(  I am a HUGE fan of mermaid melody but new to it so some things are based from what I've watched so far )
Backstory :
You were a ordinary human girl , drawn to the sea. When you first saw water , you didn't want to put your head underwater. Your mother ( top pic is your mother ) had to calm you and close your eyes , putting you in water and feeling the enjoyment of the water ( you were in a pool that time ). One day , you found out your zodiac was a Aquarius. You , overjoyed begged your mother to live near the sea. She would happily say yes but her father was a fishermen and a seafood chef. He never wanted you to be near the sea ( huh , kinda reminds me of Moana lol ). They finally came to a agreement. You moved to the coast of California ( if you live in California, then any other tropical place like Hawaii or Florida ) with your best friend seeing she didn't have a home or family so she became your sister and friend , Amanda. She wasn't a fan of the sea much but still thought it was fun. Except the time a crab pinched her butt ( lol , it smells like crab in my room , XD ) . She became aware and cautious of the sea and the sand. Your mother was strange thou. You never knew much about her but that she hates to eat seafood that your father would bring. You and Amanda loved seafood but you both loved sea life as well so you only ate seafood when your father went out to fish. Your life seemed interesting till you found out...the truth. Whenever it was night , Amanda and you would stay up to find out what your mom does at night but always failed. Is time , you were determined to know the truth.

Your POV
I woke up to the sounds of waves. A cold moist breeze touched my face , making it wet as I got of the top of our bunk bed to wake up Amanda. " hey pst , Amanda ! You up ? " I ask and she opened a eye , groaning " I am now. What times is it ? " ( ADVENTURE TIME!!! Jk XDD ) " midnight. Time to see mom's been doing ! " she smiled and immediately got up , jumping to me. " alright partner , let's find and out what mom's been going ! " we ran quietly outside the door but I didn't see Amanda behind me and I turn to see her pulling on a detective hat off the coat rack. " Amanda , come on ! " she giggled a bit and gave a happy face " what ? If were gonna be detectives , then we'd best look like one ! " me , being as childish as her agreed , running to our dress - up treasure chest. We put on a detective outfit but I decided to be a criminal , seeing that were supposed to be in bed , just like how when they walk around jail. We finished getting dressed and snuck downstairs to the living room. When we made it , I saw a necklace with a green gem in a glass case with the label called " sea diamond " that's when I got a bit grabby. Amanda slowly opened the case while I took it out. There were two so I handed one to her and the other to me. We giggled as we saw the backdoor closed. So mom wasn't out there. I remembered we were getting off of track and we nodded , walking to the backdoor. " if something crawls at us , make sure to spray it down. " Amanda told me and I nodded , grabbing the water guns for us on the front porch. The waves were calmly slapping against the sand. We wanted to have fun but we decided to head to where we saw a woman out singing...it was mom. " Amanda , do you see what I see!? It's mom ! " I whispered and she nodded , happily. " I guess she comes out to sing in the sea. Case closed ! " we gave a high five quietly and snuck around to a shack to see mom. She was doing a Hawaiian dance and we giggled , seeing she looked beautiful in the night. The waves started to calm down and they turned silent , making a peaceful sea surface. She sighed and went back in the house , going up the stairs. We gave ourselves a sneaky look and we went back up stairs after mom did. She smiled at me and I realised that Amanda's hat blew off in the wind ! She ran back to get it and so did I. After a while of running , we caught it. We heard something move in the water but we decided it was probably a fish. We turned back and we grabbed a few seashells then went back in. Little did we know... Someone or something was watching us...

???'s POV
I swim around the sea to see two figures walk near the coast. I smirked , seeing that it wasn't to late to have a midnight snack but not really today. The next night , they're next. I swam up more closely to see them being two girls who stalked another woman. Guess that was there mother. I swam to see a ( h/c ) haired girl with jean shorts , sandals , a tang-top and a necklace. Her ( e/c ) eyes shining in the moonlight. I have to say , quite the looker. maybe I'll have her first , then that blond - haired female. I always had a thing with my meals , besides , I'm very picky , but they'll have to do. I wonder how they'd taste. jeez , I can't stop thinking about it. She might fall under the spell. Maybe...

Amanda's POV
I head back to the bottom of the bunk bed as y/n climbs the ladder. The shell chandelier twirled on the piece of driftwood on the lamp. I wanted to sleep so I played the music box mom gave to me. It was a mirror but it still worked. Y/n had one as well but mine in blue instead of ( f/c ).

We were about to drift off to sleep till the moist air that y/n was talking about splashed me as well. But the air...started to smell...salty...like...the sea. I felt something slimy and I turn to see nothing. Y/n was on her D's till I told her what happened. " y/n ! You smell that ? " I ask and she nods , sniffing it. " your right , the air always smells like candles but now...it smells salty. " we heard waves and the ocean was near on our window. " um , Amanda ? Do you see what I see ? " she asked nervous as a we saw water and a mermaid - like fin. " What is that!? " I back away from the window as it wags. We might be in for a storm or...even something magical...
