16 - Guilty Pleasure

<Serenity HQ>

Seungcheol sat in his large, luxurious office overlooking the city. The evening sunlight filtered through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting shadows across the room. He swirled the cup of coffee in his hand as his thoughts turned to the person who was messing with every inch of his sanity - Jeonghan.

Seungcheol was used to being in control, both in professional and personal life. But Jeonghan? He challenged him in ways he had never experienced before. And over that, Seungcheol seemed to like it.

One week had passed after their last interaction and since then, both of them were maintaining their respective stances, or more like, were trying to do so. Because, there were times where one of them would almost lose their cool.

Seungcheol sighed as he stood up and decided to roam around in the corridor. He pushed open the door of his cabin and walked out, earning a few professional greetings from his employees.

Seungcheol paused in the hallway, catching sight of Jeonghan chatting casually with another employee at the coffee counter.

The scene shouldn't have bothered him. Jeonghan was allowed to talk to his fellow workers, after all. But something about the sight of Jeonghan laughing and joking with someone else sent a feeling of jealousy through his chest.

Jeonghan's gaze fell on Seungcheol who was was staring at him from a distance. He chuckled to himself as he patted the arm of the other person talking to him in a friendly way.

Seungcheol's jaw clenched watching Jeonghan pat the man's arm in a friendly way, a mocking smile on his lips. He knew Jeonghan was doing it intentionally, trying to rile him up. And damn if it wasn't working.

He stood there in the hallway, fighting the urge to march over and pull Jeonghan away from the other man.

But he calmed himself and walked back to his cabin. He knew that Jeonghan was simply trying to provoke him, to show him that he had other people he could give attention to. Seungcheol was annoyed to admit the fact that his plans were sailing.

Soon enough he heard a knock at the door, "Come in."

Jeonghan entered Seungcheol's cabin with a file in hand and casual smile on his face. He knew what effect he was having on the older.

"Need your signature on this, Mr. Choi." Jeonghan held out the file from him.

"Yeah." Seungcheol took the file. He loosened his tie a bit, the suffocation of God knows what, eating him up.

"Long day?" Jeonghan leaned against the edge of the desk, "You seem a bit tensed?"

"Exhausted." Seungcheol answered without looking up.

"Of course." Jeonghan's voice laced with forced concern, "Too much work, isn't it?"

"Yeah, too much work." Seungcheol finally looked up, "And a certain employee who doesn't know when to give me space."

"I wonder who that person is." Jeonghan sighed heavily.

"Yeah, real mystery." Seungcheol replied sarcastically, "It's not like there's only one person in this office who gets under my skin like no one else."

"And it's also not a secret that you want his attention every next second." Jeonghan retorted.

Seungcheol scoffed as he focused back on the document, "As if I can shut you up."

Jeonghan laughed briefly as he went to stand behind Seungcheol's seat, "I'll help you loosen up, sir."

"I don't need your help." Seungcheol protested but it was more than clear that he didn't mean it.

Jeonghan pressed his fingers against the older's shoulders, "Shh, both of us know that you do."

Jeonghan's fingers deftly glided over Seungcheol's shoulders and neck, applying just the right amount of pressure. Seungcheol's eyes fluttered shut as a soft sigh escaped his lips.

"Feeling better, Mr. Choi?" Jeonghan chuckled, pleased with the effect he was having.

"Yeah." Seungcheol nodded, very well aware of the fact that he was letting his guards down.

Jeonghan slowly eased off Seungcheol's coat away, his hands running up the older's back to his shoulders as he felt his toned muscles through the thin material of his shirt. His fingers grazed through the older's shirt's collars.

Seungcheol tried to mask his growing desire, the way Jeonghan's absolutely intentional teasing was testing his patience, and the way he was clearly losing his calm.

"I see, you quiet enjoy taking favors from your employees." Jeonghan's hands reached his biceps.

Seungcheol let out a knowing chuckle, "Well, this is not exactly the favor that has advantages."

"I know, Mr. Choi." Jeonghan felt the older's firm muscles under his touch, "I was just joking."

Seungcheol scoffed, he just wanted to press Jeonghan against the desk and make him pay for riling him up. But he restrained, he wasn't supposed to give in, especially not like Jeonghan wanted.

"Plus-" Jeonghan's touch continued its torturous path, his hands mapping out every inch of Seungcheol's shoulders and biceps, "I don't even mind."

"You don't mind, what?" Seungcheol hummed as he began to relax.

"Helping you relax." Jeonghan grinned, "I hope no one else helps you like I do."

"Nobody." Seungcheol admitted, "Nobody else has dared to rile me up like you do."

"Better." Jeonghan's firm touches were definitely crumbling the older's demeanor, "Because a certain someone doesn't want me to use my dagger anymore."

Seungcheol let out a low chuckle, letting Jeonghan's warning hang in the air.

"Do you want more of this?" Jeonghan whispered into the older's ears.

Seungcheol internally fought the urge to keep Jeonghan close to himself, "No, it's fine."

"Hmm." Jeonghan began to retract his hands gradually, "Alright then."

Seungcheol cursed beneath his breath as he couldn't help but let Jeonghan have the upper hands in their unspoken challenge, "Wait, you may continue."

Jeonghan chuckled as he spun Seungcheol's chair around, standing between the older's knees while pressing his shoulders, "You seem to need this a lot. Work can get stressful, right?"

"Definitely." Seungcheol eyed the younger from top to bottom.

Jeonghan grinned in victory as he continued to apply the right amount of pressure on his shoulders and biceps. Jeonghan's fingers moved slowly, untying Seungcheol's tie with a deliberate, seunsual movement.

Seungcheol gulped visibly, he could swear on anything that he was practically aching for Jeonghan's proximity. At that moment, nothing seemed to be enough.

Jeonghan chuckled as he let the older's tie hang around his own neck, the sight making Seungcheol's throat go dry as he remained on the edge.

"Loosen up." Jeonghan whispered while moving back to his arms, "Mr. Choi." His thumbs reached to press circles on the older's collarbones, "I won't like if my hands fail to work as the way they should."

"You're doing just fine." Seungcheol breathed out. He wanted Jeonghan, desperately but he couldn't admit it. He simply sat there, his body taut and rigid as the only thing that betrayed his true feelings was the heat in his gaze.

"Oh, I get it." Jeonghan's fingers worked on his lower neck.

Seungcheol couldn't take it anymore. He stood up from the chair and pushed Jeonghan against the desk.

Jeonghan's hand landed on the older's chest, "Calm down there, what happened?"

"You know exactly what happened." Seungcheol grunted, "You and your unmatched methods, I can't take it anymore."

Jeonghan leaned closer to the older's ear while his fingers traced patters on his arms, "You know, your current actions are betraying your earlier attempts to prove that you've no feelings for me."

"That was different." Seungcheol tried to twist his own words, "This is just me being unnecessarily impatient."

"Oh is it?" Jeonghan chuckled, "Then tell me, how often and with how many people do you tend to lose control?"

"Never." Seungcheol gripped the younger's waist, "You're the only menace in my life."

"I'm glad to hear that." Jeonghan pulled him closer, "I really want you to lose all of your control."

"You're not taking it towards a good direction." Seungcheol whispered, his hot breath lingering on the younger's jawline.

"I've a fair idea of where it's going." Jeonghan chuckled, "You want it too, don't you?"

Seungcheol contemplated his answer but no matter how much he tried, he couldn't lie, "I do."

Jeonghan clutched on his collars as he inched closer to the older's lips, "If you like me all wrecked, then, I like you all desperate. Like this."

"Is that so?" Seungcheol raised a brow.

"Hmm I do but-" Jeonghan gently pushed him away, "I know you don't want any of it so I better stay in my limits, right?"

Seungcheol struggled to compose himself at the sudden gesture. He saw that coming but still fell for it, "You're right. I don't want any of this."

Jeonghan chuckled teasingly while picking up the files, "Have a great day ahead, Mr. Choi."

Seungcheol watched the younger wrapping up his documents, his calm demeanor pissing off Seungcheol to no end. He wanted to pull Jeonghan back and wipe off that smug smile off his face, but as usual, he restrained.

Jeonghan left the cabin while whistling casually, a clear depiction of him flaunting his victory.

Seungcheol grunted as he slammed his hand on the desk, his body aching with the denied desire, "I swear- This man! Argh!!!"

"It's after two days, I hope everything is well prepared." Mingyu nodded, "It's the 50th anniversary of the legacy of Serenity Hyperbotics. It needs to be grand."

"Yes sir." One of the three staff members answered, "The idea of organising it at the terrace of the building is amazing. It's spacious and looks absolutely stunning at night with all those extravagant lights."

"Yeah, making it extravagant is the point." Mingyu agreed, "Sometimes flaunting is necessary to hold a strong place in the business world. Anyways, all the best for it. Dismiss."

As the staff members left, Mingyu focused on his laptop, scrolling through the pending mails.

"Jun hyung." He mumbled to himself while recalling a task as he made his way out of his cabin.

He reached Jun's cabin and stepped in who wasn't there. But he was quick to notice another person standing against the desk - Jeon Wonwoo.

"Why are you here?" Mingyu blurted out immediately.

"Is this your cabin?" Wonwoo asked.

"No?"

"Then why am I supposed to answer you?" Wonwoo rolled his eyes, "I've work with Mr. Moon."

"That won't change the fact that I'm still your boss." Mingyu commented, "And I haven't forgiven you for almost pushing me from the window that day."

"As if I'm dying for your forgiveness." Wonwoo snorted.

"Of course, what else did I expect?" Mingyu sneered, "You're too unfazed by the fact that you could've caused a mishap that day, aren't you?"

"Holding grudges for little things doesn't suit you, Mr. Kim." Wonwoo retorted.

"Little?" Mingyu's tone was sarcastic, "You consider almost pushing me from a window a 'little thing'?"

"Please don't start again with that." Wonwoo huffed, "You shouldn't have annoyed me in the first place."

"You will literally throw someone out of the window of a damn building just because they annoyed you?" Mingyu raised a brow.

"I-" Wonwoo looked straight into his eyes, "Definitely will."

Soon enough, a lady arrived at the cabin. She was decent looking and was at a considerable post. As she stepped in, she got intimidated by the unknown tension lingering in the cabin but nevertheless greeted both the males.

"How are you doing, Miss Park?" Mingyu gently asked as the lady replied and both of them began to talk.

Wonwoo raised a brow at the change in tone of the younger. The usually arrogant one was talking sweetly. Oh, was he crushing on someone?

Wonwoo's lips curled into a menacing chuckle. He was too eager to bring some drama in Mingyu's life.

"Oh, darling." Wonwoo held the younger's arm, "Didn't know, you were in good terms with Miss Park."

Mingyu's eyes widened at the sudden gesture as he shot a warning glare to the older.

"Darling- what?" The lady looked at Wonwoo's possessive grip, "You both are- dating?"

"Ah no no-" Mingyu forced a smile, "There's nothing like that, right Mr. Jeon?"

"You and your dishonest behavior." Wonwoo rolled his eyes dramatically.

"Oh my, that's not fair Mr. Kim." The lady chuckled, "You should treat your partner in the right way."

"Exactly?" Wonwoo added with a hint of complaint in his tone.

Mingyu struggled to come up with a response but before he could do so, Wonwoo spoke again, "Yeah." His grip on the younger's arm tightened, "He doesn't treat me right, does he?"

"You've got a nice one, Mr. Kim. Congratulations to both of you." The lady smiled genuinely.

"Thanks- uh NO! I mean-" Mingyu tried to clarify the misunderstanding but before that, the lady walked out of the cabin.

The news was going to spread in the office like a wildfire.

As soon as she left, Wonwoo spared Mingyu's arm as he grinned mockingly.

"What the hell, Mr. Jeon?!" Mingyu hissed, "Why did you do that?"

"Felt like it." Wonwoo shrugged, "Needed some drama in YOUR life."

"You're enjoying this huh?" Mingyu gritted out, "Do you even realize the fake rumors you've just created?"

"Scared, are we?" Wonwoo grinned, "That you might not get to flirt with anyone?"

"I don't flirt with anyone." Mingyu snapped, "I've standards."

"Yeah? Try to raise them." Wonwoo mocked.

"My standards are one thing." Mingyu retorted, "And dealing with you is a whole different headache."

"I thought you were immune to headaches." Wonwoo laughed briefly, "Because you've been dealing with yourself since forever."

"And I thought you had some braincells left in that head of yours." Mingyu hissed, "Guess, we're both wrong, aren't we?"

"Well-" Wonwoo was intervened by Jun entering into the cabin.

"Both of you, here?" Jun raised a brow, "Leave it, you both are dating?!! Since, when?"

Mingyu sighed heavily, the rumors were spreading too fast. He shot a glare before speaking, "We're not dating Jun hyung, it's all fake."

Wonwoo tensed up as well. He simply nodded in agreement.

"You both are fake dating?" Jun frowned, "Why?!"

"It's a long story." Mingyu replied, "It was all-"

"To cut in unnecessary relationships, of course." Wonwoo cut in abruptly as Jun stared at both of them in disbelief.

"You come with me." Mingyu gripped Wonwoo's arm.

"What- I've files to get signed by Mr. Moon-"

"Shut up." Mingyu mumbled to the older while dragging him to his own cabin and locking it shut.

"What the hell, Mr. Kim?" Wonwoo yelled.

"This is your mess, Mr. Jeon." Mingyu pressed him against the wall, "You dragged me into this. You were too eager to act up as my boyfriend right, alright, this will be it now."

"What-" Wonwoo gasped.

Mingyu leaned in closer, "If you're going to act like my boyfriends randomly in front of the others then act your part behind the closed doors too."

"What do you mean?" Wonwoo muttered.

Mingyu's grip on Wonwoo tightened, his breath hot against the older man's ear."You know exactly what I mean," he whispered, his voice filled with a hint of menace. "If you're going to pretend to be my boyfriend in public, then you need to play the role in private too. That means no more backtalk, no more attitude, and no more bullshit."

"I-" Wonwoo's breath hitched but he quickly maintained his calm, "Shut it already."

"Oh I'm just getting started, darling?" Mingyu's tone dripped with mockery.

"Darling-" Wonwoo's eyes widened, "What the fuck?!"

"What? You didn't like that?" Mingyu chuckled.

"Mr. Kim- that's not it." Wonwoo sternly stated, "I don't actually mean anything I said in front of Miss Park. I just- had to annoy you because you were doing the same."

Mingyu gripped on the older's arms, "I don't give a damn. You started it and now you're going to pay for it. Don't think I'll spare you that easily, I'll show you what you've done by fueling dating rumors with me."

Wonwoo clenched his jaw, "I freaking hate you!"

"Same but that won't bring us out of this mess." Mingyu's lips ghosted over the older's neck, "And trust me, I've no intentions of letting your little stunt go unpunished. Brace yourself, darling."
