After saving Princess Peregrine, the Shadow Hound makes his way to Terra Bogaton. Before this, he contacted fellow Bounty Hunter Jörmungandr for assistance. As the Shadow Hound landed in Terra Bogaton, Jörmungandr greeted him. 

Jörmungandr: Shadow Hound. It is an honor to hunt alongside you once more.

Shadow Hound: Your assistance is greatly appreciated, Jörmungandr. Given your...expertise on Terra Bogaton, I could use the edge. 

Jörmungandr: Who is our prey? 

Shadow Hound: Our prey is a group of terrorists working for the Last Battalion. They're plotting to assassinate Repton. 

Jörmungandr: They are bold if they believe they can kill Repton.

Shadow Hound: I've had more than a few fights with these guys. I know what they're capable of and trust me when I say that they're going to be a problem. 

Jörmungandr: If you say are worthy prey, then I will take your word. Where are they?

Shadow Hound: The Lost Forest. 

As the Shadow Hound said that, Jörmungandr fell silent. The Shadow Hound could see that this did not take well with the Raptor Bounty Hunter. 

Jörmungandr: The Lost Forest is sacred land to the Raptors. It is where the Sky Hunter resides. 

Shadow Hound: Well it seems these guys are plotting right in the Sky Hunter's yard. 

This deeply enraged Jörmungandr. As a firm believer in the Sky Hunter, to hear that a plot to assassinate the Raptor King was taking place within sacred lands angered Jörmungandr.

Jörmungandr: This....this is blasphemy of the highest order! To plot such an dishonorable act within the sacred land of the Sky Hunter is madness! 

Shadow Hound: Agreed. The sooner we find them and take them out, the sooner we can put to an end to that.  

Jörmungandr: Do you know what you ask of me? I vowed never to set foot in the Lost Forest. I vowed never to confront the Heart of Darkness that lurks within the Lost Forest. 

Shadow Hound: I know, Jörmungandr. I wouldn't be asking you this if it wasn't that serious. But these guys are a serious threat. If they succeed in killing Repton, then all of Terra Bogaton suffers. 

Jörmungandr took a moment to reflect on the Shadow Hound's words. While he maintained his reservations on setting foot onto the Lost Forest, Jörmungandr knew that he couldn't let this transpire. 

Jörmungandr: I made a promise that I would never set foot in the Lost Forest. But I will not allow these.....dishonorable thugs spit on the face of the Sky Hunter. The Lost Forest will be their grave. 

Shadow Hound: Then let's get to work. 

With that, the Shadow Hound and Jörmungandr entered the Lost Forest. Once inside, the two seasoned Bounty Hunters began navigating through the Lost Forest in search for the Lost Battalion squadron assigned to assassinate Repton. Eventually after a lengthy search, the two Bounty Hunters discovered a camp. Within that camp were several Lost Battalion insurgents. Among them was a Raptor. The Shadow Hound surveys the camp. 

Shadow Hound: This camp is crawling with Last Battalion soldiers. They must've been here for days. And if I had to guess, that Raptor is the one leading them.

Jörmungandr: Only a Raptor would have been able to guide them into the Lost Forest without being shot down by Terra Bogaton's cannons. 

Shadow Hound: Shit....we're going to need to get closer to find out what they're planning. 

Jörmungandr: Agreed. 

With that, the Shadow Hound and Jörmungandr began sneaking up on the camp. Using the dense forest to cover their approach, they eventually reached an area where they were able to safely monitor the camp and listen in on any conversations. As they watched, the Raptor pulls out a Message Crystal. He activates it and the voice of Acrisius is heard. 

Acrisius(Voice): What's the status of your mission, Shahkulu?

Shahkulu: My men are in position, Commander. We make our move on Repton at nightfall.

Acrisius(Voice): I suggest you be quick about it. Burke's mission on Terra Klockstoppia has failed and Ajax has not been heard back. I have no doubt that my wayward son has found out about your mission and is on his way here. 

Shahkulu: Burke and Ajax were pushovers. I am not. 

Acrisius(Voice): Do not underestimate him, Shahkulu. My son is formidable. He is relentless. It is vital that Repton is....taken off the board.  

Shahkulu: Understood, Commander. Repton will die. As for your son, if he stands between me and my prey, then his will die. 

Acrisius(Voice): I hope you're right, Shahkulu. For your sake. 

As the message ended, Shahkulu turned to his men. 

Shahkulu: Men of the Last Battalion! Prepare yourselves! When night falls, we will descend on Repton! And when the Sun rises, a new order shall rise within Terra Bogaton! 

The insurgents under Shahkulu's command cheered. Meanwhile, the Shadow Hound and Jörmungandr watched all this. 

Shadow Hound: Looks like they're planning to attack at nightfall. 

Jörmungandr: They intend to strike when his prey sleeps, unable to defend themselves. That....that thing is no Raptor! 

Shadow Hound: You have an idea, Jörmungandr?

Jörmungandr: These men believe themselves to be hunters. We will wait until nightfall. 

Shadow Hound: That's when they're planning their attack. They won't be expecting it. 

Jörmungandr: And in the darkness, the White Hand of the Sky Hunter shall smite them! 

With that, the Shadow Hound and Jörmungandr made the decision to attack Shahkulu and his men at night when they would make their move against Repton. In the Lost Forest, a great hunt would occur.
