Eliza POV

The next day you got up and went straight to the theater, seeing as Lin wanted everyone there at 10. I grabbed a hot chocolate and a bagel from a cart on 5th avenue on my way over and got out at the Public Theater. When I arrived I sat next to Anthony and Daveed backstage in the chair circle. Once everyone was seated, we all introduced ourselves and what part we had. 

"Hi I'm Daveed Diggs, I play Lafayette and Jefferson."

"Hi, I'm Eliza Ramos and I'm in the ensemble and I'm main understudy for Lafayette and Jefferson."

"Yo I'm Anthony Ramos, as you can guess I'm Eliza's brother and I play John Laurens and Philip Hamilton."

"I'm Lin, but you all probably know me. I play ALEXANDER HAMILTON!" he sang the last part to what I assumed was the tune of one of the songs.

"I'm Renee Elise Goldsberry and I play Angelica Schuyler."

"I'm Phillipa Soo, but call me Pippa or Pip. I play Eliza Schuyler Hamilton."

"I'm Jasmine Cephas Jones, call me Jazzy. I play Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds."

"I'm Leslie Odom Jr. and I play Aaron Burr."

The introductions went on and on until it came back to Daveed and Lin stood up. 

"Ok y'all. Time to show you how the songs go. This should be fun." He proceeded to do a maniacal laugh and we all scooted back a little bit. I got up and turned to Ant. 

"I guess we go find out why he's laughing."

"I'm nervous." he said with a shudder. "When Lin does that, it means there's something he's not telling you that's gonna make you freak out."

"Thanks for the warning man." said Daveed as he got up. 

"Hey, it's Daveed right. I'm Anthony. Nice to meet you."  he reached out his hand so Daveed could shake it. 

"Nice to meet you Anthony. You're Eliza's brother, right." He said nodding at me.

"Yup. Now lets go see what this musical actually sounds like. I'm kind of scared." He said and me and Daveed cracked up laughing. We went to the stage and he had us listen to the first song and we were surprised to find out it was really faster and involved rap in some parts. By the time we got to a song called Guns and Ships, I was really wondering what else could be as amazing as the rest the musical. When Lin began rapping, me and Daveed paled knowing we had to learn to do that. Anthony just laughed at our expressions and posted a pic on twitter. 

After we finished listening to half of the musical, Lin said we could go home for the day, but some of us decided to meet for lunch. We decided on Chipotle (yum) and we all got into our cars and got on our way. When me and Ant arrived, there was one table open and we sat down. Then Daveed showed up and sat with us. We told Ant what we wanted since he volunteered to go get the food. So that left me and Daveed alone.

Daveed POV

When Anthony left to got food, I knew that was my chance to ask her. I sat up straighter in my chair and tried (unsuccessfully) to fix my hair.

"So, um. How are you?" 

"I'm alright. What about you?"

"I'm good. Hey, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to meet up for lunch or coffee one of these days?" I prepared myself for rejection as she opened her mouth to speak.

"Sure! I'd love to. What about this Saturday?"

"Of course. Does noon work?"

"Yup. I never have anything to do on Saturday's so this will be a great change." I was too stunned to speak again. She actually said yes?! Why would a girl like her say yes to a guy like me? I shook the thought away since Anthony came back with the food and just decided to be happy about it.
