Fuck you, it takes place in Florida now.

We are humans, living by the ocean in the town of Copper-Waves. Why was it called Copper-Waves? Well, that's because of the copper colored sand, and also because there's alot of copper.

This town used to be a tourist spot, due to the pretty sand and awesome ocean view. It still is a tourist spot, but people are advised to not go near the water, especially at night. Because at night, there are Sirens. You know, the mermaids that eat sailors? Well, a few years ago, like, 5, they've appeared on the rocks near the shore. They've been luring people in with their sickeningly sweet songs.

Sure, yeah, swimming in the day is fine, but only during the midday hours. They've started appearing at sunrise and sunset. We don't know how many there are, but what I do know is that "They need to go, so that's why I modified a harpoon-gun!"

The teacher sighed. "Yes, we know this Uzi, they need to go, but you can't do anything about it, unless you're deaf. To be honest, I think you are, as you clearly don't hear me when I give instructions for assignments."

The class snickered. Some straight up laughed.

Uzi looked down, ashamed. "So uh, what was the assignment?"

The teacher just rolled his eyes. "Does it matter? You've clearly gotten a zero. Why don't you just head down to the office?"

Uzi grumbled and walked out, her modified harpoon-gun dragging against the floor behind her.
