Foot steps and knocking- Miya 💀

Langa and Reki were on their way to Miya's, they were to practice skating over an hour ago, but he never showed so they went go him themselves.

Miya on the other hand, was in his room playing games. His parents had forbid him from going skating because his last set of grades were absolutely horrendous.
He felt like he'd studied enough, but still failed so now he just felt worthless.
Suddenly he perked up, footsteps.

He had taught himself to study and memorize footsteps and knocking patterns in order to instantly recognize who was at the door and get a general idea of their mood so could know if it was safe to open his door or better for him to pretend to be asleep.

Though these were unrecognizable, they were firm, sporadic and a little aggressive, yet the knocking was calm and gentle, even timid almost.
Miya pulled his hoodie over his head and laid on his bed, curling into a ball and shaking. He was scared. He wanted whatever or whoever it was to go away.

Tears formed and began rolling down his cheeks as a different knock pattern, also unrecognizable. Yet these closely matched the footsteps from earlier.

"Miya, open up!"

The voice was muffled, both by the door and Miya's panic, the small boy gripped his hair tightly. He recognized the voice, he knew he did, but his breathing was unstable and all train of thought was fuzzy. Choking on a sob, Miya hugged his knees for comfort.

"Miya, we wanna skate already!"

Skate....Skate....Skate.

Reki!
The voice was Reki's! In an instant Chinen unlocked his door and opened it, throwing himself at Langa and Reki who were both standing in the doorway. His sobbing dialed down while he clung to them both, his tears staining their shirts slightly.

"Where are mom and dad?"

Reki pat Miya's back awkwardly, honestly really confused,
"They left right after we came, they seemed pretty mad."

Miya tightened his grip, if they were mad it wouldn't end well for him later when they got home. Who knew what they would do to him. The thought scared him terribly, but what could he do?
Before he knew it the small cat boy was sobbing again, sandwiched in a hug between his friends. Sure; they didn't really know what was going on with him but they could not leave him alone like this.

"How about we don't skate today, cmon Miya. We're going to the arcade, you can stay over with me and Langa at his house tonight."

Miya looked up, a pathetic and desperate expression which you'd never think to see from someone like him sat on his face,
"You sure?"

Langa nodded standing and helping them up, "Mom will be happy I made a friend so she won't mind."

He agreed and the three packed Miya's things and left his parents a little note. If Miya wasn't happy there Reki and Langa were taking him away, even if his just for a night.
