Sall Omen Oo |Chapter Twenty-Nine|

Under the water, he finds not only Truly, but in the distance other figures much like hers swimming off in the distance as Merfolk go about their business.

Truly zips around just a few meters in front of him, bringing a smile to his lips. She glides around the water with natural ease, twisting and turning to show off for him. Truly quickly turns toward him and, in a blur, she's suddenly in front of him. She gives him a quick peck on the lips before his brain can process she's there. A giggle escapes her lips.

Kade's eyes widen when he registers her proximity, and on instinct, he jerks back, releasing a good amount of bubbles so that he's forced to swim to the surface.

As he swims up, Truly grabs hold of him and pulls him back down, planting a kiss on his lips. It's not just any kiss though, he suddenly feels as if he's taken a deep breath from a pure oxygen tank. When she pulls away, she playfully wiggles her brows at him and mouths, magic.

Throwing her a bit of one of his annoyed looks, Kade grabs her arm and jerks her back for a proper kiss, uncaring that they're underwater if she's giving him air. As he does, his other hand pulls her closer and drops to her ass or where it should be. Pulling away, his brows lightly furrow as he maneuvers to look at her ass or lack thereof.

Truly turns, trying to figure out what's wrong.

Unable to tell her below the water, Kade swims to the surface and waits for her to break it after him. "I donno how I feel about this look of yers now." His eyes drop to her ass. "Ye lost yer nice arse."

Truly gives him an unamused glare. "Ye don't need a bum in ta water."

Kade scoffs as he treads water. "I beg ta differ. Clearly I need ta bed you more in water to prove it."

"Ye don't grab on ta a bum..." Truly cuts herself off as she turns red. "Neva mind. I still have me bum, and I'll have ye know that down t'ere." She points off into the ocean. "I'm considered quite attractive, and ta boys aren't complainin' about me lack of bum."

"Only cause they've never seen how nice yers looks on land." He counters, daring her with his eyes to say he's wrong. "Ye can't tell me the men here only admire yer rack." His eyes drop to said rack, admiring her in her shell top.

"Noh, t'ey like t'e pearls most of all, and ta way me scales shimma. Also me fins are quite t'e turn on. Or so I'm told." She sticks her tongue out at him.

Kade's lip lightly curls. "If you say so, but," he slaps where the curve of her ass begins, the water naturally lessening the blow as it steals his inertia. "I still love yer arse on land. Ye have a fine one, Treasure, even if yer scales do shimmer pretty. Now I'd love ta watch you swim all day, but not in bloody jeans. They're killing me ability to swim." He pulls away and swims back to where they originally started. When he gets to shore, he turns to look at her, a soft smile on his lips as he watches her swim. "Are you planning to swim for a bit or do you need me to carry you ta shore?"

"Noh." Truly points to one of the partially covered glass domes. "I'm goin' ta swim inta one of t'ose ta change."

"Which?" His eyes turn to eye the glass domes.

Truly dips her head under the water for a moment to see which one is available. "Ta one closet ta ye."

As his attention turns to it, Kade gives a small nod. "I'll meet you there then, unless ye can't stand the idea of me with ye when you change. I'd rather you not hurt if there's something I can do to help." An earnest look fills his eyes. "Even if it's just you, try to break me hand."

Truly reluctantly nods, knowing he needs ta see how painful it is for his own sake, before vanishing beneath the waves.

Kade grabs their things and makes his way over to the dome. She pointed and, after a brief search, finds the door and steps inside. Within, he finds a small pool shallow, mostly save a deep expanse on the far end. On the far wall, there's a row of lockers and even a stack of towels. As he waits, he fights his way free of his wet jeans and drapes them over a chair by one window to dry.

Truly comes into view from the dark blue depths and quickly swims up to the pool's shallow end. She pulls herself up on the stone ledge of the pool.

"What do ye want me to do?" Kade comes to the edge of the pool. "I can join ye in there if you like, but I don't want to cause you more harm."

"It won't, jist don't touch me tail or legs. Ta nerves get a bit confused, and it hurts more."

"I can climb in and let ye lean against me if ye like, so you don't hit the stone." His eyes drop to it, not liking the idea of her hurting herself against it.

"I won't hit t'e stone, but I could accidentally thrash and catch ye. Me fins may look delicate, but t'ere are spines at the tips of t'em." Truly looks between him and the water. "I t'ink I'd feel betta if ye stayed out t'is time at least. I don't want ta worry about stabbin' ye."

"Fine." He leans against the edge and offers her both of his hands. "Take me hands then. I don't care how hard ye squeeze them or if ye scream."

Truly takes his hand. "If I do scream, don't tell Brody. He calls me a baby for it."

"Still want to drown the man personally for hitting ye in the head, so you've got nothing to fear."

"I was swishin' me tail. T'at's why he lopped me upside me head. It wasn't lookin' like one of t'ose silicone ones." She gives him a small smile. "I was putin' meself in danger of anyone walkin' by and seein' it. He was worried."

Kade's eyes lightly narrow as he remembers the incident. "Still don't like it."

Truly chuckles as she closes her eyes to concentrate. The smile on her face soon falls as her shoulder tense up. Behind her, her tail flicks and soon starts thrashing as the water clouds in a white dust. When the scales dissolve off, the skin on her tail tears, pulling the first small cry from Truly.

A look of unease crosses Kade's face as he squeezes her hands back. "It's alright, Treasure. I'm here."

Her body shakes as he watches the muscles roll over each other and shrink back into place. Scattered around her in the pool lay the blush pink pearls. When her legs are finally still, she lets go of one of his hands and rubs her thighs and calves.

"Still pins and needles?" His eyes drop to her legs.

"Aye, and have ye eva had a terrible Charlie horse?" Her gaze turns up to him.

"Aye." His fingers caress the hand still in his.

"Times t'at by a t'ousand, and ta sore muscle afta t'at." She flexes and stretches her legs out a bit. "Hans Christen Andersen almost had his story right. It hurts ta walk a bit right afta. Ta muscle are sore, and ta nerves are feeling like they just woke up from bein' asleep."

"I can lift ye out and carry ye to the chair without touching yer legs, most likely. I'd just have te carry ye like I would Hailee, without ye wrapping yer legs around me."

"T'ank ye, but I need ta walk it off. Me change ova time is a bit slow, but ta me credit, I got more fallin' off me t'an most. T'em pearls are a doozy." Truly reaches down and starts picking them up.

"I can gather them while ye walk it off." He nods to the pearls.

"Aye, t'ank ye." Truly dumps the pearls she collected into his hand before pulling herself from the pool. She stiffly walks over to the rack of towels and grabs one before walking around the stone floor.

Hopping in the pool, Kade picks up every pearl he sees, eyeing their unique color. "I have pearls this color in a jewel bag in me trove. They were all over the bloody floor."

Truly stops mid-step and snaps her head toward him. "Ye have them?"

"Aye?" Kade throws her an inquisitive look, not sure why it matters. "I didn't want them falling into the pool, some were even at its edge."

"Drake was upset t'at t'ey were gone." Truly's shoulders drop in relief that they haven't disappeared. "T'ey were Amphitrite's from when she changed."

"That explains why they always seemed to be by the pool. I thought it odd. Who puts something that can roll on the edge of one."

"T'ere supposed ta be collected and are actually kept unda lock and key in ta temple. Both of ours, t'ough, I suppose afta Davy killed Drake. She didn't give a feck about gettin' t'em home."

"No." His expression lightly falls. "I suspect his vault was more home ta her than her own by then. Why lock and key, though?"

"Cause t'ey hold a lot of magic, for one. If t'ey can change half-breeds ta full sirens, t'en obviously t'ey hold a lot of power. Plus, t'ey are a sign of royalty and divinity. Only ta high priestess chosen by Triteia herself has t'em." Truly's gaze drops to her feet. "Judgin' by at t'e stones Amphitrite left behind. I suspect she made ta swim everyday till she wasn't strong enough ta make it anymore."

"She meant for herself ta lay beside him." Kade rolls a pearl in his hand, somehow just knowing that. "I wager she tried in the end, but didn't make it far."

"I suppose." Truly walks over to a set of lockers and opens it up to find an array of stretchy workout clothing. "She's below in ta city."

"She should be with him, not Davy bloody Jones." Kade mutters as he strides out of the water, confident he has them all.

"Ye know his name isn't really Davy, it jist translates ta t'at."

"Don't care." An edge of irritation oddly fills his voice, perhaps thanks to the piece of Drake within him. "Didn't think he was immortal and captured all the souls of those who died at sea either, but I'm still sayin' it." Kade makes one of his stubborn looks, of which he has several. "Maybe I'll steal her out and put her with him. If Drake can get the heart, I should be able to do it."

"I t'ink ta immortality bit come in cause they name t'ere first-born son Davy, or Davaaly."

"Only one who dared to come close in ours is me father with Draken's name. Though," he slightly tilts his head. "I suppose half the time Mama slips and calls me Drake. I got used to having to respond ta it."

"Drake's name here is Ma-awen. We don't do so good with ta 'K' sounds undawater." Truly threads on a pair of shorts and a tank top.

"Do I want ta know what ye turn mine into, considering it starts with K?"

"Awen." Truly dries her hair with the towel.

"Can anyone wear these clothes?" He points towards the lockers along the wall. "Or do they belong ta someone specific?"

"T'ere for anyone. Most don't own clothes, especially ta males." Truly leans closer and cups her mouth to whisper. "T'ey be naked down t'ere."

"So I'll keeping ye on the surface, aye," Kade counters as he grabs a towel for himself, but the twinkle in his eyes tells her he's not serious. Finding a pair of shorts he'd wear to play sports in, Kade removes his boxers and dries them unabashedly off before he pulls them on, ruining her view.

"T'ere isn't much need for t'em down t'ere, and a few of us, Angus," she coughs out her uncle's name. "Get a bit too used ta it. Ta women wear tops if it makes ye feel betta." She smirks as her look turns slightly mischievous. "But t'em men." she lets out a little sigh, "all t'em beautiful chest jist be bare for any pour soul ta admire." Truly fans herself, though that isn't what the main attraction piece on a male siren is.

"Now yer just trying ta get a rise out of me. If I knew where I was bloody going, I'd throw ye over me shoulder and remind ye what it's like ta have a pirate has his way with you."

Truly's lip curls up. "Suppose I'll have ta show ye me cabin t'en for next time. I try ta get a rise outta ye. I'd like ta grab Coco from me nan first, which mean she's goin' ta want ta meet ye, and t'en we'll neva leave t'eir house. She talks a wee bit."

"I have a feeling that's an understatement." Kade lightly sighs as he drops her pearls into his shorts pocket. "Guess I better do this then first." Moving to her, he pulls her up against him and kisses her till they're both breathless. "I've been wanting to do that for weeks."

Truly takes a gasping breath in. "So me cabin first."

A grin crosses Kade's face. "Sure yer up for it? I'd hate ta ruin ye for those mermen ye seem too fancy now."

"It's far too late for t'at, me luv. T'ey've all heard about me handsome pirate t'at stole me heart." Truly slides her arms up to her shoulders and wraps them tightly around him. "I should warn ye, most only know ye as Awen. I kid ye not, we struggle with t'em 'K's."

"I know a few languages that have similar issues with letters." His fingers sliding into her hair, having missed the feel of it against them. "Ye might need ta remind them though it's nothin' personal, if I don't respond ta it at first. It sounds nothing like me name to me."

"I know, but it's literally impossible ta make t'at sound under ta water and have it carry. Ta closest t'ing we can do is click ta replace it and t'at would change ta meanin' of ta word completely. It's not t'at we jist plucked a random name out of ta pile. It's want ye name translates ta in Atlantean." Her hands slide down to his. "So, are we going ta me cabin, or would ye ratha rescue our babe from her great-nan's endless chatta."

"She'll survive, she's used ta it." Smirking, Kade's hands slide to her waist, and a moment later, she finds herself hoisted over his shoulder. Grabbing both their things with his free hand, he kicks open the door and heads outside. "Better give me directions, Treasure or ye might find yourself against a rock again." Reminding her of the last time he'd bedded her.

"Head toward ta temple." Truly orders as she admires her view. "I missed t'is." She pats his rump. "When ye get ta t'e temple, t'ere's a narrow dirt path t'at leads up ta a group of trees. Me cottage is jist within ta grove."

Following her instructions, Kade stills in front of a small white house with teal trim. "This one?" He turns sideways so she can see it if she turns her head.

"Aye. T'at's ta temple's house." She smacks his butt. "Onward, me steed."

"I'd smack yer arse if I wasn't holding yer bloody crown." Kade warns as he strides up the porch and opens the door, dropping their things on a chair just within as he slams the door shut and carries her through the living room to what must be the bedroom. Seeing a queen bed draped in mosquito netting, Kade strides over and drops her onto it, making her bounce. With heated eyes, he chases after her.

Truly cranes her head up to capture his lips as her hand runs along his neck. When she pulls away, her look grows completely serious. "I missed ye, Kade. I neva want ta be parted from ye again."

"Neither do I," he agrees, cupping the side of her face. "I want ye for forever, Truly. I'm not whole without you, omen."

"Aye." She agrees. Her heart swells at his admission. "I feel ta same way." Truly wraps her legs around him. "I want ye ta make your choice on what ye want, t'ough. I'll undastand if ye don't want ta become a siren. Yer perfect as ye are, Kade, and I wouldn't change ye."

Pulling his head slightly back, Kade's lips thin. "I don't like the idea of dying long before ye and having you waste over half yer life crying over me body like Amphitrite did Drake, Treasure. I wouldn't be able ta move on if ye did that."

"I can promise ye t'at I won't." Truly runs her fingers along his jawline.

"I don't want ye joining me either," his expression turns serious. "I saw ye in me vault. Seeing him hurt ye and you never even knew him personally. Ye'd be devastated if it was me resting on that slab, omen."

"So ye want me ta promise ta move on?" Her gaze lifts to meet his. "Sirens can die young, jist like humans. If I go first, could ye promise ta same?"

Kade's lips thin as he lightly shakes his head no. "I suppose I'll just have ta pop one of yer pearls then, won't I?" The corner of his lip lightly curls as he tries to lighten the mood. "Save us both the heartache."

"Noh," Truly sighs. "Ye need ta make t'e decision for yeself only. T'ere's a lot t'at will change about ye. If ye change, ye'll grow gills, ye have ta take care of t'ose. T'en changin' hurts, and I'm used ta it. Ye won't be. Then as great as livin' about two hundred years might sound, it come with its own troubles. We'll have ta leave ta mainland around ta age of fifty or sixty. Othawise, people start noticin' that we aren't agin'. T'at's why me granddah, and nan live here."

"Ta anywhere?" To her surprise, Kade's eyes widen like he likes the idea.

"Aye, I suppose." Truly's hand runs up and down his sides. "We'd need ta stay near ta ocean t'ough. Ye have tah filta the water in ye gills out, or ye'll get gill rot."

"I study the ocean," he reminds. "I wasn't planning on going far from it. I could actually study another ecosystem." He grins, having been forced to give up the idea when he came of age four years ago.

"Fine, but I haven't even told ye ta worst of it." Truly smirks, showing she's not completely serious. "Ye can't feel temperature. Ye complain about me hot showers, but it's because it only feels luke warm unless it's boiling on me skin, t'en it's jist warm."

Kade raises a brow at her. "That so?" His grin grows as his hand shifts to slide between them and beneath her shirt to cup her chest. "I could have helped heat that shower for ye, Treasure."

Truly hums in delight. "Aye, I'll have ta keep t'at in mind."

Unable to ignore the desire to feel her naked beneath him any longer, Kade pulls her shirt over her head before his mouth descends on hers. Kissing her like she's the air he needs to breathe, he skillfully removes her shorts and drops them to the floor. Intent to make her gasp and moan, his hand slides between them to the cusp of her thighs.

"Kade." She gasps against his lips as her hands drop to his shorts and works to get them off.

Working her over with just his hand, he grins against her lips, then pulls away a bit when she bucks against him, desperate for more. "Let me see you shatter, Treasure."

Not wanting to go it completely alone this time, Truly reaches down between them and grasps ahold of him. She slowly strokes him.

Kade's eyes flutter at her touch as a soft groan escapes his lips. "For glory eh, omen?" He recaptures her lips as his hand disappears from between her legs, and another part of him replaces it.

Truly's eyes widen as a hard gasp escapes her lips. Her legs tighten around him as one of her hands slides down to his ass and grasps a handful of his muscular rump. Three weeks without each other quickly has Kade's pace turning aggressive, and the surrounding air sizzles with electricity. Wanting to taste her, Kade's lips drop to her neck, where he nips and sucking.

Truly's free hand reaches up to lace her fingers in his hair as moans and gasps fill the room. Before long, Truly's moans grow, and she can feel herself getting close to her finish. "Kade." She groans out his name to get his attention, knowing that he likes to watch her fall to pieces in front of him.

At the sound of his name, Kade's head snaps up, and his eyes lock on hers, only to watch her beautifully shatter into a million pieces. Her body tenses, and her eyes flutter as her mind turns to complete mush.

"Beautiful," Kade decrees before his mouth captures hers and the air fills with their electricity again, and soon she finds herself gasping again. When she tenses around him a second time, his eyes flutter shut, and this time he groans her name as he finds his own release along with her. Collapsing down upon her, Kade breathes heavily against her neck. "I love ye, Truly."

Her legs slide down along his sides, and her arms slack and move to wrap around his chest. "Sall omen oo, Awen." She whispers in his ear. "I love ye, Kade."

"Sall omen oo..." Realizing he doesn't know how to say her name in Atlantean, he lifts slightly up to look at her. "How do you even say yer name in it?"

"Leha, is Truly, but most won't call me t'at here. Ye and me family can t'ough."

"Sall omen oo, Leha," leaning down, he gives her a lazy kiss, content to just stay like this even though his stomach says otherwise.

Truly giggles at the rumble. "Hungry, me luv?"

"Aye," Kade shifts his weight a bit. "I only ate breakfast and early at that."

"Well, me nan will gladly fix t'at, ye jist have ta find ta strength ta get up and walk ova t'ere." She smirks before giving him a peck on his lips.

"If I can find the strength to get up, I'd just be beddin' ye again." A smirk crosses his lips as he intentionally plays with her use of words.

"Har, har, ye scoundrel." Truly tickles his sides, knowing it won't tickle him, but it seems to annoy him at least a bit. "I'm hungry, too."

"Then I suppose I better get up," he reluctantly pulls away and falls beside her, his hand naturally sliding to her waist to pull her against him.

"T'at's progress." Truly teases. "Grant it, it's technically in ta wrong direction." Truly points in the opposite direction he rolled. "Granddah and Nan's place it t'at way."

"If I rolled that way, I'd have fallen on the floor. Are we showering first?" He breathes into her neck only to groan when he realizes his jeans are still wet and he hadn't bothered to hang them to dry outside. "My jeans are still wet and likely me shirt now since I threw it all on the chair."

"Well, ye can either put ta shorts back on, or I've got some wraps t'at we can make ye a pretty skirt out of." Truly gives him a mischievous grin.

Pulling his hand back, Kade slaps the side of her ass. "Not a bloody chance in hell. You can wear that, though. I'll happily untie it for you later. Now get up and take a shower if you need it."

"I'll take me shower later, after I say ta evenin' prayer. Now," she gently slaps his leg and gets up from the bed. "Get ye lazy bum up before me nan comes lookin' ta see why we're late for dinna."

"Aye aye."
