Eliza POV

A week later I was in a Starbucks getting coffee when somebody walked up and tapped me on the shoulder.

"Yes?" I turned around to see who it was and I was surprised to see Daveed, the guy from auditions. "Oh! Hey Daveed. Funny seeing you here. How have you been." 

"Good. Hey, I thought I should tell you that audition results are going up tonight at 4. A friend told me, so I thought you should know. Hope you got the part. Honestly."

"Aw, thanks. But you did amazing. I've never seen anyone rap that fast. How'd you learn how to do that?" 

He chuckled. "Lots of practice. Doing tongue twisters and reading Dr. Seuss books helps." (A/N: This actually does help.)

"Well. It was really nice talking to you, maybe I'll see you again later." I said as I grabbed my coffee and walked outside. 

Daveed POV

As she walked away, I mentally scolded myself for not asking her out. Dammit Diggs, you need to work on your conversation skills. I ordered my coffee and walked back to my car.

Eliza POV

That night, I sat on my couch with Anthony staring at my phone waiting for Lin to send out the audition results. All of the sudden, my phone pinged and Anthony scooted over and we saw the list and I read aloud.

"Alexander Hamilton- Lin Manuel Miranda. Cool. Aaron Burr- Leslie Odom Jr., Hercules Mulligan/James Madison- Okieriete Onaodowan, John Laurens/Philip Hamilton..." I paused and smirked at Ant. "Anthony Ramos! Congrats bro! Ok, Marquis de Lafayette/ Thomas Jefferson," I saw the name and smiled. "Daveed Diggs."

"Sorry, sis. I know you wanted the part." Ant said as he patted my shoulder.

"It's fine. Daveed deserved it." I skipped to the understudy and ensemble part of the list. "Well, I did get into the ensemble and I'm the main understudy for Lafayette/Jefferson." I squealed. "I actually got in!" 

"Congrats Liza. That's great. How about we call mom and tell her the good news?" 

After a very long conversation with mom (and lots of mom being wayyyyy too excited about both her babies getting theater parts) , I kicked Ant out so I could get some sleep before we had to go to the theater tomorrow morning to meet everyone. I fell asleep, excited to be able to make my Broadway debut.
