It Means Something

I walked out of Davina's room making sure she was okay after last night, she was devastated over the death of her teenage crush Tim, I could kill Klaus for the heartache he was putting Davina through. I walked towards the study were Elijah and Haley were trying to figure out why Davina was drawing Celeste, who was Elijah's ex and an old pain in my ass, who had come back to haunt me.

My strappy black open toed booties clacked against the hardwood floor as I walked, my black high-waisted jeans and black button-down vest-top clung to my body with my army-green jacked draped over my shoulders. My mid-night coloured hair was in a German braid across my head a black choker decorated my neck, while my signature blood-red lips and dark Smokey eyes made me look all the more alluring.

"There's never been one all-powerful witch, until Davina" I heard Elijah say as I entered the room.

"Really so what am I?" I smirked walking towards the suited original.

"I don't think you count my love, you broke off from the ancestors and the covens of New Orleans centuries ago, Davina is still connected to them therefore she is the most powerful" Elijah replied, I rolled my eyes at statement and kissed his cheek before smiling a greeting to Haley and sitting down across from her.

After Elijah showed up at my house last night with a picture of Celeste, we tried to figure out how why Davina was drawing her, unfortunately we became distracted and ended up in my bed, then the shower, the kitchen counter and back to bed again, needless to say we our little disagreement was long forgotten.

We didn't have a label yet with everything going on we hadn't had time to discuss our relationship, I wasn't complaining due to the fact of us having sex at every opportunity, what can I say we were making up for lost time.

"Your Celeste was quite beautiful, and a portent of evil according to our volatile artist in residence" Klaus said as he entered the room looking down at Davina's drawing of Celeste.

"Yes. Perhaps Davina's mistaken what she calls evil for power. Celeste was certainly very powerful in her day" Elijah stated lost in thought.

"I think we knew two entirely different Celeste's, she tried to kill me but obviously she's isn't as powerful as you think if little old me was able to kill her with little or no effort" I bragged, glaring slightly at Elijah.

"Do I detect some jealously love" Klaus laughed looking at me amused.

"Why would I be jealous of some harlot who's been dead for 200 years" I stated coldly.

"You tell me" the hybrid smirked.

"Tell me Niklaus how was sleep" I smiled evilly, making Klaus glare.

After what he had done to Davina I placed a spell on him making him relive his most horrible memories over and over, while he slept, it only lasts a few hours but to Klaus it would have felt like days. Most people would be shocked that he didn't retaliate but not me, he knew what I was capable of and I'm sure he didn't want to cross me again, that and the fact that we were too busy with everything else going on.

"If you two would stop your bickering, we might be able to figure out why Davina is drawing Celeste a witch that has been dead for over 200 years" Elijah sighed as he sat down beside me on the sofa.

"Why does any witch do anything?" Klaus shrugged.

Then suddenly we heard a smash coming from one of the rooms.

"Well, that's going well" Klaus sighed.

"I told him to leave her be" I said, and stood up making my way to Davina's room to stop her killing Marcel.

I heard more things smash as I walked down the corridor, when I opened the door to Davina's room a vase flew towards my face but I reached my hand out freezing the item in place

"Maybe you should try deep calming breaths?" I suggested sarcastically.

Davina rolled her eyes at me, then turned back to Marcel and continued to throw objects at him with her magic, then suddenly she stopped and a pained look overtook her face.

"Davina" I said as she started coughing, Marcel rushed to her side and rubbed her back as she heaved, and coughed.

"What's with all, the racket" Klaus said bursting through the door, Marcel and I ignored him as Davina started to cough up dirt, I looked at Marcel with worry as Davina whimpered and coughed up more dirt, I walked to the other side of her whispering comforting words as best I could.

"Davina try and calm down" I stated, but the little witch did the exact opposite, when suddenly out of nowhere the room started to rattle, it was like an earthquake going off in the room, I heard things smash as Marcel and Klaus left the room, I jumped in front of my young decedent calling he name, trying to calm her but it was no use.

I was back home drinking my sorrows away, it was pouring down outside Davina's doing no doubt, it was nightfall now, the day had pasted in the blink of an eye, and what a day it was.

After Davina's episode, in the compound Klaus and Elijah had called in reinforcements in the form of Sophie Devereaux, only to find out she was off digging up Celeste Dubois remains that Hayley had told her where to find after she had read through Elijah's journals, usually I would have lost my temper at the wolf but my energy was focused on Davina.

Elijah and I had buried Celeste under a tree near the governor's house after I had killed her, we buried her there as punishment to the ancestors, that way Celeste's bones couldn't be consecrated and her power couldn't be used by the ancestors against me.

Elijah Found Sophie and brought he back to the compound where she told us what I suspected but refused to speak aloud. Davina's power was becoming too much for her, and not only would it kill her but Davina would take New Orleans down with her, if the harvest wasn't completed.

I refused to believe what I knew was true so I bid Davina a quick goodbye telling her I was going to find answers.

I searched every grimoire, every text, every spell I had but came up with nothing. The harvest had to be complete which meant Davina had to die.

"Harvest"

"Earth"

"Unstoppable"

"Wind"

"Davina"

"Water"

"Death"

"Fire"

These words spun around in my head over and over, here I was the all-powerful siren and yet I couldn't even save my own family again, tears threatened to spill as I thought about losing yet another person I let get too close to me.

"Why are you here?" I snapped drinking my whiskey straight from the bottle.

"Rebekah found Marcel and Davina, they are on their way to the cemetery" Elijah spoke. Marcel had apparently stolen the little witch not wanting her to die from what he had saved her from, but it was useless, Davina would die.

"Come say your goodbyes".

"Why bother?"

"This isn't about you Giselle, the girl is very fond of you she needs the people who care about her there" Elijah told me.

Davina was heading to her slaughter, my last descendent would be dead within hours.

I had let the young Claire into my heart because I had seen some of myself in her, she reminded me of my human self, before this city had ruined me. I had been determined not to let New Orleans blacken Davina's soul like it had mine, but my time with the girl had been wasted because now she would be nothing but a rotting corpse, everyone had hope that Davina along with the other three dead girls would come back, but I had my suspicions.

If I knew the ancestors or the witches of New Orleans then I knew the harvest wouldn't be as simple as that. The drawing of celeste came to mind, Davina hadn't been drawing the bitch for nothing something was going to happen I just knew it.

"It won't work, I can feel it".

"It might" he replied.

"My feelings are never wrong" I hissed.

"Well put your bad feelings aside and be there for your niece who is beyond frightened and needs people there who care for her" Elijah snapped.

Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, Sophie, Haley and I stood in the graveyard waiting for Davina and Marcel, I didn't like being in this cemetery this was home to the ancestors, ancestors who hated me I could feel the dead bitches and it was giving me a head ache.

Elijah had told me that they had consecrated their mother's bones so Sophie could complete the harvest, it was a stupid thing to do but I wouldn't say anything about that, yet.

Elijah had been right I needed to be here I couldn't be selfish not with her.

Fire blazed across the graveyard, the last element. Marcel soon approached carrying Davina in his arms, fire following their path. When they got to the alter we were all surrounding Marcel let Davina free from his arms, she stood their shaking, I squeezed Elijah's hand I was holding and stepped out from under the umbrella that was keeping us covered from the downpour, I walked to Davina with a calm look on my face.

"Elle" she whispered when I approached.

"Now you see why I hate these power-hungry ancestors" I smirked making her laugh, without warning Davina suddenly launched herself at me giving me a bone crushing hug which I returned with vigour.

"Thank you for everything Elle" she cried, as I pulled away and kissed the side of her wet head.

"It's been some adventure petit apprenti, I'll see you soon" I smiled trying to reassure her before I pulled away, I faced Marcel turning my back to everyone so I could hastily wipe my tears away before anyone could see.

As Sophie stepped forward with her knife Elijah pulled me back to him tucking my now soaking form into his side.

"Do you believe in the harvest?" Sophie asked as she stood in front of Davina.

"I believe" Davina replied and within seconds Sophie slit her throat making me and everyone around me flinch. Davina's body fell back and Marcel caught her in his arms, I watched the magic flow from her body as the rain stopped then Marcel lay Davina beside the three other slaughtered witches.

"After the harvest, comes the reaping their sacrifices made and accepted, we call upon our elders to resurrect your chosen ones" I watched Davina's body as Sophie spoke we waited for a few seconds but nothing happened.

"We call upon our elders to resurrect your chosen ones" Sophie repeated.

Nothing happened once again.

Resurrect your chosen ones ... please, I beg" Sophie whimpered, yet again nothing, Sophie sunk to the ground on top of her niece's body and cried.

I should have known Sophie Deveraux was unworthy of performing the harvest, I knew it wouldn't work but I didn't say anything and foolishly I let everyone keep their hope.

I stepped onto the alter avoiding looking at Davina's dead body, as Marcel disappeared.

"I knew you couldn't do it, even your precious ancestors know you're not worthy" I sneered at Sophie as she looked at me with a heartbroken expression.

"Giselle" Elijah spoke, but I ignored him.

"You should have stayed a non-believer ... I'll leave you to grieve but if you cross me again I'll boil you from the inside out, maybe you could see your lovely sister and your pretty niece again" I hissed coldly, then disappeared in the same direction as Marcel.

Charles Andre Dupre

Son, Brother, and Loving Husband.

Emmett Charles Dupre

Beloved Son, of Giselle and Charles.

The fresh black writing on the Dupre tomb had been redone a few times over the years as I didn't want my boys grave to fall into disrepair like most of the graves in the cemetery, they would never be forgotten I made sure of that.

I fingered my golden locket around my neck that held a snip of Emmett's dark hair, Charles had bought it for me a few weeks after Emmett's birth, it was my most prized possession.

I took a deep breath and approached the man who stood looking thoughtfully at the grave.

"I knew why you couldn't get close to me as a child, you told me so yourself, but I never really understood your pain, until now".

"That pain never goes away" I bluntly told him.

"Didn't think so" Marcel replied.

"When the Mikaelsons fled I despised the man you became, until Davina".

"I'm sorry for getting you into this Giselle I know how hard it is for you to get close to people, now she dead and ..."

"I wouldn't change being a part of Davina's life for the world Marcellus" I interrupted.

We stood there for a moment longer before Marcel took his leave.

"Marcellus, it means nothing coming from me but I'm very proud of who you've become" I called stopping him in his tracks.

"It means something" he whispered loud enough for me to hear, then disappeared from my sight.

"Are just going to stand there and watch" I sighed sick of this man sneaking up on me.

"I didn't want to disturb" Elijah replied stepping forward.

"I thought I would visit while I'm here" I spoke refusing to discuss the conversation I just had with Marcel.

"You changed the headstone" Elijah said after a moment's silence.

"Well I couldn't have their resting place looking like a pauper's grave" I smiled softly.

"It's been a long day enchantress"

I kissed my fingertips and placed them on the cool marble, I turned to face him and kissed his lips softly.

"Take me home" I whispered, Elijah lifted me in bridal style making me gasp in surprise then vamped us from the graveyard taking me home.

Meanwhile a shadow stood watching the pair grinning madly in the darkness, soon the great Siren would get just what she deserved, oh revenge really was sweet.
