A new day has come which means another day of practice. Luna got up from heard a sound coming from her phone. Apparently someone is calling her early in the morning. She opened her phone to see her best friend Natsu is calling her. Despite her very sleepy state, she answered the call.
"Hello?" She groggily said
"Luna! I've been calling you for the 7th time today!" Natsu said
"Sorry I just got up." Luna replied
"It's fine girl, but you have a lot of explaining to do." Natsu said
"Explaining? What do you mean?" She asks
"What the hell are you doing on TV yesterday? Did you do something yesterday? Why are they saying that you are a part of the Inazuma Japan? Since when did you enter the soccer? How did you get in? What-" Natsu kept rambling a bunch of questions
"Natsu chill. One by one okay? I'll explain everything to you" Luna said
She summarized everything that happened since the day she was called to the principal's office to where she is today. Natsu was most definitely disappointed by the fact that her best friend didn't said anything about this to her till now, but she understood the reason, so she let it go and cheer her on. After the call, she went to the bathroom to fix herself to get ready for morning practice. As promised, she is planning to practice with Tsurugi and Ibuki today. She checked the time on her phone, and she realizes that practice is about to start.
She rushes out of her room, and sprints towards the soccer field. Out of all the members, only Tenma and Aoi were there. She thought that she was late, but she remembered that her mom adjusted her phone thirty minutes late so that she could get up early. Overall, she is kinda pissed and thankful to her mom for doing that.
"Hanatsuki-san! Ohayo!" Tenma called
"Ohayo!" Aoi said
Both of them waved at her as Luna kindly waved back at them as she runs towards them. She immediately stole the ball that Tenma was holding, and began dribbling across the field. Both Tenma and Aoi were surprised by the sudden action, but Tenma rushed to steal the ball back. Apparently luck was on Luna's side as she was able to keep the ball, and she kicks the ball towards the goal.
"Woah that was so cool!" Aoi said
"Thanks. It's just something I usually do as a hobby." Luna replied
"You play soccer?!?!" Tenma asked
"Yeah I've been playing for a long time now." Luna said as both of them looked at her with a elated expression. She could immediately tell that they were happy by the fact that she has experience in playing soccer. She couldn't blame, for the fact that they were chosen with unknown grounds.
"So, what position do you play?" Tenma asks
"Well I personally think I'm a mid-fielder, but I'm honestly not sure. I've never thought about it before. I usually just play with other people with knowing about positions." Luna answered with a lack of confidence
"Oh I see. Let's practice together then, so we could see what position suits you." Tenma suggests
"That would be lovely, but Tsurugi already asked me to join him for practice today. Maybe next practice?" Luna said
"I see. Alright next time then. Hey, let's play soccer while they're still not here!" Tenma said
"Sure. Ummm is it alright if I call you you guys by your first names?" Luna shyly asks both Tenma and Aoi which both happily nodded in reply
Not long after everyone arrived. The trainer gave them a training regimen that they could use for training. He then approached Luna to check on things or more likely to check up on the "competition."
"It seems like you haven't made any progress at all, Hanatsuki-san." Funaki jeered which made her glare daggers straight at him
"What do you know about my training Funaki-san? I'm pretty much sure that you have no idea about who I am. Just you wait Funaki-san...." Luna said as she then looked up towards the sky brimming with confidence
"I will prove to you that coach Kuroiwa chooses us to be victorious!" She then calmly stared at the players and said, "And once I prove it to you, I'll make sure that you will take back your words."
Trainer Funaki on the other seems to be unbothered by that fact, instead he smirk like he is never wrong. He then gave her flash drive that confused her a bit.
"If you're really that confident, then watch this video later on this evening. In there is a video of our first opponent." Luna was shocked when she heard this
"W-why are you giving me this?" She asks
"Just for you see a pigment of reality." He simply answered
"He's completely doubting me." She thought
What they both didn't realize is that there's a certain person who has been eyeing the conversation between them. She hid the flash drive on her pockets, and ran towards Tsurugi and Ibuki. Luna greeted both of them, and immediately began practice. Both Luna and Tsurugi were practicing shoots while Ibuki tries to block them. This training helps them improve their kicking and catching.
Currently most of Luna's shoots goes in, and Ibuki is still having some difficulties to stop Tsurugi's shoots. Overall, it was a nice run. Tsurugi gave her some advice to make her kick stronger.
In the middle of practice, Matatagi's siblings went to practice to see him. The three catch up with each other as Matatagi showed them what he has learned from practice yesterday. Aoi, who is at the side, heard a ring tone from someone's phone. Shindou, who was near the area, heard it as well, and helped her look for the source of the sound. They then heard it louder when they grabbed Luna's bag. Aoi immediately opened the bag, and grabbed the phone. They both checked who the caller was; unfortunately there was no name. It only contains the number of the person.
"Hana-chan! Someone is calling you over the phone!" Aoi called
"I'll be there in a moment." Luna replied as she kicked the ball towards the goal whereas Ibuki barely managed to catch it. She then jog towards Aoi and Shindou, and took the phone from her. She then checked the caller. Despite the phone is only displaying number of the caller, Luna knew who it was.
"Hello. This is Hanatsuki Luna speaking." She said
"Go to the nearest restaurant that you could find. We'll start training today." Kazemaru said
"Wait..Right now?!" Luna asks that confused the two
"Yes. See you there." Kazemaru calmly said as he ended the call
"What the... I need to hurry then." She mumbled
Luna packed her things, and grabbed her water bottle from the side, and ran as quickly as she could. Shindou and Aoi, who were not that far from her, was surprised by her sudden rush of leaving practice. Shindou called, "Hanatsuki-san, where are you going?" Luna barely heard it, and replied to him.
"I just need to go somewhere! I'll be back by dinner! Probably!"
Shindou didn't expect that, and asked what she meant by that. Unfortunately, she is far away to hear that, and didn't reply to his question. As that was happening, everyone heard the commotion, and observed the situation. Tenma, the captain, approached both Shindou and Aoi.
"What happened here?" Tenma asks the two of them
"I don't know. Luna had a call from someone then she started packing her stuff, and leave." Aoi said
"Who called her?" Tenma asks
"We don't know. The two of us checked her phone, but it only displayed the number of the caller not the name." Shindou said while the things Luna said was still on his mind, "What did she mean by that? Is she trying to abandon practice?"
"I see. Let's just ask her later." Tenma said, and they both agreed to carry on with practice.
Meanwhile Luna ran to the first restaurant that she could see. It was a small japanese restaurant that you can easily find in other areas. Without any hesitation, she went inside. The moment she stepped inside, her blue and pink orbs met with a pair of brown orbs. She already knew that he was there waiting for his student.
"You're quite fast, and hardly out of breath. I'm glad you found this restaurant immediately without any problems." Kazemaru said
He then took a peek from phone, and looked back at her. He stood up, and told her to follow him. He guided her to a field near the riverbank.
"Alright before we start, let me ask you one thing." He said as he turned around to face me, and put of his hands on his waist. He then asks her, "What position do you play?"
"Well I-" She tries to speak, but words won't come out.
"I already answered this question when the others asked me. Why can't I answer it now?" She thought
This question has been repeatedly asked to her by different people, yet she still hasn't found the right answer for it. Luna usually answers something being a midfielder or a forward that she's still not sure about. She then realized that she's been avoiding this question this whole time. Her life was all about her talent in performing arts. She never expected in her life to become an official soccer player who is representing the world on top of that. She is frustrated and confused about her choices.
In the end, she looks down as she couldn't utter a word to answer his question. Kazemaru, on the other hand, saw her reaction, and knew that she's troubled by it.
"Its alright if you can't answer it. Today I want you to try out all positions." He said
Luna look up, and met his gaze with her surprised ones. She wonders, " Why would I need to try out all of them?" Then again she has no right to complain. She simply nodded in reply hoping there's a purpose to do such thing. Both of them went to their place on each side of the field. She suddenly tensed up when she just realized that she's going to be playing soccer with an idol of hers that made her completely nervous. Kazemaru immediately notice the hetero girl's sudden nervousness towards him.
"No need to be nervous Hanatsuki. You can treat in any way you're comfortable with." He assured
She was happy to hear that from him- no elated is a better word for it...
"Then... Can I call you (1)shisho?!" Luna suddenly blurted out
Kazemaru was surprised and flustered by her sudden question. He didn't know how to react to that. Luna suddenly realized what she had said. She instinctively covered her mouth with both of her hands, and become really flustered.
"I'm really really really sorry!! I shouldn't have asked that question! That was really foolish of me to say that to someone like you. I should've just-" The purple haired continues on rambling her apology which Kazemaru finds it rather amusing as he chuckles at her rambling that caught her off guard
"If you really want to call me that, then its fine." Kazemaru reassured her as the girl sighs in relief
"Now shall we begin?" He asks Luna
Her eyes lit up as she replied, " Yes shisho!"
_°~•~•~•~•~°_
Few have passed, and tomorrow is the first match against Korea. These past few days Luna only trained with Kazemaru twice, and ever since then, he hasn't called her for another practice. Luna hoped to be able to train with him today since tomorrow is the day, so she asks him through text.
~Luna~: Shisho! R U free today? is it alright that we train today???
She patiently waited for his response. She's currently on the cafeteria eating breakfast. Minaho, who had asked her to eat together on the same table, has been eyeing her movements lately. He noticed that during these past few days she's keeps looking at her bag in different scenarios. Whether it is in the middle of practice, meal times, or in their free time.
The whole team has been curious about her actions and her as a whole. Tenma approaches the two Tengawara students, and asks them if it's alright for him to join them which they both nodded in reply.
"Luna. There's something I've been meaning to ask you as the captain of this team, is it alright?" He asks
"Sure what is it?" Luna said as she took a bite from her food
"Where did you go when you left in the middle of practice that time?" He asks
"I've been wondering about that as well." Minaho commented
"Oh that well..." she trailed off as she motions them to lean closer to her
"I've been getting help from someone." She whispered to them
The two didn't expect that kind of response from her which made them a lot more curious. They kept asking her more, and more questions about it. This somewhat reminded her of her conversation with Natsu earlier in the morning, and she didn't want something like that again. Luna decided to tell the two about Kazemaru (not including the whole deal). No one said that she isn't allowed to tell anyone about it, but to be she made two swore to secrecy in which they both complied.
DING!
Luna received a reply from Kazemaru! She opened her phone, and took a peek on his reply.
(Kazemaru) Shisho!! : Sorry Luna I'm a bit busy today. The next time we meet is the day you finally have your answer to my question. Till then, practice with your teammates! Good luck in the match tomorrow!
She closed her phone, and put it on her pocket. The question was once brought back to her. It may seem dumb to some people, but to her it was something that requires a lot of thinking. Last night, she finally decided to check the contents inside the flash drive that Funaki gave her. She watched the video of her opponents. She knew that people don't get better within a few days which is why she tries harder than anyone to catch up, but she's aware of the reality that they're strong, and she wouldn't be able to defeat them with what she has at the moment.
"How am I supposed to prove myself when I don't even know where I should place myself in the field." She muttered to herself
This sometimes made her lose focus miss the ball during practice. The Raimon boys immediately noticed it, and they worry for the hetero girl who seems to have something on her mind. Tenma and Tsurugi immediately approach her to ask her what's on her mind.
Tsurugi placed a hand on her to catch her attention, "Hanatsuki-san? You okay? You seem to be bothered by something?"
She shook her head and said, "I'm fine. I just have something in my mind." This made the made even more worried for the girl. Not long after practice ended because they were to told to rest for the match tomorrow. Luna was about to head out to get some fresh air with a soccer ball on her hands
"Luna!" Tenma called which made her halt, and turned to toward the direction where the voice was heard. She saw Tenma and Tsurugi whom are indicating to wait for them.
"What are you guys doing here? I thought you guys were with Shindou-san?" Luna asked
"We were, but Coach Kuroiwa wanted to talk to him." Tsurugi confirmed
"I see... Do you guys want to join me" She shyly asks
"Of course we want to join!" Tenma happily replied as Tsurugi nooded in agreement
They then head out towards the field, and played soccer till they're tired. The duo could tell how much she loves soccer, but something's bugging her. When they were done playing, they went somewhere a bit far, but they can still see the field. They watch sunset. Luna had forgotten when was the last she watched the sunset. She's been too occupied with soccer that she has forgotten to relax even for a bit.
"Hantsuki-san-"
"You can call me Luna or Hana, Tsurugi."She informs him
"Alright well... is there actually something wrong?" He asks Luna who seems to be deep in thought
Tenma taps her shoulder that made her flinch, "Luna?" Tenma called. She looked to her to see Tenma's face filled with concern towards her. Luna felt really bad, for making them worry about her. She knows that she has to tell them.
"So basically, you're having a hard finding out what position do you play in the field?" Tsurugi asks
Luna nodded in reply slightly embarrassed about what she explained to them, "I know its just a thoughtless question, but its been bugging me about my very purpose of being in this team."
The two were surprised to hear this from her. Throughout these few of knowing about their teammates, they both find her as someone who is filled with motivation and dedication with her work, so seeing them like this really concerns them as they reminded them of their selves from the past during their time back at Raimon. Nevertheless, they remained silent as they listen to her enigma.
"I already know that my place here in this is not properly judged by coach Kuroiwa, but he told me that I am the one he needed to be a part of this team just like how he chose everyone else here."
Luna stared of the distance to see the bright sunset, "I want to believe in my own abilities, so I had a disagreement with Funaki-san."
This statement surprised the two. They were both confused, and curious on how and when did it happened, "What did you mean by that, Luna?" Tsurugi asks. She turned her head to face the two,"I made a deal with him- no we made a deal with him" She said. Luna then turned back to the view not wanting them to see her face.
"What do you mean by we?" Tenma asks
"Funaki-san complained to me about us being a part of team, and he wanted to change the members starting with me. I argued back at him which led to Kuroiwa-san and few more people arriving at the scene, and made a deal. If I mess up the first match tomorrow, they will change both the coach and the members of the team." Luna explained
"Change both the coach and the members?!" Tenma and Tsurugi thought
"I don't want that to happen. No matter how I got here in this team no longer bothers me anymore. What matters to me now is that I'm here to play soccer, and win the championship to prove my right to be in this team despite of who I am." Luna said as tear fell out of her
The two never thought about how much burden did she carry this whole time. They regret for not noticing it; if they actually know about this, they could've help her a long time ago. To them, they believe that they fail as a teammate, as a captain, and as a friend. They didn't know what to say to her at the moment, but what they didn't know was that someone else has been listening this whole time.
"Then just play soccer like you mean it."
All three of them turned to owner of the voice. It was Minaho.
"You never really need to prove anything honestly. As someone who has seen you play in a match, I know that you deserve your spot in this team. Don't think about what he says about you. Just like you said, were all chosen for a reason. You may be a performer, but that doesn't mean you can't be a soccer player as well, you know." Minaho said in calm and comforting tone
Tenma then stood up, and placed himself to the left of Minaho,"He's right! Just be yourself, and play like how you usually play besides, out of all us here, we know that you put the most effort out of everyone in this team. Even more than me!"
"Tenma... Minaho..."Luna was slowly about to tear up as Tsurugi then stood to the right Minaho, "If you're worried about your position, then explore it. Play soccer in all kinds of positions. The answer to the question that has been bugging you will come at the right time."
Tenma then pulls his hand toward Luna,"Come on! Let's play soccer!"
Luna wipes her tears, and happily took Tenma's hand as he pulls her up. The wind blows calmly as they watch sunset set, admiring the beauty of the sight before them.
(Insert photo of Luna watching the sunset.)

The day of the match has arrived. The battle between Japan's Inazuma Japan and Korea's Fire Dragon will commence after the opening ceremony.
"Today's the day, huh?" Luna muttered
Funaki then approached her, and tapped her shoulder, "I'll be looking forward to your performance today, Hanatsuki-san." He taunted. Both of them glared at each other. The three who knew about the deal noticed it, and decided to call her to get ready.
Everyone head to the changing rooms. The Raimon boys, and Luna were able to finish changing in a short amount of time. Luna decided to explore the area while Tenma decided to approach Shindou to convince him to fight as team. As a captain, he knew he has do something about especially with what happened yesterday. He will do everything that he could to convince him.
"Shindou-san!" Tenma called
Shindou turned to face him, "What?"
"U-Um.. They're not powerful enough, but... I think we should fight with these members as a team after all!" Tenma said

Note: The term shisho means "master." Luna addresses him like that a way to call him his teacher. To her the word sensei, which means teacher, doesn't suit him, so she prefer calling him shisho rather than anything else.
