Chapter 1: Questions

~Six's POV~

It's getting stronger... I can't let him know it's still here, I can't let him see it...I haven't been outside in a while, I haven't seen him... I miss him... but I can't let him see me like this. The doorbell was fait, but still noticeable. I ignored. I knew who it was. I sat down beside the door. "Six?" His voice was so soothing... I can't respond though. I opened the mailslot and looked out at him. I knew he saw my eyes.

~Seven's POV~

Six's eyes appeared in the mailslot. They held a sad, scared look in them. "Are you okay, Six?" I asked softly. She hesitated, but nodded slowly. I knew she was lying. I want to see her so badly. "Will you come out for a bit?" She shook her head quickly. I crouched down to her level and looked into her beautiful brown orbs. The slot closed and I could hear the scratching of a pen. Soon, a small note fell out of the mailslot. "I can't come out right now, I don't feel well," it read. Her eyes appeared again and watched as I read the note. "Can I come in?" She shook her head again. "Why won't you use your voice?"I asked staring into her eyes. Another note popped out. "Lost my voice." She continued to peer into my Prussian blue eyes. I sighed and slipped the notes into my pocket as I stood. "I'll be back in an hour, Six, I hope you're feeling better by then." I said, my voice filled with concern. I walked home with questions swarming my mind.

~Six's POV~

I wish I could have let him in. I walked to my room and fell on the bed in exhaustion. It didn't take long for sleep to set in. I knew I'd have another dream less sleep. Oh well...
