Waiting
Waiting is the worst thing in the world. Emma and Jackson hadn't wanted to leave me but they had to go pick up Ava's parents at the airport. It had been three hours. After the first hour a doctor came out and told us that she was poisoned. I started to tune out what he was saying when I heard poison. I was going to be sick. That drink was meant for me. Whoever tainted that drink wanted to eliminate me. Suddenly, the pieces of the puzzle slid together in my mind. The sabotage, the familiar name, the waiter. Jordan Benedict. That was the name that looked so familiar. We were always swimming at the same place. He was my biggest competition for best on the team. Except he was more competitive than I was, to the point where he would cheat to get what he wanted. That poison was a feeling I never wanted to relieve. It felt like someone was trying to forcefully rip out my insides. Ava didn't deserve this. The only thing harder than experiencing the pain itself is having to watch someone you love have to go through it. Ava...No. My best friend didn't do anything, she didn't deserve this. I glanced at the clock, 3:58. The team would be announced at 5:00 tomorrow afternoon. That gave me 25 hours to reveal Jordan. He would make the team unless I did something, I was sure of it. And I wasn't having one idiot ruin my shot at the Olympics. He would surly do the same thing at the Olympics and after what happened to the Russia team, I couldn't have that, I couldn't wait another four years. I had one day to reveal Jordan. They never said the Trials were going to be easy.
