Soul Cycle
Alex had signed all the Pals to a soul cycle. Denis groaned as he was shoved out of the house. Alex always signed them up for an exercise session. He believed that they shouldn't be sitting all day. Elijah grumbled as Alex carried him bridal style.
Screw you, Alex. Denis thought. Like I need exercise. He proved himself wrong as he tripped down the stairs.
At the gym, about 40 exercise bikes were in rows. Each of the pals found a bike and reluctantly stepped up onto the pedals. Elijah had a difficult time getting onto the seat, so Alex helped him up. As Alex did so, Elijah fumbled more due to the fact of how close they were.
"I-I got it, thanks." Elijah stared at the handle-bars. Alex looked at him with a smile, patted his back, and hopped onto his bike.
Denis bested all of them. He was able to pedal to the beat, his height helped him maneuver around, and he barely showed a bit a tiredness. Over and over the instructor kept yelling to him on what a great job he was doing.
Elijah didn't care. He glanced over to Alex, who was working a sweat. Elijah giggled at his tired expression and he admired his (barely) visible muscles. The instructor told the class to ride as if climbing a mountain. Elijah was barely able to do so, but he continued to admire Alex's form.
"All right everyone!" The instructor called, "We have some new people joining us this Sunday—" People began to slow their pace. "—But that's no excuse to rest! We have Alex, Denis, Elijah, Sub..."
The Pals glared at Alex as the lady continued to call out a few names. All Alex did was shrug and gave a crooked smile.
I recently did a soul cycle with my family and I'll never do it again.
