XXXXIII. BIMBOS AND HIMBOS

     Sirene Black was an ok-ish person, she wasn't that mean, but she wasn't exactly nice either. She tried to be, but sometimes some situations are just asking to be taken advantage of, so it was only natural that Sirene used the dead father excuse every now and then to get herself out of trouble. Though, she wasn't sure how much longer she could use it for.

Sirene was making her way through the crowd to the Transfiguration classroom, Sirius had convinced Mcgonagall to somehow give him two weeks off, and Sirene now regrets telling Mcgonagall she was fine, maybe she could've gotten the leave too.

     Missed opportunity.

     "Hey, Ren" Sirene heard the familiar voice speak, she turned around with a grin on her face, "Where are your friends?"

     "Well, I'm running late, so they're probably at the class already" Sirene shrugged, "So are you, by the way"

     "Yeah, no shit" Andrew sniggered at the girl, "It's all Slughorn's fault"

      "What were you doing with Slughorn?" Sirene frowned, "Is your detention still not over?"

      Andrew shook his head at that, Sirene's frown deepened at that. She admired Andrew she really did, but sometimes she wonders if his brain works fast enough for him to process things.

"Come on, we don't want to be too late" Sirene said clutching Andrew's hands in her own and then rushing to the classroom when she realized that her little chat with Andrew may have made her run even more late.

"Ms Black, Mr Rosier" Mcgonagall said to the two teenagers with a stern gaze, "Take a seat, five points off yo-"

"Sorry, Minnie" Sirene said her expression turning solemn, "I had to deal with some letters of condolences and lost track of time" she used her fake sad voice making Mcgonagall sigh and then motion for them to sit down.

Andrew gave an impressed glance to Sirene who winked in return. Lily shook her head from the other side of the classroom while James was having trouble keeping his laughter in.

For the rest of the lesson Mcgonagall gave everyone a lecture about N.E.W.Ts that caused some students to actually faint because of how nervous they were. Sirene was nervous too, if she wanted to become an auror, she would need an E or an O in all of the subjects she chose.

"Hey, I never really asked you this but" Sirene said to Andrew in a hushed voice hoping Mcgonagall doesn't hear them, "What are you planning to do after Hogwarts?"

     "Well, that's out of the blue" Andrew said, "Honestly, I have no idea."

      "Good thing you're smart" Sirene rolled her eyes, "You could be anything you wanted"

      "What are you planning to be then?"

      "A stripper" Sirene said with a bored expression.

      Andrew snorted at that, but then his expression turned into a serious one when he saw the look of determination on her face, "You're joking, right.....?"

      "Are you insinuating that my dream is a joke, Mr Rosier?" Sirene asked andrew who tried to find the right words for a response, "Well, are you?"

      "N-no, I mean if you want to become a..." he paused at that and then gulped, "Stripper.. that's your choice and I would completely support you-"

       "Relax, I'm just kidding" Sirene waved him off and then released a small chuckle a his relieved sigh.

      "And one for you" Alice said placing a flower crown on Lauren's head, "Now we all have one"

      "Woah" Lauren said with a huge smile, fixing the crown on her head to prevent it from slipping down, "I'm really part of this now, huh?"

      "Part of what?" Sirene said as she sat down next to her with the crown on her head.

       "This" Lauren motioned to the girls, "Being in a friends group and all that, I've never really had friends"

        "How?" Marlene said her voice dripping with confusion, "You're so nice and a literal Hufflepuff"

"Not that I condone house stereotypes" Lyra said and then turned to Marlene with a pointed look, "But you're one of the nicest people in Hogwarts, how come you never really had any friends?"

      "I don't know" Lauren said with a small shrug, "I guess, I've always been on the quieter side, and no one made that much effort to talk to me, you know? So, I just never had proper friends"

      "You do now" Lily said passing her a smile, "And mind you, we're very clingy, you won't be able to get rid of us"

      "Oh, yes" Alice agreed as she finished off making a small flower bracelet, "We're really possessive too"

      "Yeah, if you want to be friends with us you can't hang out with other people" Sirene said keeping her expression blank to get a reaction out of Lauren.

"Oh" Lauren said with a small frown, "Well, not like I would anyway"

"We're only joking" Marlene said with a chuckle.

"Clearly I need to start picking up on Sirene's sarcasm" Lauren said sniggering when the girl merely shrugged.

The girls then spent the whole day talking to each other and walking around with flowers almost everywhere, Alice's courtesy, and then they were joined by the boys.

"Wait, no" Peter said the confusion clear on his face, "I don't get it, how do they get the candy inside, if the box is sealed?"

Everyone passed him a look of disbelief, Sirene gave him a look of exhaustion, "Is he serious? I really can't tell anymore"

"No" Sirius snorted at that.

"Siri, don't do it-"

"I'm serious" Sirius joked looking at his friends for a reaction but all he got were groans of annoyance from everyone because of how overused that joke is.

"Remus LupIN" James yelled out when Remus joined them in the common room, sitting down next to Lauren after giving her a peck on the cheek. James grinned at his own joke.

"Oh, for fuck's sake-" Sirene said shaking her head.

"Do you think humans will ever walk on sun, like they did on moon?" Marlene said with her eyebrows furrowed.

"Wow, I- I don't even know what to say anymore" Sirene stammered over her words as she stared wordlessly at the blonde who looked around for answers.

"Mar, honey" Lyra said in a soothing voice, "Maybe you shouldn't have skipped astronomy that many times"

Marlene frowned at that. Lily released a small laugh and Alice smiled at the couple. Remus shook his head with disappointment.

"I'm surrounded by a bunch of bimbos and himbos, I swear to Merlin" Sirene said shaking her head at her friends.

"Ok, I've got a question" Sirius said making everyone turn to him expectantly, "If I punch myself and it hurts, am I strong or weak?"

"Strong" Peter said.

"Weak" James snorted.

"Stupid" Sirene, Lily, Remus and Lyra chorused together.

"Or crazy" Lauren said, "Who in their right mind would punch themself, am I right?"

"Obviously" Sirene said snorting and giving her a high five, "Moony, I have to admit I'm starting to like your girlfriend more than you"

"The disrespect" Remus said with fake offense, "I shall not be somewhere I'm not respected"

"Dramatic" Lauren joked making Remus poke his tongue out.

"Let's go somewhere I'm not made fun of, shall we, Lauren?" Remus held out his hand for Lauren who took it gladly getting up.

"Yeah yeah, just say you want to shag and go" Marlene said with a small laugh making both Lauren and Remus's face redden.

"Mar!" Alice slapped her arm, "Don't be like that"

Remus and Lauren left the common room, James cupped his mouth before yelling out, "Remus LupOUT!"

Sirene threw a pillow at him in hopes it will shut him up but only got hit back in return, "Ouch"

"Wouldn't you say it's quite peaceful now that Remus and Lauren aren't here?" Sirius said with a small grin, "What a sirene moment" he was met with two pillows in his face after that, thanks to none other than Sirene and James.

I want to shift but at the same time I know I will be completely happy there and I don't want to risk going into a depressive state because Hogwarts isn't there with me anymore :(
