Después de que el país de estados unidos se viera afectado por un virus peligroso que vuelve a las personas come carne, la vida no fue la misma desde entonces. La historia nos cuenta la vida de Kai Smith, un contrabandista que busca vivir tranquilamente y tratar de olvidar la muerte de su hermano menor Lloyd y la separación de su familia. Pero un día el líder de las Luciérnagas, llamado Garmado, lleva a su hermana menor Nya con él y resulta que ella podría ser la clave de encontrar una cura. Ahora ambos hermanos deberán de cruzar el país entero para encontrar la base de las Luciérnagas que ayudaran a encontrar la vida.

After the country of the United States was affected by a dangerous virus that makes people eat meat, life has not been the same since then.
