JINGLE THE BELLS, BITCH!

L. JINGLE THE BELLS, BITCH!

Christmas at the Potters — all Sirene Black could say about it was wow. The day started off with opening presents that was...let's just go with chaotic.

"Hey, peabrain!" Sirene yelled at James, "Catch!" She threw her present for him that he caught without a hitch — thank quidditch for that — and then proceeded to open it.

"Sirius, watch out!" Euphemia yelled at the boy but was too late because now Sirius Black laid on a bed of wrapping paper, "Ouch."

"Who the fuck put a fucking dumbbell on the floor?!" Sirius yelled out in frustration, getting up with a sour expression on his face. James and Sirene tried their hardest to not laugh at the situation but ended up failing to do so, "Yeah, great guys, laugh at the poor Sirius who fell and almost broke his back!"

"That's exactly what we're doing" Sirene said heaving, she has a thing where no matter how bad someone falls — she can't not laugh at them, does that make her a sadist? Possibly. Does she care? Of course, not.

"What'd I miss?" Fleamont asked as he sat down on the sofa with a glass of eggnog, "Did Sirius fall again?"

"Fleamont!" Euphemia said scoldingly, "That is the third glass of eggnog you've had in the last thirty minutes, that's enough!"

"But darling, it's Christmas!" Fleamont said, "When else am I going to drink eggnog?"

"As if the day has ever stopped you from making something" Euphemia said shaking her head, "This is the last one"

     "You got it" Fleamont nodded.

"Ok" James said throwing a wrapped up present at Sirene, "Open mine now!"

"Aw" Sirene said holding up a blank photo album, "James, this is really sweet!"

"I know" James said with a smug grin, "Now you can put all the pictures you took in this"

"I'm gonna make duplicates of it and then send it to everyone" Sirene said and then put it aside, she then gave a knowing look to James as they watched Sirius obliviously go through his presents.

"This one is from you, Si" Sirius said holding up a perfectly wrapped present with a neat bow on top, "I'm gonna open it"

"Go ahead" Sirene said with a mischievous glint in her eyes that thankfully Sirius failed to notice. Sirius opened the present with a goofy smile on his face, but as soon as he opened the cardboard a bunch of glitter burst on to his face, falling everywhere. He let out a huff of air, the glitter falling out from inside his mouth.

"Run." Sirius said in a dangerously low voice as everyone watched him warily, waiting for the moment he started chasing sirene around the house.

"You know what?" Sirene said, "I don't think I will, because you're going to love me after I give this to you"

     "What do you mean?"

"We have another present for you" James said with a smile, "This one is from both Sirene and I, we pitched in some money and..."

"...tadaa" Sirene finished for him as they handed him a small toy looking motorbike.

Sirius stared at in confusion, tilting his head a bit as he stared at the miniature looking motorcycle, "You bought me a toy?"

     "No" Sirene said.

"We bought you enough happiness to last almost a decade" James said.

"Set it down" Sirene said to Sirius who set the motorcycle down in a clear space in the backyard because Sirene told him to do so, "And now — James, if you'll please"

"Of course, Sirene" James said stepping forward with his wand in his hand, "Engorgio!"

"Woah" Sirius said as he watched the toy grow into a human size motorcycle with a sidecar, "And it has a sidecar!"

"I thought the sidecar looked ugly" Sirene said shrugging, "But James insisted that you would love it"

"And I was right" James nodded.

"Thank you!" Sirius exclaimed flinging his arm around both James and Sirene making them take a tumble down to the floor, "Thank you, so much!"

"Ew!" Sirene said writhing beneath his grip, "Get off!"

As I said, chaotic, to put it lightly.

"The dinner was great, Fleamont" Sirene said with a small smile as the Potters' house elf — twixie — collected the dirty dishes and disappeared with them.

"Thank you, dear" Fleamont said, and then gave a glare to James, "Nice to see people appreciate me, unlike someone"

"All I said was that there was no need for you to make soup!" James said with a frown, "You're the one who's always complaining about having terrible backache"

"Boys" Euphemia said in a warning tone making both of them shut up, she smiled smugly before getting up from the dinner table, "Now what do you say we watch a muggle Christmas movie to end the night?"

"I'm down" Sirius and Sirene shrugged together.

"Why not?" James said with a shrug of his own.

"Yes!" Fleamont got up with an excited expression, "I have got a lot of great options — first we can watch The Christmas Carol and then—"

"Let's just stick with one right now, hon" Euphemia said to her husband who frowned slightly but then nodded and went happily to turn on the television.

"I'm gonna get some snacks for the movie" James said getting up from the dinner table and then rummaging through the drawers for snacks.

"Prongs, we just ate a three course meal, what the fuck do you need the snacks for?" Sirius questioned.

"Yes, but that was a meal" James said in an obvious tone, "These are snacks"

"Fatarse" Sirius said shaking his head, Sirene chuckled at that and then got up to join Fleamont and help with the television as he always ends up needing help controlling the remote.

"James get the popcorn!" Euphemia called out from the living room as everyone settled down, Sirius and Sirene at the foot of the sofa, James by his mother and Fleamont on a rocking chair with his favorite blanket.

James handed a bowl of popcorn to Sirius and Sirene and kept one for Mia, Fleamont and himself. The movie started and everyone went silent watching the screen with great curiosity. Crazy when you think about it — they're literal wizards and witches yet they get fascinated by things so simple like a television or a walkman.

To everyone's annoyance the doorbell then rang, everyone looked around at each other waiting for someone to get up, Sirene let out a sigh before saying, "I'll get it"

"Ok" everyone chorused together turning their attention back to the movie.

Sirene walked over to the door with a sour expression on her face, she hated getting up whenever she was watching something — it ruined the mood. The doorbell rang again, she let out a frustrated sigh before yelling out, "Coming!"

Sirene opened the door rolling her eyes expecting to see some kid asking for their ball back or something, what she didn't expect to see was Andrew Rosier standing there, out of breath, with snow all over his clothes.

"Hi" He breathed out as he stared at her, "I got your letters"

"What are you doing here?" Sirene said looking him at him with surprise, "Get in, it's so cold out"

     "No" Andrew said.

     "No?" Sirene questioned.

"No, I mean yes" Andrew said his voice cracking at the last part, "Yes"

"What are you talking about?" Sirene furrowed her eyebrows, "Are you going to come in or..?"

"I would love to" Andrew breathed out. Sirene's mouth formed an 'o' as she stared at him, she remembered — that question.

"You would?" She asked him a small grin forming on her face, "Really?"

"No, I was joking" Andrew said sarcastically, "Of course, I would! I've liked you for almost two years now!"

"Well, shit" Sirene said after a few moments the grin on her face widening.

Andrew grinned back at her as the two teenagers stared at each other, Sirene suddenly let out a snort all of sudden at their condition — he was freezing outside and she was wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. This clearly wasn't how she envisioned it would go.

     "What?" Andrew asked her.

"Nothing" Sirene said between laughs, "This just isn't how I imagine it would be like"

Andrew let out a chuckle at that before his gaze travelled up to the door frame over which lay a pretty mistletoe. Sirene followed his eyes and ended up staring at it herself.

"Mistletoe" Andrew said giving her an awkward grin, "I didn't notice that"

"Me neither" Sirene said with a small grin herself. Both of them then shuffled closer together, "By the way"

     "Yeah?"

"Merry Christmas" Sirene said closing the distance between them and bringing him down to a sweet kiss.

     Best Christmas ever.
