, making his girlfriend even more surpised - he was actually using all controls of airplane like he used to flight for few years.

Chase: I'd like to make a bigger circle around city.

Skye: We can't, fuel limit.

Chase: Crap.

Dispatch: November 0204, climb to FL050, heading 275.

Chase: Climb and maintain FL050, heading 275... November 0204. Correct?

Dispatch: All correct.

Chase obeyed dispatch's instructions as now New York was on the left side of them and looked really beautiful as sunset was making all skyscrapers shine like a diamond. Skye was chilling a bit, seeing that her boyfriend was controlling the plane by himself without trouble, yeah, she made some corrections, but it was about difficult systems as simple systems were given to Chases' control and he was doing great.

Chase: Time to land I think.

Skye: Yeah, fuel level is low.

Chase: Dispatch, it's November 0204, requesting to land at Kennedys' International, runway... 04L.

Dispatch: Roger, November 0204, you're clear to land, runway 04L, descend to FL015, heading 038.

Chase: Runway 04L, FL015, heading 038, we're clear to land, November 0204.

Skye: I'm just speechless.

Chase: May you help me with landing?

Skye (giggles): Sure. Throttle at 45% and flaps 10. Turn left to instructed heading smoothly.

4 minutes later

Chase and Skye now were on finish line at landing stage as they were flying at 400 feet attitude, the anthro Shepherd had controls. Little by little they were descending as Skye was counting the height - when she said "100", Chase lifted the nose to make their landing softer and it worked as few moments later they touched the ground and the anthro Cockapoo activated reverse.

40 minutes later

The couple was chilling in their bedroom, wearing their bathing robes after taking shower and having dinner.

Skye: I'm so proud of you, maybe we should fly somewhere together.

Chase: Heh, I actually didn't know that I can fly the plane.

Skye: Hidden talents sometimes can remain hidden, but not on my watch.

Chase (giggles): Oh, shut up.

The couple laughed and snuggled into each other more. Maybe the date wasn't so romantic, but it was really a flight to remember and gave them new opportunities. The end!
