Chapter Four - Buffets and Missing People
Hi! Yup! They're having a buffet, and I think you know what's on the menu. Enjoy!
-------------------
Cedric was sitting in the formal living room (even if he was dead) with a cup of crimson liquid in his hand. The previous owners of the mansion he was residing in had died, sadly, and since he was their sire the mansion belonged to him. He left their small children alive so that they'd have food and he'd turn when they were older. They had a daughter aged seven and son aged twelve, the whole family having been muggles would turn other muggles once he could figure out how to be in the sun.
There was a knock on the door and Cedric answered it.
"Evelyn! How nice to see you again!" He exclaimed, "I assume you have the boy?"
"Yes sir," Evelyn replied, "may I ask, why is this boy so important?"
"Who, Harry? He's the boy who lived. I need him on my side."
"I still don't understand?"
"Muggles. He defeated the biggest threat the world had ever seen and managed to escape an inescapable death. That's why he's so special."
"Of course. Bring him in guys!"
Two others came in with an unconscious boy in their arms.
"That broken neck will heal soon, put him in the living - no, let's call it the dying room seeing as none of us are living."
The two newcomers took the boy into the 'dying room' and placed him down in a lying position.
"Three, tow, one -"
Cedric was interrupted by a loud gasp escaping the boys lips and him sitting bolt upright. The boy had a pale tan complexity, dark emerald eyes, a muscular build with some added height, dark hair and a lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead. He started hyperventilating and grew angrier by the breath. He stood on his feet and ran to the door faster than humanly possible, bu was blocked by Cedric.
"I don't want to fight Harry, but I will if I must," Cedric said calmly.
"Why am I here?" Harry inquired.
"Because I need you here."
"Why? Where even is here?"
"So many questions, but I unfortunately am not in the mood to answer. Take him to his room."
Harry felt someone grab onto his arms and he was dragged away before he could protest. But what happened next was most unexpected. He was thrown into a room, but when he looked around it didn't look prison like at all. quite the contrary. He saw a king sized bed with golden linen, a seating area with colours of red - the chairs looked mighty comfortable I might add - and a warm fireplace.
He didn't know what he had really expected, but a bedroom fit for anyone of royal lineage definitely wasn't it. He didn't know why he was there, nor did he know why he specifically was so important. He hadn't really thought about what Cedric might do after he'd gone bonkers, and he probably should've paid more mind to the vampire. Cedric had clearly turned others, but by the number of rooms they passed he could tell Cedric was building an army for war. And he was on the wrong side.
Screaming pulled him out of his thoughts and he looked out to see who it was. A girl with dark brunette hair and very pale skin passed by trying to escape the clutches of Cedric's servants. But she saw Harry and gasped as though afraid. She still struggled, but looked as though she had just seen a serial killer. Harry hadn't killed anyone though, yet at least.
"Stop!" She shouted, "Please! At least leave Draco out of this! He's not done anything! He's not a vampire!"
Harry was shell shocked at the panic evident in her voice, but she seemed worried about Draco. It couldn't possibly be Malfoy, he thought, there has to be another Draco somewhere. Right? The girl continued to scream until she was thrown into a room, and the door locked with a click. This girl has to be turned if she knows about vampires, and she would have to be part of his plan for, whatever he was up to, if she's here?
More people arrived, none of which Harry knew, and only a handful of the rooms were filled after it all. Eventually, Cedric yelled out for everyone, and they obeyed.
"So, it's time for dinner!" He unveiled what was on the table and Harry audibly gasped.
He can't mean...
-~-
Astoria struggled the entire trip to wherever they were being led. Draco lay unconscious next to her, and she felt a pang of guilt, knowing it was her fault he was in that situation. She had led the vampires to his whereabouts, she had killed his parents, she was the reason they weren't there to stop the vampires from taking him. She started to cry, no, sob as the trip went on. She looked at her hands, they were covered in blood. The blood of Lucius Malfoy.
"We're here," the man said in a monotone voice.
She was yanked out of the car and someone took Draco out and carried him to the door while she was dragged along. They knocked and Cedric answered the door.
"Phillip! I see you've got the girl, but whose he?"
"She was at his house when we found her," the man gripping Astoria's arm said.
They moved so that Draco was standing, but still unconscious in their grasp.
Cedric placed a hand on his face and traced his thumb over Draco's bottom lip, "A very handsome boy aren't we," Cedric stated, "Put him with the rest of the food and take her to her chambers."
The vampires did as they were told, but Astoria wasn't going with out a fight. She ripped free from the mans grip and ran for Draco, attempting to wake him up, and succeeding. Draco began to fight against the woman restraining him and Astoria was dragged away by two of Cedric's servants. The two struggled to escape the arms of Cedric's servants, but were still dragged in opposite directions.
Astoria screamed to be free, but when they passed a door and she saw Harry she got more than a little scared. It didn't stop her from squirming, but her confidence shrunk by a small amount.
"Stop!" She yelled, "Please! At least leave Draco out of this! He's not done anything! He's not a vampire!"
She continued to yell and scream as the servants remained unbothered and brought her to another door pushing her inside and locking the door. She banged on the door and began screaming, but she couldn't be heard. Giving up, she slid down to the floor. She brought her knees to her chest, wrapped her arms around them and sobbed into her knees. She didn't even look around the room, she just blamed herself and wanted more than anything to free Draco.
If she had looked around, she would've seen a pastel purple coloured room with an elegance Harry's room didn't have. The bed was made of a dark wood for contrast, but had pale purple linen. All the wood in the room was dark, and it complemented the light purple everywhere else, with a comfortable seating area in the corner. She also had a fireplace, but it was made of a white coloured brick.
Cedric yelled out for everyone, and she went downstairs with everyone else.
"So, it's time for dinner!"
Astoria heard Harry gasp and she was horror struck.
Is this what he meant...?
-~-
When Draco woke up, it was to Astoria yelling at and shaking him with fear painted on all of her features. He began to struggle and scream, but it was to no avail and they were both dragged in separate directions. Draco was thrown into a cellar with two other people; a girl about seven years old and boy about twelve years old. they were shaking and had bite marks on their necks and arms with blood dripping slightly.
Draco knelt down to help them, knowing exactly how they felt having felt it multiple times all through his childhood.
"Hey," he whispered reassuringly, "hey I'm not going to hurt you."
"You aren't?" The girl asked.
"No!" The boy shouted, "You're lying! I won't believe you!"
Draco felt a pang of familiarity, "I know how you feel," he sighed, "My parents abused my from the age of six, but I don't know if that's what's happened to you. I see they've fed on you, they knocked me unconscious and kidnapped both me and my friend."
"Friend?" The girl questioned, "Where are they?"
"They were led off in a different direction."
"Your friends a vampire?" The boy asked, "Are they going to hurt us?"
"No, she's got too much compassion for that."
The two children sighed in relief before realising they were still trapped.
"The man turned our family into vampires," the boy explained, "they've been feeding on us ever since."
"Do you know him?" The girl asked with tears dripping from her face.
"I know him yes," Draco admitted, "He went to my school three years ago, but was murdered."
"He did? but then, how did he turn?"
"I don't know, all I know is he turned someone I care about. I was shocked myself when I saw him."
"Jake," the boy said, "my names Jake."
"Nice to meet you Jake, I'm Draco."
"I like that name!" The girl exclaimed cheerfully, "I'm Esme."
Soon a woman came down and unlocked the cellar.
"Mummy?"
The woman rolled her eyes before bringing all of them out and putting them in their own cages like pets. Draco could only just fit in his due to him being eighteen, but he looked more like a fifteen year old, and the children Jake and Esme fit effortlessly. Two of Cedric's servants came in and picked the cages up as though they were groceries. They were placed on a table and a cloth was draped over the top of them.
Cedric called out and they heard footsteps.
"So, it's dinner time!"
They giant table cloth was snatched away and they heard gasps.
Oh, this is why we're here...
-~-
After the unveiling of Jake, Esme and Draco, Cedric selected Astoria to step forward.
"Now sweetheart," he started, "since you're the one that brought the blonde to us I think you should have the first bite."
Astoria's eyes widened, "No, absolutely not!"
"Oh come on! You don't honestly think I can't smell the blood on your hands?"
Astoria turned away, seemingly ashamed, "It's not Draco's blood."
"Sure, but come on, have a bite!"
Cedric unlocked Draco's cage and pulled him out effortlessly despite Draco's protests. Astoria looked at Cedric with pure hatred marked on her face making him smirk, "Either you drink his blood, or I kill him. That simple sweetheart."
Astoria's features changed completely and Draco gave her the; 'I'm prepared to die' look, making her want to save his life more.
"Fine," she replied grudgingly.
"There you go!" Cedric passed Draco over, "Eat up!"
Astoria brought her fangs out and bit into Draco's arm, drinking only a small amount before handing him back over.
"I'm surprised by your amount of control, sorry sweetheart, never got your name?"
"Astoria Greengrass," she replied.
"Right, well, take her to the dungeons. It's no good if she can't feed properly."
A man emerged and dragged her away.
"Now, who wants the next bite?"
All but one raised their hands, and Cedric picked out who would feed on Draco next.
"Harry!" He exclaimed, "How about we get you to feed!"
Harry was shoved to the front.
"That's odd, last time - What's that around your neck?"
Harry panicked and shoved the red jewel behind his shirt, claiming it was nothing.
"Are you sure it's nothing? Looks an awful lot like the Ira Stone."
Harry panicked internally and tried with all his might to look calm, but failed. it was ripped from his chest and he sealed his eyes shut, but it wouldn't do anything if he could still smell Draco's blood. Cedric audibly laughed and Harry felt his fangs forming in his mouth and the blood in his veins pumped quicker through his body. He fought the urge to rip Draco open, but part of him wanted nothing more than to drain the blonde of his life.
He caved in.
Draco screamed in agony. Harry's really not gentle is he? Draco thought to himself. Harry felt his humility slipping away the more he drank and the more Draco screamed, yelped and pleaded.
"Stop!" He heard Draco scream.
Harry eventually pulled away and saw blood dripping from Draco's neck as the realisation hit him. He had just lost his grip and drank from his childhood enemies neck. Cedric threw Draco back into his cage before pulling the little boy out. Vampire after vampire fed on the three humans until Cedric dismissed them to their rooms. Then dragging the three snacks into the cellar and locking the door.
Astoria was also locked down there, doomed to die of hunger.
But the story hasn't even begun yet.
-~-
The next day Daphne, Blaise and Pansy met Ron, Ginny, Hermione and Luna in the Ministry. The two groups were shocked by the other groups appearance, but said nothing to each other. When the trio of Slytherins were called into the Ministers office they went in fidgeting. Kingsley Shacklebolt sat at his desk and signalled them to explain.
"Astoria and Draco have gone missing," Daphne said simply.
"Are you su -"
"Yes we're sure!" Pansy exclaimed as an interruption, "Astoria disappeared yesterday and we went to Malfoy Manor to find Lucius and Narcissa dead on the floor with no Draco!"
"Is it possible Draco and Astoria kill -"
"No!" Blaise shouted, "Draco wouldn't kill them if his life depended on it and Astoria wouldn't have the strength to rip out a heart and break a neck!"
"I'll get the aura's to investigate it."
The three Slytherins left the office to find the four outside looking at them astounded.
"I'm guessing you heard everything?"
Ginny nodded, "Harry's missing too."
"Oh, well now we know what happened!" Daphne retorted, "Harry took Astoria and Draco after killing Lucius and Narcissa!"
"Harry wouldn't -"
"We saw him!" Pansy replied, "He was covered in blood next to Tom's dead body at 'The Leaky Cauldron'!"
"Harry's going through something," Hermione started, "he wouldn't've done this if he was in his right mind -"
"Oh, we know," Blaise remarked, "Astoria's one too. Only she doesn't seem to kill people on sight."
"Listen," Luna began, "none of us know what happened, but we know someone pretended to be a Ministry Official and said her boss wanted Harry before he went missing."
"He asked us to meet him here," Ron said, "And he's wearing a necklace that stops him from going psycho, so, let's just figure this out together."
The three Slytherins thought about it before Daphne saw something in Ginny's eyes and nodded, knowing they were being genuine. Pansy and Blaise were startled by her willingness to work with them, but they guessed Astoria was her younger sister and maybe she felt responsible for what happened to her. They agreed with a nod and the four others in the room smiled at them. It was going to be a bumpy ride for the three kidnapped friends, and it was going to be a challenge to find them, but they all had hope.
But Cedric's planning and turning continued as he hunted down those his servants turned...

Sorry this came so late, and sorry if it's short. I've decided to try and keep my chapters at around 2500 words, but I will try and stay at the same number for different stories depending on how long the previous chapters have been. for Slytherin Skulls, I'm sorry to say it's very difficult to write chapters with less than 3000 words. Whether that's a good or bad thing, I don't know. But the world is out of wack! iT's NoT tHaT hArD tO cLoSe A sChOoL mAtE!!

Australia: Nah you'll be right mate!
Half of the students aren't even coming to school! There are classes of two! We aren't allowed to sit at the same tables so I've been using the chair next to me in different classes as a foot rest! I haven't been told off yet! Just close the bloody school!
That was my rant, thank you for tuning in. Please vote, comment and make suggestions. I would like suggestions on who I should turn. Thank you!
