Enough was enough.

As Cara woke up the next morning, she was fire and flame. Not just because falling asleep last night had been nearly impossible after Sin's little visit, but because today, it was all going to come to an end.

She was getting to the bottom of all this Sin business, come very possible Hell or high waters. His games had gone on for long enough, and today, she was going to find out the truth.

She had laid out a plan. After breakfast, she was going to tell her parents she was going for a walk, but in truth, she was going to go and find him. Sin. He showed up out of nowhere, so her theory was he could be summoned. She didn't know how yet, but she would figure that part out later. For now, all she had to do was get out of the house so she could be alone with him. That was the plan.

Cara walked downstairs for breakfast, feeling confident in herself. For the first time in what felt like ages, she gave her parents a genuine smile and sat down at the table with some hope. Her father was reading his usual morning paper while her mother was finishing the last few things for the breakfast table, removing a couple of bread slices from the toaster. Her brother was the only odd one out; instead of playing his usual gameboy like he always did, he was sitting in his chair with a tight grimace, arms crossed. Oh, what had he done now?

"Good morning," She greeted and sat down in her chair, just as her mom sat down with the bread basket and her father folded his newspaper.

"Good morning, honey," Her mother smiled endearingly, then reached for her husband's hand. As Cara did the same and reached for her brother's hand, he merely stared at it like it was the Devil itself. Too bad the Devil's hands were larger, warmer and had the ability to compel innocent people to sin.

"Sam, take your sister's hand," Their mother snapped, her cheerful voice shifting key. As she glared at Sam who continued to grit his teeth defiantly, it darkened even further. "Samuel."

"Do as your mother says," Their father bid in. Cara watched in astonishment as Sam all but growled back and uncrossed his arms. With a loud scrape, he kicked his chair back and stormed away.

"Samuel!" Their father boomed. His voice was thunderous. "Get back here, right now!"

"Fuck you!" He shouted over his shoulder as he bolted up the stairs and slammed his bedroom door. Cara jumped in her seat, completely shocked. Granted, Sam had been short with them lately, but storming off and cursing them off? That was most definitely new.

"What's going on?" She asked as her parents both sighed. Her mother looked down while her father shook his head.

"He got accepted into C.U yesterday, but we've heard more than bad word about that school," Her father told, gravely. "It's a party school and it's not appropriate. There are no good Catholic churches around and the school's right next to the beach."

"So... you told him he can't go?" Cara voiced.

"It's for his own good," Her mom spoke up, folding her napkin in her lap. "He's too young to know it, but this is about his future. He'll thank us later."

Cara stayed silent and decided not to argue with them. Sam was old enough to pick himself, but that was the thing... their parents were the ones who paid for their education, and if he didn't choose a school of their approved list, they wouldn't pay. Cara knew Sam had his heart set on C.U. It was his dream to get away for a few years and get some sun and surf in. He was young and their parents were right, he wasn't thinking about his future too much. He just wanted to have fun on the west coast.

"You don't have any work today, do you, sweetheart?" Her mom chimed up and broke Cara from her thoughts. As she shook her head, Cara immediately knew she was going to regret saying it. "I'd like you to stay home and watch Sam. We're grounding him until he finds his manners again, and we need you to make sure he doesn't leave the house."

Cara's mouth fell open. "But I made plans for the day!"

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. Your dad and I need your help. We both got work," Her mom looked at her with a small pout to her lips. "It's just for today, it's weekend tomorrow after all, so it's only for one day. You can reschedule your plans till then, can't you?"

Cara felt her chest deflate. She had set her heart on getting to the bottom of the Sin-matter today, but now it seemed she didn't have a choice. She nodded quietly and mumbled a weak "Okay..." before accepting that she would have to wait until tomorrow. She guessed there was no harm in pushing it off one more day... it might give her some time to figure out how she was going to get the truth out of Sin without getting distracted by his touch.

"Thank you, darling. Just check in on him every once in a while, we've already taken away his Game-thingy and taken away his PlayStation. He needs to stay in his room and do his homework for the finals, so he shouldn't be too much of a bother. Your dad and I will be back around 5-ish, but I'm sure you'll handle it just fine."

Cara smiled bleakly and nodded. She could handle her brother's tantrums. That wasn't even a concern. She was more disappointed by the fact now her plans had to wait all till tomorrow. She had been so ready to end this game this morning.

As they finished breakfast and Cara said goodbye to her parents as they took off for work, she slowly walked upstairs and drew in a heavy sigh as she approached her brother's room. She did so not have the energy for this today.

Knocking on his door, she waited about five seconds before coming in. Her brother was on his bed, staring up at his ceiling while throwing a football back and forth between his hands. As she entered, his eyes shifted and he glared at her. "What?"

"I'm your babysitter for the day," Cara flatly voiced. His face mirrored her feelings about the matter. "Mom says you need to be studying, so I'm gonna be checking on you."

Sam scoffed at her statement. "Do you always do what mom tells you?"

Cara's grip tightened on his doorknob. "Show some respect, Sam. Mom and dad raised you and kept you safe, the least you can do is keep your tongue and not disrespect them."

He let out a bark of a laugh. It was completely humorless. "You're so fucking like them." He sat up and met her eyes with a disappointed snort. "So fucking goodie-goodie-two-shoes, you don't even see how they control every single little thing you do. Just look, they got you on babysitting duty and you're 24," He glared at her and narrowed his eyes. "Why do you even still live at home? How can you stand them?"

"That's enough," Cara bristled her voice and put her hand on her hip. "You're gonna stay in your room and do your assignments. If I hear a peep from your room, I'm taking away your stereo."

"Fuck you too," He snarled, throwing himself back on the bed and firing the ball up into the ceiling. It thudded down dully on the carpeted floor and rolled under the bed.

"That's it," Cara growled back, "You can stay in here without breakfast, you disrespectful dweeb."

Slamming his door shut, she heard him shout a nasty curse back at her, but she blocked it out. Straightening her back, she marched back to her own bedroom and closed the door, deciding she might as well do her laundry. With all of her feverish dreams, she was running low on—

"Does it turn you on, giving orders?"

Cara wheeled around so fast, the world spun.

Right there, on her bed, Sin laid, looking edible as candy. Long legs crossed at the ankles, clad in black trousers, his broad body was splayed out on her bed and pillows like a true... sin. His eyes glinted at her and a wry smirk played on his lips, but what truly had Cara gasping for her breath was the way the top buttons of his shirt was undone. A taunting glimmer of a promisingly healthy body peaked out beneath and started all sorts of forbidden fantasies in Cara's head.

That was, until she realized he wasn't a figment of her imagination. He was here, in her home.

"What are you doing here?!" She whispered, hysterically. This was worse than at church. Her brother was in the room next door and this was the room she had grown up in – her bedroom. Sin was in her bedroom.

He smirked slowly. Her distress appeared amusing to him as she practically fumed with panic and anger. How dared he show up at her house? Had he no limits, at all?

"No," He replied, reading her mind. Cara's eyes widened. "Absolutely none when it comes to you."

"Can you read minds?" She blanched. She watched as he slowly swung his legs out over her bed and stood up with a crooked smile. The way his broad body unfurled and rose to his impressive six foot four made her internally squirm. Her legs clenched shut when he started walking towards her calmly, that smile of his growing.

"I hear thoughts," He aired. Then that smile turned into a smirk as Cara gulped at his advancing form. "Particularly the sinful ones."

Oh, God. Cara backed up as he continued walking towards her, feeling coldsweat run down her back, but heat spreading inside her stomach. His eyes were dark and his aura held even darker promises. The way he was looking at her, trailing his eyes over her yellow summer dress, it made her body tremble with... God, with need. Her body had grown addicted to his touch and it recognized his drug.

"Tell me what you are," She demanded when he kept coming closer, now only mere feet away from her. She was locked against her wooden closet, felt one of the metal knobs digging into her back.

"Interested," He replied, but by the way his voice dropped an octave, she knew 'interested' translates as something entirely else in his vocabulary. "And at the moment... very intrigued."

He finally stopped when he was inches from her. Cara's chest pumped with need to find a semblance of control, but the possibility of that disintegrated the moment Sin reached for her cheek and cupped her face. Like electrocuted, Cara felt his vibrations spark against her skin and thrum through like a low electricity charge.

Her eyes slid shut and her mouth opened when his thumb caught her bottom lip and rubbed the flesh until her body involuntarily responded. Cara felt shameful when the wet sensation between her legs made her squirm in discomfort, only fueled by the way Sin leaned closer and trapped her against his powerful body.

"You wanted me today," He whispered in her ear. "So you got me."

Cara forced herself to swallow to be able to speak. "H-how did you find me?" She didn't understand how any of it worked, but somehow he was always able to locate her, any time during the day or night.

"Your scent," He rumbled back, his lips faring to her neck again. He groaned lowly, and the sound was like heroin to Cara's body. The delicate purr of his exhale against her skin made her arch and moan, trembling. "Innocence is such a pungent smell. But so very sweet..."

His tongue snuck out and sampled her. Cara's knees weakened as she felt the gentle laps of his tongue against her pulse, making it race in response. Her body flushed and she started to sweat, losing control of her thoughts and her body's reactions. God, his touch...

"What do you want from me?" She clamored, her hands grasping on to his shirt when his hands fell to her hips and steadied her failing balance. In a few moments, she wouldn't be able to stand. She felt drunk on him, and that was her judgement from never having been the regular kind of drunk before. She was dizzy, her stomach was a toiling tight knot and all she wanted to do was moan all the time. What was he doing to her? How?

"Oh, Cara," His deep voice turned husky as he drew back and met her eyes. "You're not ready for that answer."

Frustration built inside her and evolved faster than the other feeling that was spreading inside her. "Goddamn it, start answering me! I need real answers, you can't just–" She pressed her hand against his chest and pushed him, only to be met by the likeness and firmness of a wall. "–show up and kiss me whenever you please, take from me and ruin me without granting me an explanation! What have I done to deserve this kind of torture?!"

As she panted with tears, Sin pulled back. His face was grave and set in stone, a mask of hardness.

"Torture? Is that what this feels like to you?" He voiced. "Torture?"

Cara clenched her fists tightly. "In a sense... yes. I don't know what's h-happening. Sin..." Her eyes rimmed with tears looked up and met his yellow orbs. "What's happening to me?"

He looked at her with a deep look. Then, he completely pulled back and stepped back.

"Nothing is happening to you that you don't secretly want, Cara. What I do is a product of your own desires. Who I am is another case."

Cara's breath froze. "And what is that?" What are you?

"I am a Sinner." His eyes met hers with absolutely steel.

She gaped, unsure of how to react. "What?"

"A Sinner. The mythological creature lost in the pages of humanity's history books," He told. Pocketing his hands, he looked out of her garden window. "My specie is neither Devil, demon, incubi, or whatever names you humans have given us over time. We are a kind of our own. Our only purpose in life is to release sins and bring humans their deepest, darkest desires."

Cara dropped her jaw. A Sinner. She had never heard of a mythological creature named that before – but that was of course his point. He said they drowned in the pages of their history books... maybe that had been for the best. "Wha... how... I mean—"

"God created Saints and Angels, and the Devil created Demons and Sinners," Sin patiently told while keeping his gaze locked on the flourishing green garden outside. "For good to exist, there must be bad, so when God created his pretty little Saints to strut about on Earth, the Devil created us Sinners to level out the scales."

Cara's body had stopped functioning. She couldn't breathe, blink or swallow. In a way, his telling sounded logical enough, but it was impossible to process. The Bible talked about sinners, but never in the fashion he was presenting.

Oh, sweet God. If she assumed that Sin was telling her the truth – so far she had seen no reason to object to his story, given the course of the past few days... but if he was indeed one of these so-called Sinners... then what did that mean for her?

"Oh, my God," Cara bent over forward and tried to breathe. It was too much to process. If he really was a Sinner, an incarnate of the Devil, then she had let the Devil's spawn touch her. Taste her. Taint her.

"You are getting ahead of yourself," Sin voiced somewhere outside of her panicle onslaught. "That is not how it works."

"But you have touched me," She was hyperventilating. Black spots started appearing in her vision and the world started to tilt. "Oh, G-God... you had your fingers inside of..."

When her balance was about to tip, she was surprised to find Sin's strong arms catching her before she hit the floor. He swept her into his arms easily and sighed as she started squirming. "Calm yourself, Cara. Let me finish talking."

That was easy for him to say, wasn't it. His world hasn't just been flipped upside down. Maybe another person would've handled this revelation better, but not Cara.

All of her life she had been taught to avoid the Devil. That he was the source of all evil in this world, and if you let him in, he would consume your light. He fed off of the innocent souls and he feasted on those weak enough to fall under his alluring spells.

And now, Cara had gotten the confirmation that she had quite literally let the Devil under her skin. Not only had he tasted her, but he had filled her ears with his sinful promises and gotten her hooked on his dark drug.

"Christ. Stop thinking," Sin bit as he tossed her onto her bed. Cara yelped and was broken from her stream of thoughts when he climbed on top of her and grabbed her flailing arms. "You are going to listen to me and you're gonna shut up till I'm done."

Ready to protest, Cara opened her mouth, but that very same second, his palms closed around her wrists and pinned them to the mattress. Something spiked through Cara's body and a wet gush seeped between her legs. Her eyes widened and she stared up at Sin who loomed above her, yellow orbs darkening by the second.

"Your mind and body is so damn contradictive," He muttered and clenched his jaw. With a firm look, he steeled his eyes on her. "I don't taint souls, Cara. I liberate them. Sinners draw out your inner deepest desires, even if you don't know them yet. We pull them to the surface."

Liberated. That was a nice word for corruption, Cara thought, but couldn't find the words to speak as his thumbs settled over the pulse in her wrists and effectively shut her us as pleasure coursed through her.

"But here's the thing," He said and leaned down closer to her lips, making sure she caught every single word. "We don't determine how you sin. It's not a catalogue we browse through and choose which sin we want to release. That part is all humans. You bottle up sins inside you, and whichever one longs to be freed the most pops first," He stroked his thumbs up into the palms of her sweaty hands and leaned down to a hair's breadth above her lips. "All it takes is one touch."

His lips brushed hers, and with slow, deliberate strokes of his thumbs, Cara's lips parted as she gave a cry from the wildfire exploding inside her. Sin took the opportunity to slide his tongue into her mouth and taste the cavern of her mouth with patience. He went slow and wasted no seconds gliding his tongue against Cara's who whimpered and all but willingly let him explore her. He rumbled against her lips, a shiver passing through him when her body arched out. He pulled back and breathed heavily against her mouth as the air between them thickened.

"You have so much sin bottled up inside you, Cara," He rasped. His dark cologne was all she could breathe, seeping into her nostrils like a sweet, intoxicating drug. "But not just any sin. You've lived your whole life in the warm cocoon of faith, belief and the church. You've been told what to feel, what to think, how to goddamn live. You've never had the chance to explore what you really want for yourself, not when everybody around you always dictated your choices. But your body has always known, Cara," Sin's lips moved to her ear and his voice drilled into her head like scripture. "And what you want, is carnal domination."

It was as if her body understood him and acted before her brain could catch up. Cara's body tightened and then undulated as his words settled inside her and landed in her gut. Heat coursed through her, and like a reflex, she whimpered and shut her eyes to it. "No. no, it's not possible... it's not what I want... it's not!"

"Isn't it?" Sin purred in her ear. "You don't want a man to hold you down while he uses your beautiful body as a toy and tells you exactly how much seeing it writhe pleases him?"

Cara felt her insides twist and her thighs rubbed together. She let out a soft cry when Sin clenched her wrist hard and sent a jolt of unexpected sweet pain through her already jumbled system. "Ah!"

"You don't want to spread your legs right now for me and let me feast on your wet, virgin pussy with my mouth until you come so hard you pass out?" He worked a knee between her wanton legs and forced them apart as he muscled his strong thigh between them. "Are you telling me you aren't soaked right now, Cara, gushing through your underwear?"

"Stop," She cried, shame tinting her cheeks a burning red as her body started grinding against his thigh in need. She couldn't think straight anymore and his words weren't helping. "S-stop it..."

"Mean it," He growled. His thigh drew away, and instantly her hips followed and continued to try and grind against him. "You want this, Cara. You want me."

"Why?" She sobbed, tears of mixed pleasure and guilt rolling down her cheeks to her ears. She didn't know why, but she did want him. She couldn't stop herself from arching up against his solid frame just to feel the friction of his clothes rub against her. Why did she crave him? Out of all the people in the world, why him?

"Because as carnal domination goes," He whispered hotly in her ear, before grasping her earlobe between his teeth and tugging harshly at it. "I'm the greatest you'll ever find."

And with that, Cara cried out as the friction his thigh caused between her legs made her seize up and come apart.

Cara sobbed as the waves of pleasure washed through her body and made her moan out in ecstasy. She could feel Sin's appreciative lips against the column of her neck, kissing her through her climax. Her wetness went through her panties like he had said and stained his pants as she continued rubbing herself against his thigh in the heavy throes. When the feeling slowly started to fade, Cara was panting, lashes wet with tears.

"This is why I came," Sin's voice sounded miles away in her post-orgasmic bliss as Cara tried to gather herself. When she surfaced back down to earth again, Sin was looming above her, eyes pinned directly on her though her heavy lids. "It's not what I want from you, it's what you want from me. I'll give it to you, for one simple price."

"What?" Cara croaked, too weak to put up any arguments to his statement. Her body was spent, exhausted after being too charged...

"Say you are mine. Say you belong to me. Then all you want is yours, Cara."

In a black smog, the weight of Sin's body disappeared into thin air. Cara was left panting on the bed, the sticky remnants of his promise outlining the inside of her panties.

Say you are mine.

Say you belong to me.

To the Devil.

– To Sin.
