The next day I take the bus to the free clinic. I don't have money for a pregnancy test and I damn sure wasn't gonna ask my sister for any money.
I walk into the clinic and sign in.

"Miss. Jones." the nurse calls
I get knots in my stomach as I walk to the back and into the exam room.
"What are you here for Ms.Jones?" she asks me
"Ummm..pregnancy test." I say quietly
"Ok. Get undressed, put this gown on and then urinate into the cup in the bathroom down the hall." she tells me.
"Oh, ok."

I do as she says and return to the exam room. The waiting is killing me. After about 15 minutes the doctor comes in the room.
"Miss. Jones?" she asks
"Yes." I reply. My stomach is doing flip flops and my hands are sweating.
"Well...congratulations. You are pregnant." she says smiling to me

Holy sh**! How can she smile at me!! Fu**! What am I gonna tell Emerald?

"Here are some prenatal vitamins to get you started. I need to do an ultrasound to confirm it. Lie back for me." she says
I lie down on the table.
"Ok, put your feet in the stirups and drop your knees." she says
I do as she says
"Ok, this might hurt a little." she says as she grabs a wand looking thing off the ultrasound cart. She inserts it into my va**** and I shut my eyes tight. It does hurt.

"Just relax Miss. Jones." she tells me as she turns on the ultrasound machine.
"Here's your baby." She says as she points to a bean looking thing on the screen.
"There's the heartbeat. Looks like you're about 2 months along." she says
I look over at the screen and I feel instant love.

She prints out a picture.
"This is for you. Do you have any questions?" she asks me
"Yes...umm..Can I still have sex?" I ask embarassed. I ask because I know how Michael is.

"Yes you can, up until the final months if you want to." she says
"Ok."
"Congratulations again. You can get dressed now." she says to me taking the wand out of me.

I get dressed and take the bus back to my house. Em's not home, thank God she's at work. I pick up the phone and call Michael, my hands are shaking.

"Hey babe." he says
"Hey. Umm...can you come over? My sister's not home, I wanna see you." I ask
"Yeah, sure. I wanna see you too. I'll be there in a little bit." he says
I hang up the phone still trembling. I hope he doesn't freak out too much.

30 minutes later the door bell rings and I jump. I go to the door and open it. He's standing there looking so fine. He smiles at me and I fake a smile back.
He hugs me.

"You're trembling. What's wrong?" he asks me looking concerned.
"Lets go in the living room." I say. He follows me in there and we sit on the couch.
"What's the matter? Are you? Are you pregnant?" he asks me looking nervous.
I nod my head yes and instantly start crying. All of a sudden it hits me hard. He hugs me.

"Jade...we'll deal with it. It will be ok. The baby will have the best life. Anything she wants, I can get." he says rubbing my back
"I'm sorry Michael. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have lied to you." I say through tears.
"Baby...things happen for a reason. Obviously this baby is meant to be." he says to me breaking the hug. He lifts my head up and looks into my eyes.

"I love you Jade. Knowing that you're carrying my baby makes me love you even more. You are so sexy to me right now." he says to me biting his bottom lip. Gets to me every time. I love this man.
He pulls me close and kisses me deeply and passionately. I sigh in his mouth.

"Ummm. Did the doctor say you can still have sex?" he asks as he bites that bottom lip again.

I laugh. I know my man!

"I knew you would wanna know so I asked her. Yes, she said its ok right up until the final months." I say
"Good." he says smiling to me. With that he picks me up off the couch and carries me upstairs to my bedroom

Michael's POV:

I take her up to her room and make love to her sweetly and gently. I can't believe she's having my baby. I wanna make a life with this girl. We lay there in each other's arms in her bed.

"Jade, umm..do you wanna live with me?" I ask her. What the hell? Don't know where that came from? I guess I wanna take care of her now that she's having my baby.

"What? At Havenhurst?" she asks

"No. We can get a place of our own. You can be home schooled. We can raise the baby together." I say

"What about Em. I need to tell her I'm pregnant." she says
"Do you want me here when you tell her?" I ask
"I'm afraid Michael." she says
"She's gonna find out sooner or later." I say
I move down in the bed to her stomach and kiss it.
"Hey there baby. I love you." I say to her belly as I rub it. She puts her hand on top of mine.

Jade's POV:

He's right. Em's gonna find out sooner or later. Might as well be now. I really love him. I can see he loves our baby already. I can't believe he asked me to move with him. How can I say no?

"So you wanna live with me or not?" he asks
"Yes. I do." I say
He comes back up to me in the bed and hugs me.
"Come on lets get showered and dressed and pack some of your things. I want you to come back with me to Havenhurst for the time being until we find our own place." he says

I stay at Havenhurst the rest of the night and return back home with Michael the next day to tell Emerald the news.
We walk in the house and she's in the kitchen making breakfast. I'm beyond nervous..

"Hey Jade. Michael? What are you doing here?" she asked looking surprised when she spots Michael walking behind me.
"Em, I have to tell you something. Promise you won't freak out?" I say
"Can't promise that but, What is it?" she asks looking confused and a little mad already.

"I'm pregnant." I say looking at the floor.
"What!!? What did I tell you Jade! I told you I'm not taking care of any babies! Who's the daddy?" she asks

We stay silent. Michael and I look at each other. She looks at the both of us.

"Oh hell no!!! Are you fu***** kidding me?! He's the father?!" she yells coming towards me. Michael steps in the middle of us.

"Emerald! She's pregnant! You can't hit her!" Michael says holding her arms
"You need to get the fu** off me Michael! You son of a bi***!" she screams

"How could you Jade! You knew I liked him! How could you betray me like this?!" she yells at me as tears roll down her face.

"I'm sorry Emerald. Things just happened. I realize now how much I hurt you. But...I'm moving out and moving in with him. You won't have to deal with raising my baby." I say to her

"Good! You better move out! You didn't think I'd let you live here with a baby did you?" she says to me. She calms down a little bit.

"Ok Jade. You think you're grown now, I'll emancipate you. You can be officially on your own. There's no need for me to be your guardian anymore. Let him take care of you now." she says to me.

"I'm sorry it ended up this way Emerald." Michael says to her.

"Just don't say anything to me, ok." Get the f***out Michael." she says to him
"Lets go Michael." I say to him.
"I still love you Em." I say to her as I walk out.
She says nothing back to me as I close the front door.
We walk outside to his car.

"Well that went well." I say sarcastically
"She's hurt Jade. Give her some time. She'll eventually forgive you. Come on, lets go home." he says to me as he opens the car door for me.

I get in the car. Before we pull off, I look at the house one last time and see Emerald looking out the window at us. She mouths "I love you" to me as she touches the window pane. I start to cry and mouth the same to her. "I love you Em"
