The one we all claim to love:

We hear the beautiful Azaan calling out to us to wake up from our deep slumber yet we say just five more minutes and roll over, alas missing the Fajr Salah, yet we claim to Love the one who weeped and begged Allah from dusk to dawn to have mercy on us.

We neglect the recitation and understanding of the Quraan often, seeking guidance from everyone and everything beside the Quraan yet we claim to love the one that Allah has sent His words of guidance through and to.

We stand while drinking water or eating, often never uttering a simple bismillah or reading the dua after eating or gulping water. Yet we claim to love the one who always sat whilst eating and drinking water in sips.

We live extravagantly and crave the comforts of this temporary world, yet we claim to love the one who chose poverty over moutains of gold.

We gossip,  cheat, insult, ridicule, slander and deceive our own family - yet we claim to love the one that loved,assisted and made dua for the strangers that cursed him.

We brag and boast about our achievements and success, yet we claim to love the one who was most humble and simple.

We dress and speak immodestly, touch, smile and openly interact with 'friends' from the opposite sex - yet we claim to love the one that instructed us to never go near zinah.

We ignore and ostracize people of different races and religion, yet We claim to love the one that invited and befriended people of all races and religions.

We fail to emulate the one we claim to love yet we succeed in emulating the ones we claim to hate- the west.

We dress like them, we speak like them, we eat and drink like them, we listen to their filthy music and watch their mindless t.v series. We live our lives emulating them  everyday in every way yet we claim to hate them.

Let's go back to the personality of all personalities, to the hero of all hero's, to the master of manners and the bearer of kindness. The one that cried for us,bled for us and was tortured for us,his Ummah. The one through who Allah sent your Salaah,your Quaran,your Islam. The perfect example sent as a mercy to the world. Let us emulate the one we love.. and the one that loves us.Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
