《SPECIAL CHAPTERS - 2. NOT SO NOBLE HOUSE 》
A loud noise of glass shattering woke up Sirene from her slumber, she rubbed her eyes groggily before sitting up alarmed by the sound, it had come from Sirius's room, which was right next to hers, she sighed before slipping on a hoodie and walking up to his room.
"You filthy blood traitor!" Walburga Black screeched looking at her son who rolled his eyes with a bored expression on his face, "How dare you try to sneak out?!"
"Mother?" Sirene asked with her brows furrowed as she stared at the two of them arguing once again, "What's happening?"
Walburga stared at her daughter, she was wearing a hoodie over a nightgown with her hair all messed up and eyes swollen because of the lack of sleep.
"Mommy?" A six year old Sirene made her way to Walburga Black sitting on the couch with her head in her hands, "What's happening?"
"Oh, sorry darling" Walburga said wiping a tear from her face, "Did I wake you?" She picked up Sirene, setting her on her lap.
"Yeah" Sirene said playing with her fingers, "Why are you crying?"
"Your brother" Walburga said tightening her hold on the girl in her lap, "He's gone out of the house without telling us again"
"That's not very good"
"Your brother" Walburga whispered, her voice wavering a bit before the hard glare made it's way on her face again, "He was trying to sneak off to those blood traitors again"
"Welp" Sirene said with a shrug, "Can't blame him"
"I know right?" Sirius rolled his eyes at her mother who seemed to turn red with anger.
"You're lucky your father isn't here, boy" Walburga seethed closing Sirius's window, "He wouldn't be so happy about it all"
"He isn't happy about anything" Sirene said leaning on the doorframe, "Like ever"
"Yeah, that's called borderline depression"
"No, I think he's just a bitter bitch"
"Watch it, both of you!" Walburga said throwing both of them a glare, she pressed the bridge of her nose with her fingers and sat down on the bed.
"Right" Sirene said looking around with a emotionless face, "If you're all done, I'm gonna go catch up on my beauty sleep"
"Night!" Sirius said waving at her before taking his trunk and his broom in his other hand.
"Sirius Orion Black" Walburga screeched at her second oldest child, "Sit the fuck down"
"You don't own me, mother" Sirius said opening the window and giving her mother a shrug.
"If you walk out right now" Walburga said to her older son with a shaky voice, "You're no longer going to have a place in this house"
Sirius's and Sirene's stomach dropped at that, Sirius stared at her in disbelief. Sirene chuckled nervously at the scene in front of her.
"You're kidding, right?" Sirene said looking between her mother and her brother, "Mother?"
"I'm not" Walburga said looking right in her son's eyes, "If you walk out right now, you can't come back"
"Wow" Sirius said blankly, tears clouding his eyes, "That's....wow"
"Sirius" Sirene said her grey eyes holding the same emotion as her brother, "Think about this"
Sirene knew it was selfish of her to want Sirius to stay but she didn't want her brother to leave. She knew he was treated badly, but she couldn't live without him, hell, she'd never actually lived without him.
From birthdays to first days, it had always been him and her, and she didn't know how to function with just her. It had always been Sirius and Sirene Black, never Sirius Black and Sirene Black.
She felt like the air got knocked out of her chest, she stared at her brother who's cheeks were wet with tears that he hastily wiped, she then stared at her mother who had a stern gaze.
Sirius looked at her mother and then nodded before starting to walk downstairs, Sirene followed swiftly after. Racing down the stairs looking at Sirius with a confused expression.
"Sirius?" Sirene called out as her brother paid no attention to her, walking downstairs, "Sirius?!"
Walburga Black followed after them, Regulus walking out of his room with a concerned expression on his face, staring the scene before him.
"Mother?" Sirene turned around to look at her mother who had a blank expression on her face as always, "Siri?"
Sirius looked at her sister one last time before he walked out of the door with his broomstick and trunk in his hands slamming the door after that.
Sirene looked at her mother in disbelief in her eyes, her throat was closing up as she stared at the woman who once used to love them so much before blood status and rules came in the way.
Regulus passed her mother a nasty glare before walking downstairs to embrace her sister who stood stiffly.
"He left, Reg" Sirene whispered into her little brother's shoulder, "He left"
"I know"
🥀
Sirene stared at her room ceiling blankly, she couldn't believe it, her brother left. Regulus had offered to stay in her room but she'd declined, wanting to be alone for the moment.
She felt so angry, she felt angry with herself, with her mother, but most of all her brother, she couldn't believe he left her.
He didn't even say goodbye.
She snapped out of the daze when she heard a small knock on her door, she turned to find Regulus there who gave her a small smile.
She sighed before scooting away a bit and making space for him on her bed, she motioned for him to come lay down by patting the space.
"I know you said you wanted to be alone" Regulus said with a hushed tone, laying down next to her taking up most of the blanket, "But I didn't, I don't want to be alone"
"I lied" Sirene said pursing her lips, "I don't want to be alone either"
The two siblings just laid there in silence. Sirene closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep but of course her mind didn't allow her to do it.
"Why didn't you go with him?" Regulus asked after a moment, "You could've"
"I didn't want to leave you" Sirene said shrugging, "Plus he kinda never asked"
"Would you have went with him?" Regulus asked his sister, "If he'd asked, would you have?"
"I- I don't know"
"Ok"
Walburga Black sat downstairs near the fireplace, tears grazing her cheeks as she stared at the picture of her kids. It will never go back to that.
They will never share the same ideals and same morals as her, she would only end up breaking them if she hasn't already. Today her own son chose to walk out on her for his friends, she knew she'd fucked up but she didn't know how much.
She knew that Sirene would be miserable living here without her brother, she also knew that she would rather die than bear the dark mark, she knew she had to do something and do it quick.
Time is running out.
Lol, there's that. Hahaha, sooooooo the weather? Pretty nice isnt it? No rain. Yeah....
