The people of Venus refer to themselves as the Sollites. Approximately 400 years ahead of Earth development-wise.

Nearly 400 years ago, the Sollites discovered irrefutable evidence of life on their lush sister planet. Since then, they've studied them as their own civilization grew and advanced. They saw a very resilient civilization of people who couldn't be held down or tempered.

20 years after the discovery, this region of space was torn apart by a long, bloody war between the Fosch and the Hidelli; the Sollites opened negotiations with the Fosch in which the system was granted their protection from the Hidelli, who were bent on conquering as many pre-space-age worlds as they could.

By the time the war was over, the Sollites had developed long-distance space travel. Unfortunately, the Hidelli had won the war, and wanted Earth, as it was still only an industrial-age civilization. There was much discourse among the Sollites about what to do about this situation; many said that it wasn't their business what happened to Earth; still others said it was their duty to protect their sister planet from the Hidelli's grasp. In the end, they decided to protect it.

In Earth Year 1973, the Sollite president, Yogzo-Apra-Vodama, approved a project proposed by a team of scientists led by Pacro-Zidi-Mo'el to observe the people of Earth more closely.

Pacro-Mo'el's plan was to send several groups of Sollites to live among the Earthlings- secretly, of course; they would use disguises so the Earthlings would be none the wiser.

In Earth Year 1975, 8 groups of 20 adult Sollites were strategically placed in different places around the globe; suburban towns, generally, to avoid too many questions.

The groups were spread out in 8 different nations which the Sollites believed to be significant parts of Earth's future: the United States of America, China, Russia, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, India, and Chile.

This roleplay is about the American group, who have woven themselves into the fabric of a small marshy town called Chorusville, Louisiana. Over the past few decades, they've married among themselves, with many of these marriages producing children.

Most of the Humans living in Chorusville are completely ignorant of the group's true identities. However, over the years, a few have become aware and sworn not to tell anyone.
