In a powerful and magical land, Dragon Grand Duke Kai Smith and his younger sister Grand Duchess Nya Smith are two siblings seeking to carry their family's crest to the throne of the Ninjago empire. But one day when they intercept a beast slave trade, they find a peculiar boy from the legendary and mysterious race of Dragons, a race of beastmen who are considered to be the most dangerous in the entire Ninjago empire. Both brothers couldn't leave the boy alone, so they keep him and name him Lloyd, and it might be possible for Lloyd to be the Dragon prophesied to become the legendary Imperial Dragon, the being that would be able to unite humans and beastmen in one world.
