Henry Samuel Dei Winchester
Hours later, Dean sat watching his son wiggling happily in Cas' arms.
"Baby, can I hold him?" He asked softly, smiling.
"Oh! Yes, I'm sorry! Here, my love." She carefully handed the baby to Dean, who cradled him in his arms.
"He's… so perfect."
"I know, my love. I can't believe he's ours." Cas said, blinking tears out of her eyes.
"Are we going to tell them his name yet?"
"When everyone gets here."
"Ok, do you want anything? I could ask the nurse to bring you food or an extra blanket, or something."
Cas laughed.
"Dean, I'm fine! Calm down."
Dean smiled, and rolled his eyes, kissing his son's forehead.
The baby smiled back, and reached for Dean's face.
"Hey little guy! What's up?" Dean asked, and the baby gurgled.
Dean turned around just in time to see Sam, Gabriel, and Hanna walk into the room.
"Hey." Sam grinned.
"Hey guys! This is the baby."
Dean and Cas shared a look, and a second later, Cas spoke up.
"His name is Henry Samuel Dei Winchester." She told them, smiling.
"Can I hold him, Dad?" Hanna asked Dean.
He nodded and handed Henry to her.
"Wow." She said, tickling his toes, "He's so small."
"I know… Sam, can I talk with you?"
"Sure."
The two brothers walked out of the room.
"Hey, you ok?" Sam asked, giving him puppy eyes.
"Yeah, I just… I can't believe I have kids, Sammy. It feels like it was just yesterday that I gave you the last bowl of Lucky Charms."
"That was yest… Was that a…"
Dean grinned, giving himself away.
"Jerk!"
"That was hilarious and you know it, Bitch."
"A dad joke. You pulled me into the hallway for a dad joke."
"Actually no, I wanted to ask you a few things. First, Cas suggested that we ask you and Gabriel to be Henry's godfathers, and I decided I also wanted you to be Hanna's,"
Sam tackled his older brother in a hug.
"I wasn't expecting that. Maybe I shouldn't ask you the other thing! You might kill me!"
Sam pulled back, rolling his eyes.
"Moment over. I'd love to be their godfather. Now ask the other thing" He said.
"Ok, ok, ok! Sam, I want you to be my best man."
"Dean, of course." Sam's eyes went soft. "So, you've been planning it?" He asked.
He wanted to tell him about his engagement, but he and Gabe had agreed not to tell anyone until after a little while.
"Yeah, Cas is letting me have wedding pie! We almost have the whole thing done!"
"Wedding pie? Wow, Dean, I think you're getting married to your soulmate."
"I know! Crazy, right?" Dean sighed happily. "I'm getting married, Sammy, I have kids and I'm getting married! I'm marrying Cas!"
Sam smiled.
"I know, I'm proud of you. You deserve this."
"You deserve to be happy too, Sammy." Dean said quietly, and Sam laughed.
"I know, I'm working on it. Let's get back in there with everyone else. Mom should be here soon."
"Ok, I want to hold Henry anyway."
The brothers walked back in, where Cas and Gabriel were talking and laughing, and Hanna was smiling and talking to her little brother.
Henry yawned and smiled sleepily. He had Cas' sparkling blue, gem-like eyes, which he blinked happily.
When Dean walked over to them, Henry cooed and reached out for him.
"Can I…?"
Hanna nodded and handed him the baby.
"I can't believe I have a half brother." She said.
Cas stopped talking, and she and Dean shared a look.
"Hanna… I know we aren't very close, but Dean and I talked, and we'll, I know I can't replace your mother or anything, but I want… I want you to know that even if I wasn't marrying Dean soon I consider you as much my daughter as I consider Henry my son." She finished, looking at her lap.
She heard footsteps and someone hugged her. Cas held on to her daughter, gently running her fingers through her hair. Dean sat on the other side of Cas, handing the baby to her, and joining the hug.
Sam and Gabe smiled and left the room together to give them some privacy, and to steal a few minutes to themselves.
A few minutes later, they were kissing in the hall outside when they heard someone cough. They launched in opposite directions, both men looking toward the source of the interruption and blushing.
"Hey, mom."
"Hey, Mrs. Winchester."
They said in unison.
They glanced at each other and blushed harder, before looking back at Mary, who was silently laughing.
"Should I be expecting more grandkids soon? And Gabriel, sweetheart, you can call me Mary or mom if you like."
She winked at her boys, and walked in Cas' room.
Sam smiled shyly and closed the space between them.
"So, what do you think? About kids?" He asked, wrapping his arms around his fiancé's waist.
"I think…" Gabe kissed him softly. "I think I'd love that, but maybe we should wait until we get back home, sweetness."
He smirked and pulled away, pulling Sam into the room with him.
Mary was hugging Dean, and congratulating him and Cas.
"I called Jody on the way down, but she and Alex both have work early tomorrow and Claire's on a hunt in New Mexico, so they'll be down in a few days. Bobby and Ellen are going to be here tomorrow morning and we're all going to drive back to the salvage yard back with you and then, I am going to take everyone out for lunch and keep them busy so you can rest. I remember it taking a week to get my hospital bag put away when I had Dean, because people kept coming by!" She said, and Cas laughed.
"Thank you so much, Mary. Would you like to hold Henry?"
"I'd love to. The last baby I held was Sam. I can't believe I have a grandbaby." Mary sighed happily.
Car's eyes darkened for a second until she finally handed her son over to her mother-in-law. She wasn't happy to be reminded of what was to come, but she let it go. She could worry about that a different day. Today was her baby's day, and nothing was going to ruin that.
