22 - Last Night

<Serenity HQ>

"WHAT THE HELL SEUNGCHEOL?!" Jeonghan slammed his hand on the desk.

Seungcheol just smiled without looking up.

"Are you seriously laughing right now?" Jeonghan squinted his brows.

Seungcheol hummed while focusing on his laptop's screen.

Jeonghan walked around the table. He turned Seungcheol's chair slightly and grabbed his collars, "What am I hearing? You're going on a blind date?!"

"That's right." Seungcheol nodded, "Is there a problem, darling?"

"Problem huh?" Jeonghan inched closer, his grip on the coat tightening, "You won't go. That's final."

"Oh really?" Seungcheol chuckled, thoroughly enjoying the younger's possessive determination, "And what makes you think you've a say in that?"

"Say?" Jeonghan left his collars and stood straight, "I'll break your legs if you decide to go for a date with someone else."

"Is that so?" Seungcheol mocked, "You would do that just to keep me home? How possessive."

"Do you think this is a joke?" Jeonghan raised a brow, "Fine. You want to go on a date, right? Go. Show me how you can get that audacity. Let's see."

"You want to see me go on a date that badly?" Seungcheol leaned back on his chair.

"Yeah." Jeonghan nodded, "And before that, I'm also going somewhere."

Seungcheol raised a brow, "Where exactly?"

Jeonghan turned around to walk away. He stood by the door as he grinned, "Min Hyeseok."

"Are you crazy or what?" Seungcheol immediately stood up.

"Go on date, love, after I surrender to him." Jeonghan slammed the door shut, locking it from outside.

"Jeonghan!" Seungcheol rushed to the door as he slammed on the door, "Damnit!" He quickly pulled out his phone, "Mingyu! Come to my cabin and open the door! DON'T ASK JUST COME HERE QUICKLY!!"

Mingyu arrived in a while as he unlocked the door, "Hyung-"

"Later." Seungcheol mumbled as he rushed out. He had to maintain the decency in the office but was restless as well.

Seungcheol made several calls to Jeonghan but he wasn't picking up. He had probably reached the parking lot already.

Seungcheol arrived out of the office's building as he saw Jeonghan driving away. His eyes widened as he froze at his place for a moment, "What the hell is wrong with him?!"

He rushed to his own car and asked the driver to stay away. He got into his car and drove away, closely following the younger's vehicle.

He called him again as Jeonghan finally picked up.

"Yoon Jeonghan!" Seungcheol rebuked, "Stop right away! Don't make me lose my temper, I'M NOT FUCKING KIDDING!"

"Me neither baby." Jeonghan's nonchalant voice echoed.

"I'm serious." Seungcheol's grip on the steering wheel tightened, "This is not a joke! Stop the car right now! RIGHT. NOW."

"You better prepare for your precious date, no?" Jeonghan replied, "Don't worry about me."

"Damnit Jeonghan, will you take this seriously?" Seungcheol gritted his teeth, his voice filled with anger and worry. "You're heading straight to danger, and you're acting as if it's just a simple outing. This is not a game, you idiot!"

"Why does that bother you hmm?" Jeonghan retorted, "Won't you like me in danger? You can go on blind dates easily then."

"You-" Seungcheol exclaimed, his voice echoing through the car. "How can you say something like that? Do you really think I want you in harm's way like this? I don't give a damn about blind dates! I care about you!"

"Aww how sweet but it is what is now." Jeonghan stated.

"Jeonghan- hear me out." Seungcheol paused, "It was a joke. Seriously. I'm not going on a date, it was just to annoy you."

"I'm not taking that crap."

"Damnit, Jeonghan!" Seungcheol's voice was filled with a mix of anger and exhaustion. "I swear, I'm telling the truth! It was just a joke. I never had any intention of going on a date. I was just trying to mess with you, but you took it seriously! Please, stop it."

"Shut up." Jeonghan stated as he cut the call.

Seungcheol grunted in anger as they were nearing Hyeseok's mansion.

"Enough." Seungcheol clenched his jaw as he made another quick call, making a few orders and commands. As the call was hung up, Seungcheol looked forward, "You need to know my actual power now, darling."

It was getting dark in the evening as Jeonghan increased the speed of the car but soon enough, another car came his way as he had to drift it. He continued driving the other way but the same thing repeated again.

Due to a series of manipulation on the road going on, Jeonghan found his car getting cornered away in an empty alleyway. He had to stop his car when he found himself surrounded by around eight of the vehicles.

From the car, right in front of him, Seungcheol moved out as he approached Jeonghan's car. He gently tapped on the bonnet of the car and gestured him to come out.

Jeonghan inhaled a deep breath as he walked out of his car and stood in front of the older, "What's your problem huh?"

"My problem?" Seungcheol repeated, taking a step closer to Jeonghan. "You, my darling, are my problem. Your little stunt earlier was quite reckless and stupid, don't you think?"

"And what are you going to do about it?" Jeonghan crossed his arms across his chest.

"Remember the deal we had made over working together against Hyeseok?" Seungcheol paused, "You broke it and now, I'm going to humble you down. Get into my car."

"I won't." Jeonghan frowned.

"Wrong answer." Seungcheol nodded, "You either get into my car willingly or I'll physically put you in there myself."

Jeonghan laughed briefly, "Keep talking your crap, I've other things to do."

"There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity." Seungcheol warned, "Get. Into. The. Car."

"I'm not listening to you, got it?" Jeonghan looked away.

Without a warning, Seungcheol grabbed Jeonghan swiftly and lifted him over his shoulder as he began to walk towards his car.

"Seungcheol, what the fuck?!!" Jeonghan punched his back, "Put me down!!"

"And give you another chance of running away?" Seungcheol grunted, "You're so eager to surrender, huh? Fine, you will, but for me."

He opened the passenger seat's door and placed the younger over it while fixing the seatbelt.

"You-"

"Shh." Seungcheol looked at him, "Not a single whisper should escape your lips, got that?"

"But-"

"Got that or not?"

"Got it."

"Good." Seungcheol shut the door and walked around to grab the driver's seat.

"Where are you taking me?" Jeonghan asked.

Seungcheol started driving, "The date was a lie. Jun and Seokmin were intentionally talking about it in front of you so that you could hear it. I had asked them to do so."

"I don't believe you." Jeonghan grumbled.

"And I'm not insisting you to believe me either." Seungcheol grunted. The drive was silent as the car halted after a while.

"My place?" Jeonghan frowned.

"Pack your bags." Seungcheol commanded, "You're going to live with me until Hyeseok is swiped off."

"What?" Jeonghan's eyes widened, "I'm not living with you or whatever."

"You are, and I'm not asking you." Seungcheol's tone was stern, "You've proven how reckless you are. I need to keep a close eye on you and until you learn to behave yourself, you'll be staying with me."

"You think you can order me around huh?" Jeonghan squinted his brows.

"Thats' exactly what you need." Seungcheol retorted, "Pack your bags and don't give me an attitude." He walked out of the car opening the passenger's seat, "Come out."

"No." Jeonghan crossed his arms.

"I swear I've never endured anyone's tantrums like this." Seungcheol scoffed.

"Whatever." Jeonghan rolled his eyes.

"You want to be carried out again?" Seungcheol raised a brow.

Jeonghan looked at the older, "I'm not going to do anything you ask."

Seungcheol unbuckled the seatbelt, "Come out, Jeonghan, right away."

"No." Jeonghan nodded.

Seungcheol inhaled a deep breath to calm his growing frustration. He held the younger's wrist and pulled him out, "Are you walking by yourself or not?"

Jeonghan pushed him slightly and walked into his apartment while Seungcheol closely followed.

"Pack your bags." Seungcheol asked, closing the door shut.

"Who are you to order me around huh?" Jeonghan glared, "I'm not going anywhere."

"Not again." Seungcheol scoffed, "Why are you testing my patience so much today?!"

"Because you're forcing me to do this and that." Jeonghan retorted.

"I'm not forcing you for myself, why can't you understand this simple thing?!" Seungcheol paused, "Jeonghan, you're upset at me, alright. Annoy me as much as you want, do whatever you want to EXCEPT for putting yourself in danger like this.

You're pulling these stunts as a game, but THIS is not at all a game. I'm hell bent on keeping even his shadow away from you and you just want to surrender? Why? Just because you couldn't take a joke of mine?"

Jeonghan looked away.

"You think it's my pride talking?" Seungcheol growled, "Alright, here you go." He knelt down where he was standing, "I apologize for whatever has hurt you. Pack your bags and come with me."

"Don't-" Jeonghan mumbled, "Don't do that."

"Pack your bags."

Jeonghan nodded as he disappeared into a room as Seungcheol waited outside. Soon enough, Jeonghan walked out with a bag in his hand.

Seungcheol took the bag from Jeonghan's hand and led him out. They settled in the car as Seungcheol began to drive again.

Jeonghan stayed silent, fidgeting with his fingers.

"What happened?" Seungcheol asked, "Are you still mad at me or something?"

"I'm mad at you 24/7." Jeonghan retorted.

"Of course." Seungcheol nodded, "You've a talent for holding grudges, don't you?"

"I'm going to your place but I've a few rules in mind." Jeonghan stated, "If you don't agree, I'll pull a pretty great stunt next time."

"Alright." Seungcheol chuckled lightly, "Let's hear your rules."

"First, you won't order me around for a single thing."

"No orders, got it." Seungcheol agreed.

"You will ask for permission before talking to me."

"Excuse me?" Seungcheol almost choked "You want me to ask for permission every time I want to talk to you? What's next, I have to kneel and beg for your attention?"

"You-" Jeonghan sighed, "Alright, let's modify it. You'll talk to me in an extremely gentle manner. And if I say I'm not in a mood to talk, you'll shut up."

"Fine, I'll speak to you gently and respect your boundaries. If you're not in the mood to talk, I'll keep my mouth shut. Anything else, your highness?"

"Yeah." Jeonghan cleared his throat, "The most important one. You won't touch me at all."

"That doesn't even make sense." Seungcheol scoffed, "Considering, I've touched you numerous times before, WITH consent."

"That doesn't matter." Jeonghan nodded, "You'll keep your hands off me, that's it."

"Fine." Seungcheol grumbled, "I won't touch you."

"Alright." Jeonghan leaned back on his seat.

"Happy, there?" Seungcheol mocked, "Having me twisted around your finger, obeying your rules."

"That's the least you can possibly do." Jeonghan retorted.

"Yeah right." Seungcheol chuckled without humor. Soon enough, the car halted in front of the mansion.

Seungcheol opened the passenger seat's door for Jeonghan and gestured him to come out without 'touching' him.

A staff member took Jeonghan's bag while Jun arrived, "Nice to see you here Mr. Yoon."

"Nice to see you too, Mr. Moon." Jeonghan retorted the greeting.

"Hyung." Jun turned to Seungcheol, "I've made them arrange the room as you had asked. Now, I'm going to my place."

"Thank you so much Jun." Seungcheol patted his back slightly.

"It's alright, take care." Jun left.

"This way." Seungcheol led Jeonghan to a room, "You'll be staying here. And yeah, about office, you'll be going with me."

"You're forgetting the first rule Seungcheol." Jeonghan crossed his arms against his chest.

"This room is for you, your highness, is it comfortable, do you like it?" Seungcheol smiled, "And is it okay if I take you to office from now on? I hope I'm not bothering you too much."

"Better." Jeonghan chuckled.

"Better?" Seungcheol leaned against the doorframe as the younger walked in, "Anything else I can do to make your stay more comfortable?"

"Hmm, fetch me a glass of water." Jeonghan asked.

Seungcheol walked into the room, pouring a glass of water from the side table and handing it to the younger, "Here you go, your highness." His voice was filled with mock revernce.

"Shut the curtains of the window, too." Jeonghan demanded.

"So first I got you a glass of water and now I've to close the curtains too?" Seungcheol raised a brow, "What next? Do you want me to put you to sleep?"

"You can't possibly do that." Jeonghan grinned, "You're not allowed to touch me."

"Yeah, right." Seungcheol sighed as he closed the curtains, "Freshen up, dinner time is around the clock, I'll call you soon."

"Seungcheol." Jeonghan chuckled menacingly, "Remember when you had to stay at my place, I cooked for you?"

"Yeah." Seungcheol nodded.

"Don't you think I deserve some good pampering after you literally carried me like a potato sack earlier?" Jeonghan crossed his legs, staring deep into the older's eyes.

"You want me to cook for you?" Seungcheol raised a brow.

"You won't?" Jeonghan asked.

"Alright." Seungcheol nodded with a sigh, "I will."

"Happily." Jeonghan added.

"Yeah, happily." Seungcheol paused, "I'll be sure to prepare a meal that will satisfy your royal palate."

"I hope so." Jeonghan grinned.

Seungcheol closed the door as he headed towards the kitchen to prepare the dinner. He rolled his sleeves while stepping into the kitchen.

"Sir, we were just going to prepare the dinner." The head cook stated, "The others have left already and won't be coming for dinner."

"It's alright." Seungcheol stated, "I'll handle the dinner tonight."

"Sir, are you sure?" The cook was taken aback for a moment, "We can take care of it, no need to trouble yourself."

"You're married, right?" Seungcheol asked.

"Yes sir." The cook nodded.

"And if your wife asks you to cook for you, what will you do?" Seungcheol proceeded further.

"I'll cook for her." He shrugged.

"Exactly. So, you understand the situation I'm in." Seungcheol explained, "I need to prepare dinner for my...guest."

The chef chuckled, "All the best sir."

"Much appreciated." Seungcheol nodded as the chef left.

"Alright, Seungcheol." He muttered to himself, "You can do this. How hard can it be, right? Just prepare a simple meal and make it taste decent, that's all."

With the newly found determination, he started preparing the meal. As he moved around the kitchen, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction, he just hoped he wasn't messing up anything.

After about an hour, Seungcheol stepped back and surveyed his work, "Hmm, looks great, I guess?" He carefully plated the food and added some garnishes, making sure everything looked as presentable as possible.

He made his way to Jeonghan's room and knocked.

"It's open." Jeonghan replied.

"Dinner's ready." Seungcheol stepped into the room with a slight hint of nervousness.

"Oh, already? I thought I'll get to smell some smoke or something before that." Jeonghan joked lightly.

"Yeah, very funny." Seungcheol rolled his eyes.

"Alright, then, let's go." Jeonghan stood up.

Seungcheol did a prince bow, "This way, sir."

"You're so cheesy." Jeonghan laughed slightly as both of them reached the dining area, "Hmm, smells good."

"I'm glad you think so." Seungcheol pulled out a chair for the younger to sit, "Please take a seat."

"Woah your behavior is giving me goosebumps." Jeonghan gasped.

"You're so overdramatic." Seungcheol retorted, sitting down next to Jeonghan. "Can't I be a gentleman and pull out a chair for you without it being a cause for shock?"

"You just don't understand." Jeonghan patted his shoulder.

"What was that?"

"What?"

"You broke the rule, Jeonghan."

"I didn't." Jeonghan protested, "The rule is that you can't touch me, but I can."

"Wow." Seungcheom muttered, "So you're allowed to touch me as much as you want, but I can't even lay a finger on you, is that it?"

"If you make a rule which denies me touching you, I'll accept it." Jeonghan nodded, focusing on the table.

"You'll accept it?" Seungcheol asked, "As in, you wouldn't find some loophole to exploit?"

"I see you're more interested in me breaking the rule even before you declare it." Jeonghan teased.

"Fine." Seungcheol crossed his arms, "I hereby declare a new rule. You are not allowed to touch me anywhere, anytime, without consent. Understood?"

"Wha- Are you serious?" Jeonghan gasped.

"I'm completely serious." Seungcheol's voice was stern, "No more touching without my permission. Deal with it."

"Alright then." Jeonghan nodded, "Whoever breaks the rule gets a penalty."

"A penalty?" Seungcheol raised a brow.

"Yeah, we can think of it later." Jeonghan stated, "Let's eat what you made, first."

"Well? How is it?" Seungcheol asked, slightly nervous.

"Hmm." Jeonghan leaned back in his chair, "You missed a chance of getting a shoulder pat and a kiss on the cheeks probably. Dinner is great, I would have appreciated you like that if you wouldn't have made that counter rule on me."

"First of all, thank you." Seungcheol bowed slightly, "Second, I hardly care about your pats and kisses. That counter rule was for my own sanity's sake."

Jeonghan continued to eat as he laughed. He leaned into the older's ear, "Ay, your sanity hmm?"

"Yes, my sanity." Seungcheol cleared his throat, "Now move away, don't cheat."

"How's that cheating?" Jeonghan's lips ghosted over the older's cheeks.

"It is cheating." Seungcheol paused, "Just- just behave yourself and finish your dinner, alright?"

"Alright!" Jeonghan nodded.

Both of them ate in comfortable silence after which they reached the hall, sitting idle on the couch.

Seungcheol stretched his arms after which he felt Jeonghan sitting beside him, careful not to touch even slightly, "Hello~"

"Hello." Seungcheol retorted sarcastically, "How may I help you?"

Jeonghan chuckled, leaning closer to the older's ear, "I was just saying that the dinner was great."

"Yeah." Seungcheol tried to sound nonchalant, "I'm glad you liked it."

Jeonghan pulled out a rose from the vase and traced the older's jawline with it, "I'm not touching you, it's the flower."

"That's still cheating." Seungcheol protested.

"How so?" Jeonghan inched closer, the rose running down to the older's neck, "Enlighten me?"

"Because-" Seungcheol regained his composure, "You're indirectly touching me through the rose."

"Oh, please." Jeonghan continued to trace the older's collarbones, "Our feet are touching the same floor, so you're also cheating, if that's the case."

"Feet- what?" Seungcheol frowned, "That's different."

"C'mon, Seungcheol." Jeonghan whispered in his ears, "A penalty is worth it if you get to touch me."

"I-" Seungcheol began to speak but halted.

"Give up darling." Jeonghan raised the flower to his jawline again, "When did you start getting scared of little penalties?"

"I'm not scared." Seungcheol muttered.

Jeonghan sat on his knees on the couch as he inched closer to the older's cheeks, "Then what's stopping you?"

"You." Seungcheol replied, "You're what's stopping me."

"I never did?" Jeonghan ran the rose over the older's lips, "I just fixed a penalty. Now tell me, is restraining the penalty more important than me?"

"I literally hate you." Seungcheol mumbled.

Jeonghan chuckled as he trailed the flower to his arms which were half exposed due to the rolled sleeves, "At this rate, your nerves are going to burst, Seungcheol."

"You've no idea what you're doing to me." Seungcheol grunted.

"I have a fair idea of that." Seungcheol whispered against the older's jaw, "Give up, Seungcheol."

"You beautiful, manipulative, maddening creature-" Seungcheol muttered, his resistance crumbling, "Why do you have to be so damn irresistible?"

Jeonghan chuckled, the rose trailing up the older's cheeks, "Irresistible? But you're resisting me too much just because of the fear of a penalty."

"It's not the penalty, I swear." Seungcheol mumbled, "It's what I'd do to you if I actually give in."

Jeonghan gently blew air into the older's earlobe, "C'mon, that ain't it. Give in already, just accept you can't win."

"Damn you to hell, Jeonghan." With a swift motion, Seungcheol grabbed Jeonghan by the nape and pulled him into a fierce, possessive kiss, no longer caring about the penalty or anything else.

Jeonghan climbed onto Seungcheol's lap, straddling him and pressing himself against the older. He reciprocated the kiss, matching the fervor and intensity of the older's embrace.

"Gave up, darling?" Jeonghan chuckled with victory.

"You think you've won?" Seungcheol retorted, his hand firmly gripping the younger's waist, "You've no idea what you've unleashed."

Jeonghan leaned closer, holding the older's cheek with one of his palms, "Oh really? What did I unleash?"

"You've unleashed the beast." Seungcheol muttered, "And now that I've given in, I'm going to make you pay for all the hell you've put me through tonight."

Jeonghan wrapped his arms around the older's shoulders, "And how are you planning to do that?"

Seungcheol's grip on the younger's waist tightened, pulling you closer, "I'm going to worship you, make you forget your own name by the time I'm done with you."

"Oh-" Jeonghan whimpered intentionally, "Handle with gentle care, okay?"

"Gentle? After what you've put me through?" Seungcheol traced the younger's thighs, "I'll handle you however I please, darling."

Jeonghan fidgeted with the older's collars, "And what will please you hmm?"

"What will please me?" Seungcheol raised a brow, "You will. You beneath me, writhing and piercing your fingers into my back. That's what would please me right now."

Jeonghan chuckled, "Calm down darling, aren't you forgetting something?"

"What is it now?" Seungcheol frowned.

Jeonghan held the older's cheeks tenderly, "The penalty."

"Penalty-" Seungcheol's eyes widened, "Can't we forget it for now?"

"Not at all." Jeonghan grinned, "So? Ready to hear your justice?"

"Fine." Seungcheol sighed, gently caressing the younger's back, "What is it?"

"For the rest of the week, you'll be-" Jeonghan traced the older's jawline, "At my mercy."

"Wha-"

"Shh." Jeonghan pressed a finger on the older's lips, "Which means, no backtalking, no attitude, no disobedience and absolutely nothing that could possibly upset me."

"You're basically turning me into your puppet for a week." Seungcheol scrunched his brows.

"You should have thought before breaking the rule." Jeonghan shrugged.

"Alright." Seungcheol sighed in annoyance, "But you too, handle with gentle care, okay?"

Jeonghan got up from the older, "Oh I surely will."
