A wild goose chase!

Aizawa's POV:

I was laying in my sleeping bag finally ready to sleep, when all of the sudden the door to my empty classroom burst open. Normally I would have a class to teach but they were all taking the hero work to lightly thus I expelled them all.

To be honest I was waiting for a good timing to expel them all. For one they didn't had any potential nor did they want to listen to me! I told them that life wasn't a game and that being a hero meant putting the life's of others over yours and they only started laughing.

I never tell jokes! How could they even think I was joking?

They quirks were pretty good and certainly would help them in hero work but none of my ex-students wanted to train it.

A quirk can be trained and become stronger and that's a fact. Can't believe they are so stupid and didn't know that!

These kids didn't wanted to accept that fact even. There might be a limit that everyone has but being a hero meant to exceed that very limit and work on that level on a daily basis.

At least I didn't need to waste my time and teach such thick headed kids with no potential at all.

I was comfortable laying in my sleeping bag when the door burst open and someone who was yelling came running to my side. This certain someone was my beloved husband. In his hero suit he remind me of a loud ass cockatoo who by the way was currently hovering over me.

Presented Mic: SHO! Let's go!

The moment I heard my nickname said out loud with his quirk activated, my eyes flew open while I was still laying comfortable in my cocoon and used my quirk.

Present Mic: Sorry~!!!

Me: Why did you come here?

Why did you need to come at this moment? I was finally about to sleep!!!

I let go of his quirk and deactivated mine as well.

Present Mic: You are so mean! Don't you remember?

Me: School isn't over yet! So I am asking you again, why are you here.

And gone is my sweet sweet sleeping time!

It was true that he theoretically didn't had any classes today but I do and I didn't intend on leaving my well earned sleep aside. It was an hour that I still had to teach my ghost students.

Tired and sleep deprived was how others describe me. However I didn't only look like that I was nearly always tired and I would take gladly any chance to sleep.

What should I say? Insomnia is a Bitch!

Before my cockatoo of a husband entered the room so nicely, I was ready and so close to getting my well-deserved sleep. Thanks to him, I am now wide-awake again.

Present Mic: Oh come on! Don't be like that you sleepy cat! We both know that you don't have any class left since you expelled them all this morning!

Me: *Sigh* And?

Present Mic: I will buy you some coffee on the way if you come with me right now.

Only 1?

At least by me 2. I didn't get any sleep because of you!

Me: Make it two and from the cat coffee shop that I like and you got yourself a deal.

Present Mic: Deal! Let's go!

He now officially owed me 2 cups of coffee.

I then slowly wiggled myself out of my sleeping bag and we both went to the coffee shop first and then to Hawks.

Something tells me I might need it!

Scratch that!

I will need it!

I have a bad feeling that something is expecting us! And by the feeling I don't think it's a good thing.

We arrived at Hawk's home and we went straight to his door. Zashi had the codes for everything, thanks to Nezu, and we just entered. To make the situation more clear: I took the paper from Mic's hand and tipped the code in letting us both into his home. Not bothering at all to knock or use the doorbell.

We had the code so why waste time on it.

Present Mic: Sho! We can't do that!

Me: Why not?

Present Mic: That's not what a normal human being would do!

I don't see your point...

Me: Nezu gave us the code for a reason.

Present Mic: *Sigh* I love you, I really do but sometimes I do wonder if you are a human or just a cat in disguise.

Me: I don't need to understand that.

Then I entered the hero's home. We both heard Hawks talking and went to the room. There they were! Izuku was munching happily at his chicken nugget while Hawks was making some jokes and tell him some stories. The moment we entered the room my eyes and the greenette's met.

There was no way he could have heard us come in!

My footing was so light because of my underground hero job that being stealth became a habit of mine, which meant I hardly ever made any noise while walking. Although he couldn't have heard my footsteps he could have heard Mic's if he was the first one to enter the room. However, this was not the case! He was a good meter or two behind me and the moment I was in the doorframe he looked at me.

Did he know that we are here?

Did he sense us?

How is that even possible?

Present Mic: IZUKU!

The boy jumped by the sudden loud voice of my husband, his headphones fell of, and I internally cursed that damn cockatoo for being that loud at such moments. Izuku then turned around and sprinted to the next door out of the kitchen behind him. I saw him jumping of his chair, took my capture weapon, and threw it at him. He dodged it while also jumping to the side making an exit.

What? HOW!

Am I getting rusty that even a kid can dodge it now?

Hawks was staring at the greenette after he jumped and then looked behind him straight at us

Hawks: Feathers?

Was the only thing he said before turning around. For me it looked like he was way too deep in his conversation with our son that he didn't sense us coming in. This shouldn't be possible since he could sense people with his feathers but he clearly was distracted.

After Izuku left the room, Hawks shot up in the air and flew after him. His house was designed with a lot of space in order for him to be able to fly everywhere.

The moment I ran past the giant rooster, I saw him jumping into the air and following me out.

Me: Zashi block the exit!

I hoped he heard me!

I went after the greenette, shooting my scarf at him on every opportunity but it was like he knew from which side it was coming at him and simply dodging every single attack.

How is he doing that?

That's not god damn luck!

That shouldn't be possible!

He has some serious skills there!

Me: Izuku stop!

I was impressed seeing him dodge everything I threw at him.

He was running straight at the exit of the house but once he saw Present Mic he froze up for a second.

Present Mic: IZUKU!

He flinched, even jumped back before entering the room next to him.

Hawks: PRESENT MIC?! ERASERHEAD?! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE?!!!

It was the first time he had the time to speak up after running behind me while I was busy chasing the green bean.

Me: Isn't it obvious?

Present Mic: Getting our son back!

And then all three of us entered the same room, the kid went in. The room Izuku entered was a giant room that looked more like a small cinema room. There was no escape from here. Only one door was getting into the room.

Not a very smart move kid!

Me: Give up kid!

Izuku looked at me like a deer into the headlight of a car and then he shook his head in respond.

Me: *Sigh* It was worth a shot!

I was about to get near him when all of the sudden a red feather was holding me and Mic up in the air and another one was around our mouths preventing us from speaking or shouting.

Hawks (whispering): Come here feathers!

I watched the green haired boy run past me straight to Hawks and jumping right into his outstretched arms. Wondering why he would whisper all of the sudden, I remembered our encounter at the hospital. It was such a small detail that I completely forgot it for the time being.

The kid has sensitive hearing.

GOD DAMN IT! WE ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS!!!

I face palmed myself mentally for not realizing it sooner. Watching Izuku, it was the first time I realize that he didn't had any headphones on. He was in Hawks arms and I could see that he had some tears falling down his cheek. His ears were also bleeding.

I immediately felt guilty for screaming after the kid.

All our screaming must have hurt him! We are such stupid idiots!

Hawks (whispering): It's ok feathers. Just give me a second.

I watched Hawks dispatch one of his feathers and after some seconds, it came back with his headphones. He then gently put it on him.

It took Hawks about 5 minutes to calm the kid down afterwards. It really looked like he was hurt.

My guilt was nagging at me.

Why didn't I see it sooner? I should have realized it immediately when I saw him!

Hawks: If I let you both down, will you behave?

My husband nodded and I rolled my eyes.

What are we? Children?

He then let us down.

Hawks: How about this: Izu can you go and clean your ears and then come back into the living room? Our guest here and I will wait for you there and have a talk. Does that sound good for you?

The greenette slowly agreed before letting go of Hawks. After the door closed, he looked at us and let us free retrieving his feathers.

Hawks: How did you get in? Wait, no, how did you find my address in the first place?

Me: Nezu.

Hawks: What did I ever do to the creature that he would go against me?

Present Mic: Actually nothing. He is also interested in my son.

Hawks: WHAT? SAY THAT AGAIN!

Me: Our principle has developed and interest in Izuku!

Hawks: WHA...WHY?

Me + my husband: Don't know.

Hawks: ...

Hawks: Ok let's go the living room and wait for Izuku. He won't take long.
