Después de los acontecimientos en "Skybound" Ninjago ha vuelto a un estado de paz sin tantos crimines, o ese creían todos los ciudadanos y los ninjas cuando se descubre que el Mecánico escapa de nuevo de Kryptarium y reúne a su pandilla para llevar a cabo su venganza contra los ninjas y Skylor, la hija de su anterior jefe, Chen. Skylor l enterarse de las intenciones del Mecánico teme por l seguridad de sus amigos, y de Kai en especial. "Outstanding Debts"

After the events in "Skybound" Ninjago has returned to a state of peace without so many crimes, or so all citizens and ninjas believed when it is discovered that the Mechanic escapes again from Kryptarium and gathers his gang to carry out his revenge against the ninjas and Skylor, the daughter of his previous boss, Chen. Skylor, learning of the Mechanic's intentions, fears for the safety of her friends, and Kai in particular. But she still puts the ninjas on alert, and even though they agree to help her she still fears for her friends and that her dark past will catch up with her again.
